Really good laptop. Battery life is not the best but everything else is amazing.

Regarding battery life, by default, the system will tend to give more speed when needed, which can sacrifice battery life. If you want to squeeze out more battery life, we recommend utilizing the Lenovo Vantage application that is preinstalled to adjust settings related to power and battery performance (to access relevant settings, open Vantage > Device Settings > Power). You can also take advantage of the keyboard shortcut, Fn + Q to toggle thermal modes and easily switch between prioritizing battery life or power, or even the best of both worlds.

I cannot access Microsoft Excel program files. PartsGeek was unhelpful about this.

I bought this and returned it the next day because the microsoft surface went on sale and that was what I really wanted. That being said this computer was very cheaply made, I had an ideapad previously and loved it, this was a disappointment

Purchased on 9/4 today is 9/26 and the screen keeps going out. Took it to bestbuy for an exchange they told me I'm out of the 14 day window and have to go through lenova now. Very upset as this was a gift for Mom and she's already having problems after owning for roughly 3 weeks. Extremely disappointed in how best buy handles this

To start, we recommend adjusting your device’s sleep settings which may be causing your system to shut off the screen faster than needed. Firstly, open the Settings app, then select the “Systems” tab located on the left hand of the device, click the “Power & battery” option on the right-hand side of the display, finally choose the “Screen, sleep & hibernate timeouts” tab, this will open a drop-down menu where you can change how quickly your device goes into sleep mode. We also suggest that you check for software and drivers updates through Lenovo Vantage and Windows Update Settings which may be impacting your device’s ability to communicate with the display effectively. To check for updates in Lenovo Vantage, start by launching the Lenovo Vantage app and selecting the “Check for updates” button on the right-hand side of the homepage. To check for Windows Updates, start by launching the Settings app, then selecting the Windows Update tab on the left-hand side of the page, finally select the “Check for updates’ button located in the top right of the page.

Two Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3's died in two months

We bought our first one in early September 2025. It failed on September 12,2025. We were able to return it to Best Buy. It is now October 28, 2025, and the "new" one has a black screen. Totally unusable. I was tol Lenovo laptops were reliable, but two failed laptops in two months is unacceptable. I will contact Lenovo tomorrow, but I would want anything but a Lenovo.

It works. but there's a reason it's discounted so much. Wifi constantly turns itself off. filling in online text fields the mouse icon often disappears. Even my previous dell worked better than this.

Everything ok, except Window Hello Face not working

Did not realize that the OS was windows home need the pro version

The screen and the buttons are overly sensitive it changes screens all the time and I don’t even realize I’m doing it. It’s really annoying when I’m trying to work. Would love to return it and swap it for something else.

everything is good and what the price i paid for, however when the laptops below 20 percent it will refuse to connect to wifi then crash.

Computer received an update from Lenovo a little over a month after purchase. The update deactivated my pin and now I am locked out of my computer, by Windows, for at least 30 days. I went to Best Buy’s Geek Squad and they were unable to help since it was a Windows issue. So now my computer is sitting there useless. I was warned by an IT consultant not to buy Lenovo, wish I had listened.

To start, you may need to factory reset your system. If you wish to complete this process, the instructions are listed below: 1. There is a small pin hole on the bottom right side of the device, first in line before the other ports on the right side. You will need a pin (a SIM ejector tool or the end of a paperclip should suffice) to push this reset button. 2. Push the reset button. The system should boot to a choice screen where you can choose to view "System Recovery" options. Select System Recovery. 3. On the next screen, select "Troubleshooting", then "Reset this PC". Select the option to remove everything from the system and for Windows to be installed locally. You will need to reinstall all programs and files after the reset.
