It doesn’t overheat and runs quickly. The only room for improvement would be a backlit keyboard that could be toggled but that just wasn’t part of this computer’s design so it’s not a fault.

Good laptop for casual use with some lacking

Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall, the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 15.6" with AMD Ryzen 7 has better then expeccted performance to price ratio. However, there are three areas make this laptop less desirable to be the ideal home laptop. 1) the small size keyboard causes troubles for speed typing. 2) the laptop has weak and low quality speakers. Not good for movie or music playing. 3) it only has two USB ports. Wish it has more.

Does what is needed

Easy to get started and visuals are very good. Speaker sound is ok not great but that was expected. I only wish it had a lighted keyboard but that's on me.

I like it over the Dells Ive owned.

I’ve always had dells for the past 23 year but I like this one for the most part. Only big issue I’ve had was getting some sort of a “PSP found PSP NVRAM exists but not healthy. PSP requiring to clear PSP NVRAM” message when I tried to download some initial BIOS updates from the Lenovo site. Apparently it has something to do with the encryption on the computer which I turned off and haven’t had the issue since. Other than that, no issues. I do wish I had the ability to replace the battery when it gets old. Every laptop I’ve owned I’ve had to do that so I’m not sure what I’ll do when this battery goes bad in a few years. I also wish I had access to the ram in case that ever goes bad so that I can replace that too.

Very good laptop

Struggles a bit to run beamng drive at higher settings, but low settings, it gets a playable framerate. Charges quick, is quite durable, and the battery lasts a long time.

way stronger than I thought

I was shocked how much this could handle (Adobe illustrator, 7 tabs Firefox, and discord). If you are starting out or can't afford a lot, this compares well to my 2k Zephyrus laptop.
