Beware those Chrome OS Updates

And when I unboxed it and started using it about 2 and a half months ago, I was very impressed. So what happened that I now rate my beautiful Slim 3 only 2 stars? Chrome OS 118 happened! Originally, when I started using it, the Slim 3 was using Chrome OS 117. But right after it upgraded to Chrome OS 118, Android apps broke. Apps important to me that I've been using for months on Android 13 smartphones could not get the Slim 3's critical Battery level. And with help from the Chromebook Community, I know that's not true for other Chromebooks running Chrome OS 119 (which also has this problem for the Slim 3). Well, if upgrading the Chrome OS to version from 118 to 119 didn't solve the problem, maybe Chrome OS 120 will? -It doesn't look like it. I tried the Beta version of Chrome OS 120, and the problem remains for the hapless Lenovo Slim 3. My hope in joining Chromebook users with the purchase of my Lenovo Slim 3 was to get off the Android tablet treadmill, with the short manufacturer support periods of Android tablets. Now I've got a Chromebook alright, but one that does not appear to have its hardware fully supported by the Chromebook division of Google. So what will future Chrome OS updates break in the functionality of the Lenovo Slim 3 Chromebook? -Time will tell.
