I purchased this Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 Chromebook (14" Full HD Touchscreen, MediaTek Kompanio 520, 4GB RAM, 64GB eMMC in Abyss Blue) from Best Buy during a sale, and it's been a game-changer for my daily needs. As someone who mainly uses a laptop for web browsing, email, Google Docs, YouTube streaming, and light multitasking, this has exceeded my expectations for the price. First off, the build and design are impressive. The Abyss Blue color looks sleek and modern not your typical boring black or silver. It's lightweight (under 3 pounds) and slim, making it super portable for carrying around the house or to a coffee shop. The 14-inch Full HD touchscreen is bright, sharp, and responsive colors pop nicely, and it's great for scrolling or tapping through apps. Performance-wise, the MediaTek Kompanio 520 processor handles everything I throw at it smoothly. Chrome OS boots up in seconds, and I've had no issues running multiple tabs, Android apps, or even some light photo editing. The 4GB RAM is sufficient for basic tasks, and it stays snappy without lag. But the standout feature is the battery life – easily 13+ hours on a charge! I can go a full day (or more) without plugging in, which is perfect for on-the-go use. The keyboard is comfortable for typing, speakers are decent for media, and the webcam has a privacy shutter, which is a nice touch. Storage is 64GB eMMC, which is limited, but Chrome OS relies heavily on cloud storage, and there's a microSD slot for expansion if needed. Overall, purchasing from Best Buy was seamless quick pickup and great customer service. Got this for my kid for school. The build quality is good and he's happy with the performance. He's been using the school's Chromebooks for a couple of years now and he's happy with his own now. It can handle some light web gaming just fine. Can do HDMI with a USB-C to HDMI adapter, however you will lose the ability to charge at the same time, but battery life is quite good! Wi-fi is acceptable but not great. I'm used to Macbook Pros and i7 Gaming Laptops and the Wifi in this Chromebook isn't nearly as good, unfortunately, but that's understandable in a machine of this class. The speakers are above average sounding better than my gaming laptop, but not as good as my work Macbook pro. My kid really liked the color since it wasn't your typical black or silver/gray. I was skeptical of the MediaTek chip, but it seems to be doing just fine. For the price, this seems like a great machine so far and has a great AUE date out to June 2032 so there is plenty of life in this machine. I wish it had 8 GB of RAM, but again for the price point, 4GB seems pretty standard and sufficient.

Great Chromebook with touch screen you will will get your moneys worth with this one. Fast, small but not too small. Solid and sturdy. With a memory card that helps it stay somewhat quick but prone to lag depending on memory you add to the device. Other then that a back lit keyboard would make this a must buy . can lag at times depending on the amount of memory Love how easy it pairs with my other devices. Lightweight of my favorite purchases as the last one just needed a new battery as I have never had any problemswith this brand what so ever

I love my Chromebook! It's the perfect size, perfect weight - it's light but not too small. I love the color, the touchscreen, the visual quality, the functionality, the built-in security, everything is great! I just wish they let us have Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and all of that on Chromebook because Google Play doesn't let me download it for my computer. I also think it's odd that when I shut the laptop, it just opens everything when I open it again, it doesn't lock when I close it. That's probably a thing I can change in settings, and I know I can lock it before I close it, it's just not what I was used to with my old laptop. Other than that it's great!

Perfect for what we needed it for - my husband just needed something to browse on the internet and pay bills, etc. Holds a surprisingly good charge. Of course it's a chromebook so the storage is limited and no Microsoft apps. Good for casual use.

Purchased as spare computer since the others are cluttered with many documents and the HP laptop keyboard is silver and hard to see! This is perfect addition and recommend the touchscreen version! Lightweight and Battery life is good too!

I purchased my Lenovo laptop on August 15, 2025, and after using it for about a month, I can confidently say it deserves a 5-star rating. One of my favorite features is the touchscreen, which makes navigation really intuitive and adds a level of convenience, especially for quick tasks and presentations. I also love how small and easy to manage it is—it’s light, portable, and perfect for carrying around for work or travel. Honestly, I don’t have any major complaints about this laptop so far. It performs smoothly, and I haven’t run into any issues that would make me reconsider my choice.

tl;dr: The 2023 Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 14" is a great value in a clamshell touchscreen Chromebook with superior battery life and a distant June of 2032 AUE date (two years longer than even the "hot new" HP Dragonfly Pro introduced at the same time.) It does everything a Chromebook should! It has USB-C (which can be used to drive a second display at least FHD), USB A, and a uSD slot. The plastic case feels sturdy and stiff and not cheap; bulkier than the metal-cased HP 13G1 it replaced but is still sub- 3 lbs. FHD resolution screen with a matte anti-reflection surface specs slightly brighter than HP x360 models at this price point. Touchscreen, trackpad, and keyboard are all as expected. Backlit keyboard and a fingerprint reader would be nice but are not typical at this price point. Camera is as expected beyond having a physical shutter. With 4GB of memory and the low power/long battery life MediaTek Kompanio 520 CPU, it has been snappy and responsive in everything I've used it for, constrained only by the network and web; so, this makes it just what a Chromebook should be. It stays cool to the touch doing everything I've asked of it. (If it has a fan, I've never heard it.) My only complaint is that the case finish and color show every fingerprint. The extended AUE date is a cherry on top. Did I mention it has great battery life?

I bought the co outer because it was cheap and had all the feature i was looking for in a laptop i like it so far i give it 4 stars because it can not handle more than 5 tabs open before it start to lag and stuggle handleing the tasks but other than that the laptop is great good soze battery life speakers are loud and screen quality is great id buy it if you looking for a laptop to do basic things like browsing however if your gonna do hw and other things for school it will get the job done but id buy something stronger for optimal performance

Not a perfect machine, but for its price and purpose, it delivers real value. If you use a laptop mainly for web-based tasks, note-taking, emailing, streaming and light productivity, and you want something affordable, portable, and easy to live with, it’s a smart choice. But you’ll need to accept its compromises (RAM/storage/performance) and treat it as a “basic everyday machine” not a beast.

Chromebook user for years, but I’ve always given up features for cost. With this, I didn’t have to. The screen is amazing, keyboard tactile response is spot on, and the speed, overall weight, and size are perfect for ‘armchair’ computing. I love this thing
