meh, some good, some not so good

This Chromebook is adequate, but I miss that extra inch. The battery does run longer but i feel like I'm shaking my own hand when I use the keyboard. It definitely cramps my style. It has been awkward dealing with changes that were made to my email presentation on this device. In short, it's a different way of doing things and I'm not really thrilled by that.

Perfect for home schoolers!

This fits the bill perfectly. All her online study materials work well on the Chromebook, and it's actually the preferred platform. Plus her parents (for whom I'm "in-house Grandpa tech support) can now be confident that she is protected from the evils of the Internet. As an IT professional, I researched the options and find the Kompanio 520 processor is exceptionally fast for the money, and Chrome works snappily in only 4GB or memory -- Much faster than Windoze! Plus we are in total control of privacy, without Microsoft's nosy intrusion into our personal lives and the annoying and dangerous AI Slop being forced upon us.

Touch screen works great. The display is crisp. I have had minimal problems web surfing, watching YouTube videos, email etc. I am not a gamer so I can't answer how it performs in that capacity. Several Chrome OS updates have been installed without issues. If I had it to do over again though, I probably spring for 8 gig of RAM
