Excellent Cheap Laptop

It struggles with extensive multitasking, but that's to be expected on a device like this. I am not a fan of Windows 11 S mode, but that can easily be turned off. The only real complaint I have is that 128 GB of storage seems almost like a punishment for trying to save some money in a world of 1TB SD cards and flash drives. Other than that I really like this computer for its size, weight, display, keyboard, and just about everything else.

Value doesn't mean cheap

I have a more powerful gaming laptop that I was using, but the weight of the laptop and power supply was killing my back. The IdeaPad Slim has none of these issues. It is light with small power supply that doesn't wear me out when I carry it in my bag. I use this laptop for Excel, email, and other moderate use work tasks. The IdeaPad handles all of these tasks with ease. The large screen allows me to have multiple windows open without having to carry a separate monitor and the number pad makes data entry in Excel faster. This is my third Lenovo laptop and has met my expectations from the brand. This laptop has the lowest entry point of the three Lenovo laptops I have had and it does show in the details. The seams on the edge IdeaPad have a slight edge and there is a little more flex in the keyboard than the other laptops I have, full disclosure I am a heavy typist.

Biggest con is the Screen

I cannot seem to change it and I already put the gamma to it's lowest setting and the brightness scale does not help the issue. The memory is bad and gets eaten up easily (as in 1 tab), Mcafee and bloatware. Sounds is below average but passable. it techinically works but the poor display is a critical issue.

If you cannot adjust brightness, this is likely a software error. To try to resolve this, we recommend ensuring you have the latest software by checking for updates, as this could correct the issue. To do so, first, open the Settings app > Select the Windows update tab > Select the Check for updates button, apply all available updates. Next, open the Lenovo Vantage app > on the homepage, select the Check for updates button, following on-screen prompts to apply all available updates here as well.
The above steps can help to address performance issues as well, and if you're unsatisfied with any preinstalled software, we recommend uninstalling it, as it may improve your sentiments on the system, along with boosting performance if you believe it is negatively impacting stability as you alluded to.
