Not what was expected
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Its a nice laptop and all, but I really cant get over that fact that it becomes a 2015 macbook air when you don't have it plugged into power. The screen is really nice and the materials are premium, no doubt. The battery life is also pretty horrible. If your gaming, get a desktop, and if you need a laptop for utility, stick with apple.

Excellent laptop

The keyboard has a great feel to it as well as the trackpad. For as powerful as it is the battery life is pretty solid, especially if you switch to igpu (which is very capable of gaming by itself). I do wish it had a ethernet cable port but can live without it. Also, it would be more ideal if you get the 5070 TI version as you can find the 8 GB of RAM a little lacking in the regular 5070, but since I don't do too much intensive gaming, it works fine for my use case.

The keyboard has a great pump without the noise, and while the blinking lights seem like a disco, but you can terminate that in the settings easily. What’s really fantastic is the Intel Core Ultra 9 inside. Super.

Please ensure that all available updates are installed through Lenovo Vantage and Windows Update Settings. These updates can adjust power regulation leading to lower thermals while under load. To check for updates in Lenovo Vantage, start by launching the Lenovo Vantage app and selecting the “Check for updates” button on the right-hand side of the homepage. To check for Windows Updates, start by launching the Settings app, then selecting the Windows Update tab on the left-hand side of the page, finally select the “Check for updates’ button located in the top right of the page. After these updates are installed, please restart your device to ensure all program files are properly.
Secondly, the Legion 7i comes with the ability to adjust the active performance profile based off your needs which will allow you to lower the sound of the fans. To start, launch the Legion Space app, below the CPU and GPU gauges on the homepage you can set the active profile by selecting the mode that is best for you. We suggest using "Quiet mode" which will lower the temperature of your laptop and reduce the fan noise of your device when playing heavier games. You can also toggle between profiles easily using the Fn+Q hotkey.

Great machine for the price

She says it's super fast and she has had no issues with the machine. It's got an amazing screen and everything loads super fast. Battery life has been good, but she's used to plugging in her old machine. Plus it was on sale, which gave us an amazing deal.

Handles school work very well. Good idea to get a smaller usb c charger for when you take it out, as the battery sucks on the wrong settings.

10/10 worth the price tag

Its slimmer than some of the acer or predator models but cooling is still exceptional! Oled screen is beautiful. Material is a robust type aluminum making it sturdy overall If you have anyone that's a hard-core gamer with all the flashiness too ,I'd recommend this. Price tag is steep but you definitely are getting quality with this gaming laptop.
