I finally have one that works perfectly fine, but I’m not sure why it would disappear. Luckily, the best buy team was a great help and helped me through everything.

As you may know, there are many variables that contribute to battery, and in gaming laptops that can increase even more due to their high-powered processors and graphics cards to keep up with the demands of various intensive workloads.
If you want to squeeze out more battery life and are completing non-intensive graphics tasks, you can utilize the MUX switch built into this model to turn off the dedicated GPU to greatly decrease power draw. This can be done in the Lenovo Vantage app > top right box > GPU working mode, then choosing your preferred method. You can also do this in the Legion Space app > Settings > GPU working mode.
You can also take advantage of the keyboard shortcut, Fn + Q to toggle thermal modes and easily switch between prioritizing battery life or power, or even the best of both words, along with custom settings configurable in Lenovo Vantage. Another tip is that you can press the Fn + R key combo to toggle to a lower refresh rate for even deeper power conservation.

Great Overall Laptop

Second, the display is just immaculate. I got an hp omen max with an rtx 5080 and this just performs so much better than that despite having a 5070 gpu. You would need to do some tweaking in legion space as the CPU temp limits are set to 103 by default. Bring that down and increase the GPU wattage and baam you now have a thin, light extremely good gaming laptop with pretty much all games running smooth like butter. Overall very happy with this purchase and that HP Omen Max is going to the returns list

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The laptop is fine, it is good for gaming, the quality of the materials is very good, the screen is perfect, the only thing that didn't seem right to me was the temperature that the processor and the battery reached. The processor reached almost 100 degrees when playing, while the battery when disconnected and watching a video or browsing the internet didn't last more than 4 hours with the brightness at 50% and the screen at 60hz, although it is normal for laptops with a dedicated graphics card, it didn't seem right to me.

To start, this LOQ is equipped with an active cooling system, along with other components and software, designed to enable the user to power through work without throttling due to heat produced. We recommend that the bottom of the device, where the air intake vents are, is clear of obstructions to increase air flow. Additionally, this LOQ features Smart Control, enabling the user to use the key command combination of Fn + Q to toggle between thermal/performance mode.
For instances where you may use the device in your lap or a situation where the intake vents may be obstructed, we recommend switching to cool or quiet mode to help with the heat felt on the bottom of the machine.
Also, please check for and apply any available updates through Lenovo Vantage and Windows Update Settings to help ensure you are using the latest software and drivers to ensure your system is running as efficiently as possible.

Firstly, we recommend running and installing all available drivers updates through Lenovo Vantage and Windows Update Settings, these updates are crucial to the device’s health and may address the audio drivers leading to improved sound quality. To check for updates within Lenovo Vantage begin by launching the application, then select the “Check for updates” button on the top of the right-hand of the display. To check for Windows Updates, start by launching the Settings app, then selecting the Windows Update tab on the left-hand side of the page, finally select the “Check for updates’ button located in the top right of the page.
We also suggest the Nahimic Audio app included with your Legion 7i. This app will allow you to tune your speakers based off the media you are consuming. We recommend Game mode which will use Spatial Audio to improve audio quality.

Worse experience ever
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had the absolute worst time with Best Buy in Citibank that I’ve ever had with any credit card company or store in my entire life. I have been trying to buy my laptop for my 15-year-old daughter before Christmas for the last three days I have been on the phone for four hours total in the last three days going back-and-forth between Best Buy and Citibank. I have been hung up on the phone over four times apiece on both companies and I’ve dealt with over 15 different people on each side. Citibank is telling me I have enough money on my card to make the purchase of the item. Best Buy is not letting the purchase go through and in the process of that no one is able to tell me why or why not and it is just been an absolute complete waste of my valuable time and it’s been a absolute horrible, stressful situation, especially right before Christmas trying to get this laptop for my baby girl. I am going to put this review out there which I never do to make sure that anyone out there that is dealing with Best Buy or Citibank pays off their credit card and cancels anything that they have right now with this company because it is the worst and I mean the absolute worst company I have ever dealt with in my entire life. Both Citibank and Best Buy should be ashamed of themselves of how pathetic they have treated me as a client and as a customer.
