Poor Battery Life

The issues with it is its battery not plugged in, with all power saving options it only gets 1 hour and 40 minute battery. And ofter times even lower. But other than that, it is a great gaming laptop, although the matte cover collects grease and moisture, these are the only problems I've had, other than that it is a great gaming laptop would recommend.

Regarding your note on battery life, as you may know there are lots of variables that contribute to battery and in gaming laptops that can increase even more due to their high-powered processors and graphics cards. If you want to squeeze out more battery life and are completing non-intensive graphics tasks, you can utilize the MUX switch built into this model to turn off the dedicated GPU to greatly decrease power draw. This can be done in the Lenovo Vantage app > top right box > GPU working mode, then choosing your preferred method. Users can also take advantage of the keyboard shortcut, Fn + Q to toggle thermal modes and easily switch between prioritizing battery life or power, or even the best of both words, along with custom settings configurable in Lenovo Vantage. You could also press the Fn + R key combo to toggle to a lower refresh rate for even greater power conservation.

The performance is excellent for gaming and productivity, and the 16-inch 2.5K display looks sharp and vibrant. The cooling system does a good job keeping temperatures under control during longer gaming sessions. Overall, a great value for a high-performance gaming laptop.

The Legion Pro 5 allows you to change the computer’s thermal mode. This will allow your device to cycle between higher performance, quiet, or automatically adjust based on your needs. To start, launch the Lenovo Space app, Under the CPU and GPU Performance gauges you will find the option to toggle performance profiles. We suggest using Quiet mode which will lower the temperature of your Legion 5i when under load and increase battery life. You can also toggle thermal modes simply with the Fn+Q hotkey.
The Legion 5i includes the option of controlling the “GPU Working Mode”. You can find this within Legion Space, just below the Thermal Profile modes from the previous step. This allows your device to switch between the integrated GPU and discrete GPU. By switching modes, you can enhance battery life through the Hybrid-iGPU Only Mode which will lower the power draw of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 graphics card or enhance performance with dGPU Mode which will enhance display performance.

Beautiful screen, powerful, plays every game I like at high settings. Easy to install upgrades and no matter what I do this laptop won’t get warm, let alone hot like some other laptops I’ve used (ASUS g14 & 16) and a few others. After gaming for hours laptop is cool and quiet. Best gaming laptop I’ve owned and I’ve owned quite a few. Battery life not spectacular but it’s as expected.

Problem 1, though doesnt bother me, is it leaves fingerprints. 2. fan noise. Got a cooling pad and it minimized the noise quite a bit. Overall, im glad i bought it.

A solid laptop!

Runs really smooth on most games, even more demanding ones like Baldur’s gate 3 (especially loaded with mods!) The only thing I will point out is the fans can get quite loud under load sometimes, but to be frank that’s a non-issue for me as someone who normally uses headphones. I’d definitely recommend it for anyone who is looking for a portable gaming option!

The performance is great, and the Ryzen 9 with the RTX 5060 handles games and daily tasks with no problem at all. The 2.5K screen looks awesome, very sharp and colorful, and the laptop feels solid and well built. I’m honestly very happy with it and feel like it’s a great quality laptop. Definitely a purchase I’m happy with.

Rgb keyboard is a fun feature, especially the sound-reactive setting. I love that there are no ports at the back of the laptop, to prevent certain overheating issues. Biggest downside for me is that finger smudging is pretty bad, especially as someone who uses hand lotion pretty often, it leaves bad oil smudges on pretty much every surface. Otherwise pretty good gaming laptop for the price point.

Not a good option!

Another thing is the laptop is very heavy and I think it's not worth the price!

The battery life doesn't last as long as I would like but that is expected with any good gaming laptop
