A: Hey Griffith, Officially, the Legion Pro 5 is tested to support up to 1TB in each storage slot. The storage capacity supported is based on the test results with current Lenovo storage offerings. With that being said, theoretically, the system's open M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 x4 slot should accommodate whatever M.2 storage option you prefer given that it fits within the boundaries of the slot (i.e., an SSD with larger heatsinks may be too large for the slot). Please feel free to reach out to us with any other questions!
A: Hi there, The memory is not soldered, and the system storage can be expanded. This Legion Pro 5 comes with 1x 16GB SO-DIMM DDR5-5200 memory module and it supports up to 32GB DDR5-5200 (max memory is based on the test results with current Lenovo memory offerings), but the chipset may support up to 64GB DDR5. Also, the Legion Pro 5 features two M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 x4 storage slots to expand storage, which leaves you one open storage slot right out of the box since this system comes with a 1TB SSD preinstalled. Runs even faster than I thought, fans are not very loud. Screen and refresh rate are great. Can run heavy Minecraft shaders and intensive texture packs at a consistent 110+ frames. It can run CS2 at a solid 90 at 1440p. Better than my desktop and wasn’t even expecting that. Battery life is short but wasn’t expecting it to be long, nor do I play without plugging it in and I’m not factoring it into my rating.

Very happy with this machine. I added an additional 16GB of DDR5 (before prices went crazy) and a 2nd NVME SSD for gaming. So far for all the games I play this does a great job. Well built, bright screen, nice keyboard with numpad. Fast CPU and the NVIDIA 5060 really helps gaming performance. I've never had a screen with this high of a refresh before, but it sure seems smooth. Be sure to enable it in Windows 11, by default its stuck at 60hz instead of 240hz. The battery life isn't that great, but this isn't really a productivity machine. It's not bad, but if you really want crazy battery life buy a mac I guess.

I’m extremely happy with my Lenovo Legion Pro 5. The keyboard feels incredible — super comfortable, responsive, and perfect for long work sessions. The screen is on another level; the clarity and brightness make everything look stunning, and it’s been amazing for my AI projects. Performance-wise, it handles all my AI tools smoothly and efficiently. It absolutely meets the expectations I had for a powerful workstation. In the future, I plan to upgrade the RAM to 32GB to push it even further, but even with the current configuration, it works wonderfully. Overall, I’m very grateful and truly satisfied with my purchase. Totally recommended
