Q: What's the difference between this Legion Pro 5i and the Legion 7i? both have a rtx 5070
A: Hey Ricardo, When comparing the Legion Pro 5i and Legion 7i, there's a few things to consider. First, the Legion Pro series is designed to deliver heightened performance over a slimmer design profile due to the systems having a higher wattage TDP and a larger cooling area to compensate for this. The Legion 7i series is designed for more mobile focused users with an elevated design, featuring an aluminum chassis, a thinner profile and is more lightweight (almost a pound less) compared to the Pro 5i, yet it still packs a punch. Also, the Legion 7i features an SD card reader, a camera with IR to support facial recognition for biometric login, a slightly larger internal battery, per-key RGB, and a higher refresh rate display at 240Hz. Hopefully this addresses everything you wanted to know, and please feel free to reach out to us with any other questions!
A: Hey, The included power adapter supports 100-240V. You will need a wall/plug adapter as the included cable is designed for North America use. Please feel free to reach out to us with any other questions!
Q: Does this laptop allow you to upgrade the RAM? I see it has 2 RAM slots
A: Hey JoeysaurusRexx, Yes, the system's two DDR5 SO-DIMM slots can be used for memory expansion. Although, to note, the maximum memory supported for this model is 32GB, which is based on the test results with current Lenovo memory offerings. This means that while users may have successfully upgraded their memory to 64GB and that the processor and chipset may handle higher than 32GB of memory, this has not been tested by Lenovo. Please feel free to reach out to us with any other questions!
Q: How much Vram for this RTX5070?
A: Hey Terry, The system's 5070 features 8GB of graphics memory available by default, but this can be configured to be increased. Please feel free to reach out to us with any other questions!
A: It has two slots with 12 GB in each, for a total of 32 GB and is expandable to up to 64 GB.
Q: Does this laptop support nvidia g-sync and/or amd freesync?
A: Hey acidblue, This Legion Pro 5i's OLED display supports G-SYNC. Please feel free to reach out to us with any other questions!
Q: How much can I expand the DDR5 RAM on it? Another question, what brand of RAM stick is used
A: Expandable up to 64 GB. It comes with a Samsung brand, but I think it can be added from another brand as long as it corresponds to the same numbering or memory speed.

This laptop works exceptionally! The temps are amazing with minimal tweaking to the laptop while providing peak performance and the screen is gorgeous. Overall, this laptop is great. Too bad Best Buy didn't want to offer me any special offers just because I bought the open box. I would have loved Battlefield 6 and Borderlands.

This is the best mid range desktop replacer laptop you can get. Lenovo might be the only company that actually creates functional and useful bloatware, to the point that it’s hard to call the Lenovo Vsntage app bloatware. 1. If you are buying this to game and you can afford a monitor then here’s my take: BUY A DESKTOP lol. Laptops will never be capable of even approaching tower (desktop) capabilities, purely because of the power and thermal limitations. Doesn’t matter if you have the best GPU. Say an RTX 5090, if you’re spend that much money on a laptop… why? Just buy a desktop, you can’t run your laptop on battery while gaming for longer than 1-2 hours. The RTX 5070 on a desktop ALONE probably draws more or as much power as an entire laptop (150w—250w), that’s JUST for the GPU. More power capacity = more performance. Plus desktops cooling systems are 100x more effective. You laptop is typical soldered for everything except the ram and SSD so no meaningful upgrades can be done. A desktop is ostensibly future proof because you can easily swap any part out for the new tech. 2) Buy this for DEV work + whatever + option to game. This laptop can run full scale miniature LLM’s locally, especially if you quantize down to INT8 or lower, without breaking a sweat. You can have 10 docker containers running, and full VM, 100 browser tabs lol, and your IDE open and this thing won’t even go above 50% CPU/GPU capacity (depends what your running in those containers obviously).
