I love this laptop. It runs everything well enough for me. Obviously it runs better when it's plugged in and it can get pretty hot but it hasn't overheated for me yet. The fans can get pretty loud too but I just turn up the game volume or wear headphones if it's annoying. One example for fps: I've been playing Crimson Desert on it and I lowered the resolution slightly because it's barely noticeable on this screen size and it helps a lot with fps, with ultra settings I've been getting 65 - 75fps. The OLED screen is beautiful as well and completely worth any extra cost there might be. The battery life is great for light gaming and watching videos. I probably missed a lot of talking points but overall I love this laptop and I don't regret my decision to buy this one at all.

The laptop is good overall. I'll start with the positives before getting into the downsides. The biggest strengths are the components. The RTX 5070 Laptop GPU and Intel Core Ultra 9 are very powerful and can handle virtually any modern game at normal settings. You may have to make some compromises at max settings and 1600p in the most demanding titles, but gaming performance is still outstanding. I've primarily used this laptop for gaming so far, and it has exceeded my expectations. I also plan to try 3D art in the future, although I can't yet speak on how it performs under heavy professional workloads. The 16-inch 1600p 240Hz OLED display is phenomenal. The perfect blacks, vibrant colors, and smooth refresh rate make everything look fantastic. It's genuinely one of the highlights of the laptop. Another major advantage is portability. Despite its powerful hardware and larger screen, it's surprisingly lightweight and easy to carry around. Throughout high school, I used a school laptop that weighed around four pounds and simply got the job done. This laptop weighs about the same while being significantly larger and better in virtually every aspect. I also really like the design and build quality. The rear LED lighting, color scheme, and materials give it a premium feel. It hits a nice middle ground in the lineup—more powerful than the lower-end models without reaching the extremely high prices of the 5080 or 5090 versions. As for the negatives, I've seen complaints about heat, fan noise, the lack of a numeric keypad, and the RAM configuration. Personally, I don't miss having a numeric keypad, but whether that's a drawback depends entirely on your needs. The lack of upgradeable RAM is definitely disappointing. In an era where 32GB is increasingly becoming the ideal amount for many users, being limited to soldered memory feels like a poor design choice. While 16GB is still sufficient for gaming and everyday use, future applications and games will only become more demanding, so the inability to upgrade hurts the laptop's long-term value. Regarding thermals and fan noise, I don't think the heat is nearly as bad as some people claim. The laptop does develop noticeable hot spots under heavy loads, but the palm rest area remains comfortable during use, at least in my experience. If you're particularly sensitive to heat, though, this may not be the laptop for you. Thin, lightweight, premium laptops inevitably involve trade-offs, and one of those trade-offs is increased heat and fan noise compared to thicker machines. The fans are noticeable, but I don't find them excessively loud, especially when using Performance mode. Turbo mode is noticeably louder, however. One issue I did experience is that after about six to seven months, the left speaker developed problems. It hasn't completely failed, but it cuts out or distorts at higher volumes. I'm not sure how common this issue is among these laptops, but it's worth mentioning. It's definitely disappointing considering the price and premium positioning of the device. Overall, this laptop isn't perfect, but it's very good. I really like it, and it has been one of the better purchases I've made. It has also raised my standards for what I expect from a laptop. If you're considering buying one, I'd absolutely recommend it, as long as you're willing to accept the compromises that come with a thin, lightweight gaming laptop. Ultimately, if you've found competing models that appeal to you more, it's up to you to weigh the pros and cons and decide which trade-offs matter most.

The first thing that stands out is the build quality. The aluminum chassis feels incredibly premium, and it’s surprisingly thin and lightweight for a laptop with this level of performance. It looks professional enough for work or school but has all the power you’d expect from a high-end gaming machine. The OLED display is absolutely stunning. Colors are vibrant, blacks are truly deep, and the 240Hz refresh rate makes everything feel incredibly smooth, whether I’m gaming, watching movies, or just browsing. It’s one of the best laptop screens I’ve ever used. Performance has been outstanding. Games run smoothly with excellent frame rates, and multitasking is effortless. I also use it for productivity, photo editing, and other demanding applications, and it handles everything without slowing down. The keyboard is comfortable for long typing sessions, the trackpad is large and responsive, and the speakers are surprisingly good with rich, clear sound. Battery life is also better than I expected for a powerful gaming laptop, especially during everyday tasks. The cooling system deserves credit as well. Under heavy gaming it does get warm, which is expected, but it maintains excellent performance without excessive throttling. If I had to mention one small downside, it’s that the fans become noticeable during demanding games, but that’s a very reasonable tradeoff considering the amount of performance packed into such a slim chassis. Overall, the Zephyrus G16 is one of the most complete laptops I’ve ever owned. It delivers flagship gaming performance while remaining portable, elegant, and versatile enough for everyday use. Whether you’re a gamer, creator, student, or professional, I highly recommend it. It’s an investment that’s absolutely worth it.

Finally found the perfect hybrid! I needed something light enough for my daily commute but powerful enough to run Cyberpunk on high settings, and this hits the spot. It weighs next to nothing in my backpack, yet the build quality feels premium and sturdy. The OLED screen is stunning for both design work and gaming. It does get a bit warm under heavy load, but considering the insane performance-to-size ratio, it’s a beast. Best tech investment I've made this year!
