Other than the fact that it gets hot, this computer is great. (I bought a cooling pad with an external power source to cure the problem.) The computer is fast, has a large SSD drive and will plan any game I has tried to play with it. I would recommend this computer to others.

Performs as expected. Fast with good graphics.
Camera is on bottom of display screen which seems strange. Would also like to have a lighted keyboard but those are not that important.

I've had this LEGION laptop exactly one month ago and so far have had no complaints. I'd had my previous laptop (an ASUS) for about 4 years and had very high expectations for what this laptop could offer - I wanted it to have strong graphics capabilities so I could use it to run games like Minecraft (modded) and Overwatch while at the same time allowing me to use it for other programs. Both of these requirements have been met in full.
In the month that I've had this laptop, I've taken a flight to and from Texas, so I know it travels well despite its larger size. The fans run a bit loud when playing games that require high performance, but the computer offers an in-laptop control panel where that fan volume and speed can be adjusted based on need. The boot up time is spectacular, and the amount of USB ports has allowed me to have just enough to plug in my mouse, my microphone and my phone charger when livestreaming.
I did need to purchase a wireless mouse to make the best use of this laptop - since there is only one USB port on each side of the laptop other than the front, I had a hard time making a wired mouse work with my setup. Even though it was about time I made this shift, I figure I'll mention it here for those who are hardcore gamers and like their wired mice - you might want to get a USB splitter to make sure you have enough ports to hook up all your equipment.

The picture clarity is great! The large screen makes it easy for me to view without my glasses. The only negative comment I have is the location of the camera. It is too low . I wish it was at the top of screen area rather than below..Otherwise I am extremely pleased with it.

This computer is very fast and worth the money. I have tried several laptops in recent years and this one is excellent. The large screen is easy to read. The 1 TB hard drive is solid state and very fast. No moving parts in this computer. I use a USB DVD drive. 3 USB 3.0 ports allow me to easily connect my devices. It has a webcam which has a security cover, so I can close the cover for maximum security. My only complaint is that the keyboard is not backlit.

When shopping for a "business" laptop, I noticed a trend. "Business" laptops tended to be more expensive than "gaming" laptops. Even though they had the same, if not worse, specs. I saw a Lenovo business laptop with the same i7, same ram, rame GPU, but only 500 tb SSD and it was selling for $500 more than this pc. I'm guessing some businesses won't purchase "gaming" laptops for employees so they're able to price them accordingly. Absolute monster of a machine here for the money and can do everything I need as a computer major in college. Plus I can snag a quick game in during break on campus.

This is the first gaming laptop I have ever owned so my opinion may be less informed than that of laptop gurus, but I am happy with this laptop. I have not gotten into everything about it yet. I love how fast it moves and the light up keyboard is super when it is evening time and everyone wants to sleep or watch movies, I can still see the keys. I have not had any lag issues or other problems with this laptop. I would buy it again.

over all nice unit, but the battery is built in , the pitch paper for the device said, powerful 3 cell battery. Okay. turns out it has a little less than 5 hours of power, and the adapter you have to carry with you is 5 x 8 inches and 1 inch thick ,and heavy.
unit is fast and quiet, good graphics, decent speakers.
Boots up in 1 or 2 seconds.
if it was not for the misinformation on the battery i would give 5 stars

I got this for running Davinci Resolve and Adobe Premiere Pro on the go for my video business. It keeps up with the 4k footage, graphics, color grading, and fast rendering abilities of my desktop. Battery life is something you sacrifice for having that much horsepower, so I always have to have an outlet if i'm working, but I can get a lot of lower power work done on the plane if the flight is short. The antiglare screen is huge and beautiful!

This fits all of my gaming needs. My only complaint is how hot this thing gets, the fans are always blazing and I bought a cooling fan pad to help as well. This thing emits so much heat. Idk if I will keep it. As far as gaming going, I play world of Warcraft and can run it on max settings. No lag.

Like the screamin' fast 1 TB solid-state drive and the 144 Ghz monitor but find the keyboard keys *distressingly* flat. Potential purchasers should also be warned it is NOT a touchscreen. Those things aside, I am really enjoying this laptop. Unlike my old one, it has sufficient hardware to run PhotoShop and other graphic design programs. I have yet to use it for gaming but expect to find it adequate to the task. I've read complaints about the positioning of its webcam, but since I don't use one, it wasn't a concern. Overall, this is a very good laptop for the price.

This is the next best thing if I can't game on my desktop. It will run all your AAA games at 60+ FPS. Purchased for $1349 originally and 3 weeks later it went on sale for $1199. I was able to get $150 match, so that was a bonus. At $1349, it is hard to find anything out there at that price with these specs. At $1199, it is a black Friday find.
BTW, this is one of the cooler running gaming laptop. I under volted the CPU with no performance loss and it ran 10 degree Celsius cooler than stock.

This is my first computer with an SSd and I must say it lives up to its billing. Crazy fast.
One nit pic is I wish I could reverse the function keys. to hit the end key i have to hit control end. same with page up/ down home, etc.
I googled it and you should be able to change this in the bios, but that option was not available.

I was looking for a high end/gaming/graphics/schoolwork laptop. My requirements were: 17" monitor (bonus that it can do 144Hz) 16 GB ram, 1 TB installed SSD, a decent dedicated gaming/graphics card, and a budget of about $1000. I had a 2.5 1TB SATA SSD from my older laptop that I wanted to put into it as a fast storage drive, so it had to have an internal SATA port. This laptop has it.
Technically this model came out in summer of 2019, so it is not the absolute latest and greatest, but it is damned good. It has a 9th Gen i7-9750 (not 10th Gen, but I had my price point), GeForce GTX 1660 Ti (best graphics in my price range as I cold not get an RTX 2080 even close, especially compared to the average 1650), 1 TB M.2 NVme SSD (getting 1800 MB/s, not 2800 MB/s but still faster than what I was used to with my 550 MB SATA). And it runs Flight simulator *and* Second life and Satisfactory, both in Ultra, at the same time, connected to two external monitors (HDMI and mini-HDMI) without any problems. The noise from the fans is inevitable, but there is a quiet mode that keeps the din down. To save a few hundred dollars, I got this as an open box, so my net cost was just over $1000, not the $1400 list. I had no problems with it being open box, except the computer was registered for 7-8 months earlier, so I "only" get 4 months of standard warranty, but I can deal with that. I have been stress testing it with as much as I can imagine and had no issues at all.
The only other upgrade I did was to upgrade to 32GB of RAM (MS Flight Simulator 2020 is a memory HOG that takes 18 Gigs of RAM) which lets me run anything I can imagine, including many multiple VirtualBox VMs for my schoolwork. I have 4 USB external HDs attached (total of 16TB) plus an older 1 TB SSD from an older laptop I put into a USB enclosure. USB headset, Apple and Android charging cables, three USB 3.0 hubs to help with of these connections, and a USB C in the back with extra anything else I might need.
In other words, it is a good value with a lot of capability if you are not looking for a 2080. And for many games, a 1660 Ti can give PLENTY of graphics/gaming performance unless you have more money to burn.
