Love this laptop. Could be a bit faster, but for the price can’t beat it. Recommend buying a mouse pad and mini-wireless mouse for travel. Great starter laptop. Comfortable keyboard. Don’t care too much for the touchpad though as the screen resizes when I don’t want it to. That’s why a mouse is a good investment.

I was very happy to have purchased a new laptop for my son so he can do his work on but as soon as I powered it on and noticed how slow it was, very disappointed. It is 2020 and I didnt think they still made computers slower than the one I had when I was a teen in the year 2000. I am just surprised how a tablet at the same price point is a lot faster and on point than a whole laptop. I only gave it 2 stars because it was cheap or else nothing of this laptop amazes me. It is for my 6yr old so I can't complain but still its slower than turtles.

I purchased this laptop in a hurry for my kids to do schoolwork at home when schools were closed. Although the appearance is very nice and it is lightweight, this laptop is very slow. It takes forever to start up. When clicking on a link the next page takes forever to load. I have great internet service that is very fast and never have issues with so I know that isn't the issue. I'll be using this laptop only until I could get a better one. Hopefully by then stores will be open and I'll be able to speak with someone about what I'm purchasing.

The Lenovo IdeaPad S145-15 laptop, model number 81N3009BUS, will boot from off to the Windows 10 Desktop in less than 40-seconds. This model ships with 5G, 802.11AC frequency WiFi, which is up to 3X faster than standard 802.11N WiFi. This model ships with Windows 10 S-Mode Operating System. Windows 10 S-Mode provides added security by only allowing APPs available ( and therefore certified by Microsoft) at the Microsoft Store. If you don't need the added security or you need to install APPs not available at the Microsoft Store, you can switch to standard Windows 10 Home 64-bit Operating System, at no additional cost. If you are getting slower than expected performance, be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programming errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. If the problem persists, we recommend you contact Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686. Lenovo

At home I use a desk top but take a laptop when I travel. I didn't need anything fancy with bells & whistles so when I saw this model it fit the bill. It is a good size, light in weight and does everything that I needed from a secondary computer. The price was excellent. I would definitely recommend this model.

I bought this computer for my mother. She just needed a basic computer for regular office tasks. And that’s exactly what this computer does...Basic stuff. It gets the job done. But like most of these level computers now they come with that annoying S mode. My mom needed to use her printer and it was a complete hassle and I had to remove S mode. Other than that no complaints.

First laptop I bought was through a program where you can buy, a refurbished laptop or computer, not through best buy, through a cable company. They send you whatever they have available, I ended up with a Lenovo. That was a terrible laptop, super slow, didn't respond at all. This time around I decided I will buy me a new laptop, again I know nothing about them, but a friend "researched" some and suggested I get this Lenovo, because of the price and it would do what I needed it to do. I was basically looking for something for streaming and checking emails. Although I had the bad experience with the first Lenovo, I just thought the laptop was slow or faulty because it was refurbished. Turns out, no this brand is just worthless. My son and nephew both had laptop from their schools, so that they could do their work during the pandemic. Their little dinky chromebooks by far did better then this Lenovo. No buffering and they handled streaming well. This Lenovo, took 30 mins just to open an email to retrieve and share a photo. Needless to say streaming was impossible. It got to the point to were no one even wanted to use it because it was such a hassle. Don't waste your time and money, don't buy this Lenovo.

I specifically wanted an affordable laptop, easy to use, and primarily for online education. Not, only is it great for classes using Apps like Zoom, but it has a tremendous amount of memory (1TB HD) and is more than enough for what I need it to do. Very pleased, considering purchasing one for my husband.

The charge was bent out of the box, but seemed to straighten. Since I was desperate to use the device for my son to do his schoolwork and due to COVID-19 fears could not return to Best Buy, I tried using it. This only lasted till the laptop actually died. Checking why the charger was bent showed that the pins were bent, and they then fell out. The machine while charged worked well though a little slow. The charger itself was unusual for a Lenovo and I'm not sure if this was the original charger meant for the device since it was openbox.
