All Around Clock
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had purchased the Lenovo Smart Clock 2 with Wireless Charging Dock (Heather Gray) as a Christmas (2021) gift for myself. Overall, the smart clock is good but it does have its drawbacks which are listed below, 1) Portable speaker isn't battery operated 2) Limited smart clock functionality

volume issue
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Idea is great. Problem is I like to listen to the radio at night when going to bed and there is no in between volume. Either it is to low to hear or the next level up is to loud to sleep with it on. I purchased a second one and it does the same thing. If they would fix the volume issue I would give it 5 stars.

Just Smart Enough
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nice bedside clock with just enough smart features. Charging pad seems a bit slippery and phone will move sometimes so no charging.

Posted .Thank you for choosing the Lenovo Smart Clock 2 with Wireless Charging Dock. There is a magnet within the wireless charging dock, under the plus sign on the charging area, that will hold a compatible device in place, when positioned properly for wireless charging. Look for the charging indicator on the device being charged for confirmation that the device is properly aligned. The Smart Clock 2 nightlight will also flash when the compatible device is charging properly.

Great clock, not-so-great wireless charger
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just okay. I love the smart clock but the main reason I bought it was for the integrated wireless charger. I need to place my phone on the charger in the perfect position or else it won’t charge. It takes a while to find the correct placement to where it will start charging. I have used other wireless chargers that are not this picky. I have an iPhone 13 for reference. Also, the USB port on the back didn’t work for me.

So so
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There are several things I like about the close, having a USB to charge something is one, having the weather show is another. However, when I turn my lamp off and it gets dark, the time on the clock gets so light that it is impossible for me to see the time. The bottom of it also occasionally glows for apparently no reason, at least I can't figure out who. Not sure I would buy it again.

Furniture that talks back
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Here I am using a older type of streaming radio device and the software update makes it suck totally. So I was happy to find this gem, as it already have a Google Home with devices scattered throughout the house. So with that being said, lets dive into the key features of my opinion on this. Good: Small ( I mean about half the size I was expecting) even with optional QI charging base. Very good sound. I can hear all the music, voices, and such extremely clear when it counts. Grey color that blends in nicely on my night stand and does not seem out of place. Volume adjustment on top of device, making it easy to adjust when your half awake. Multiple clock faces and colors to suit you fashion forward lifestyle. Plays my Pandora with not issues or lag. Mute Mic button, so you can talk when you want and how you want without Google butting in (you know what I mean.. don't you) Works great with existing Home devices and lighting. Just say the magic word and you are fully lit or have a chat with your alarm clock. Mute/Snooze your alarm with a tap on the top of the clock. Although depending on your mood in the morning you might hit it a little harder that necessary. Bad: Does not show any of my channels on the Pandora screen. I mean it will play something I ask for, but will not show my preferred ones on the display. Alarms and notification tones need to be separate, as you will rock on at night and then scare you to death in the morning when you forget to lower the volume. No battery, so if the power goes out it will not show the time. a simple , small one would be a game changer on this and more reliable. Ugly: Wish you could cast to it or have it show programs. since it is a screen lets watch some anime on this sucker. Does not always hear your commands and then you have to raise your voice. So it is like talking to a toddler sometimes. Requires a Google Home app to even be used really. What happens if I just wanted a alarm radio that was not all up in my biz? So there you have it. My take on this unit and how I liked it. I will look for more in the future and get them as gifts, as I know my family would love these for their homes.

Not able to make Google voice calls or receive
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was told you could make calls with this but you can not. It says its not able to make calls. So i will return and get another Google speaker. Third-party non-Google devices are not able to make calls. This is the 2nd non-Google clock that I purchased and can not make a call. I tried to charge my Apple watch and it did not charge that either.

Hey Google, what’s a good smart clock? THIS ONE
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Out of the box, you get the smart clock, the wireless charging dock, and the plug. Set up is easy, using the Google Home app with a Google account. It walks you through the short process of connecting it to your home WiFi and customizing any and all of the features. The smart clock itself has a really nice 4-inch color touchscreen, which is a perfect size for a bedroom nightstand location. The surrounding material of the smart clock is a nice light grey “speaker” cloth-type material. There are physical volume up and down buttons, as well as a physical mute button (to turn the microphone off and on). The speaker is surprisingly loud for such a little thing—it certainly packs a punch; it has a good soft/loud range and sounds clear. There is a convenient night light that glows around the bottom perimeter of the smart clock, which you can turn on or off, and set to a timer to turn off within a specified number of minutes. You can control the brightness of this night light as well. The smart clock can be used on its own without the wireless charging dock, or it can be placed on it, and you charge your phone wirelessly on the other side of the dock. I’ve been charging my iPhone (12 Pro Max) on it nightly. I use a pretty thick (2 layer) Otterbox case on my iPhone and it can charge through it—it activates the MagSafe charging circle; however, sometimes it does takes a few tries before getting it exactly right where it will be properly charging. That’s probably the only slight negative issue I have with this product. It does have a USB port on the back as well, that you can use to charge other products. I have extensive experience with using Google, Amazon (Alexa) and Apple (Siri) AI smart products and assistants and Google is pretty much the best of the three. That makes this product a pretty useful bedside companion (or anywhere else in the house such as the kitchen). You can use it to check the weather, traffic, listen to the news, music, etc., of course as an alarm clock, and much more. You can choose from different clock faces, pictures, wallpapers, etc. and really customize the appearance. I chose a digital clock that shows the current time, weather, and temperature, and if an alarm is set. The brightness of the display can be set to different levels, or set to change with the level of brightness it senses in the room (via an “automatic brightness” ambient light sensor). I set mine to automatic brightness so that it automatically dims down at night when I turn off the lights, and brightens back up in the morning when I open my bedroom curtains and/or turn on my bedside lamp or other lights. I also use it to control various lights around my home, so I can turn lights throughout my house on or off right from my bedside. I can also use it to quickly communicate to others in my house via the Broadcast feature (to others who also have Google Assistant powered products). All in all, it’s a really fun, neat, and useful product.

Did Not Connect
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Can't honestly give an honest review of the product since it never connected to my home internet and wasn't able to find it. All my other actual Google devices connected perfectly fine. But, Since everything else connected and worked. I guess I'll just have to give this device a 1 Star.

Great clock, but it could be more...
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have mixed emotions about this clock. First and foremost, it is a smart clock and functions as such very well. It was incredibly easy to set up--especially if you already have Google Home devices. It is easy to talk to and should you need to interact with the touch screen, the controls are simple. What it is not is a full-featured Google Nest/Hub-type device. It doesn't have a camera--probably a good thing since it is often placed in a bedroom. But you can throw your typical "Hey Google, what is the weather going to be like tomorrow" commands at it. The clock is very good at sensing light/dark and auto-adjusts brightness. I am still getting used to touching the screen the right way for "alarm off" vs. "snooze" (snooze is customizable, by the way) and given I am virtually blind w/o my contacts or glasses on, that has been a struggle in week one but I will adapt. The charger feature is very nice, but I am not much of a phone in the bedroom kind of person. That being said, given my mobile is now my only phone I probably should keep it by my bedside charging. The base also has a USB input for non-wireless charging. Where I think Lenovo missed the boat is the lack of an internal, rechargeable or replaceable battery in the event of an overnight power outage. I actually lost power briefly in my first night of use, but it came back on before the alarm was to go off so no worries--that night. Lastly, and it might be because I am new to all the features of this clock, it does NOT appear that I can say "Hey Google, set an alarm for 6:00a tomorrow and play <insert song here> as my alarm tone." I do kind of miss waking to music with my 20+yr old radio alarm clock that finally bit the dust when the Lenovo clock arrived. Overall, as a smart clock it is a wonderful device. A few tweaks (i.e. battery backup for piece of mind) and it could be stellar.

Posted .Thank you for choosing the Lenovo Smart Clock 2. If WiFi goes out, any pre-set alarms that you have created will still function as scheduled. The smart clock does need to have power at all times to function. You can use the Hey Google alert and set an alarm to use your Spotify or Pandora music selections as your alarm. Or choose your favorite radio station as your alarm by using a streaming APP like I Heart Radio.

Fun and convenient
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the voice commands. Even my wife who doesn't like technology updates finds it very convenient and fun. I hooked up to bedroom and living room lights. My wife loves to turn lights on/off by just using her voice.
