I have the previous model and love it so I bought this for my son.

Not long ago I purchased a Levovo Smart Clock (prior to this Clock 2 version) for our family room, and both the original purchase and this one appear to have similar workings. The clock 2 is slightly larger, and akin to the earlier model has a touch screen. The outer skin of the Smart Clock 2 is fabric and reminds me of the phone cases Google sells for their Pixel phones. I didn’t prefer Google’s fabric phone case because it felt slippery in my hands, while the fabric on this clock is pretty nice. The Smart Clock 2 comes with the Clock, a charging base, and a charger. The Clock 2 does a great job of dimming itself during the evening/night, as it senses the amount of light in the room and adjusts automatically. We had a concern that at its dimmest it would shine like a beacon in the night, but it does a great job of dimming – even though you can still easily read the clock from across the room. Setting an alarm on the clock is simple. Pull down from the top of the screen and a menu appears allowing you to set your alarms. I’m not positive if there is a limit on how many alarms you can preconfigure, but I have three and they all work fine. When the alarm goes off, on-screen buttons appear allowing you to 1) turn off the alarm or 2) snooze it. Or you can snooze it by rapping the top of the clock with your hand. If you have a scheduled alarm coming up, rapping the top of the clock gives you the opportunity to cancel the alarm. This clock has a night light feature that allows you to configure how long you would like the night light to stay on when activated and at what brightness. Or you can just lift up the front of the clock off the base which causes the night light to illuminate for a couple of seconds. One thing that distinguishes the Smart Clock 2 from the earlier Smart Clock version is its charging base – which extends to one side of the clock by several inches. Lay your Qi compatible device on the charging base and it will charge your device. It seamlessly charged my Bose QC earbuds case and an older Pixel 3XL phone, as well as my wife’s iPhone. It would not, however, Qi charge my Samsung S20 Ultra. It looks like the S20 Ultra needs a 15-watt Qi charger, while the Lenovo Smart Clock supports 5, 7.5, and 10 watts. While the clock supports Fast Charging, apparently that’s not ample to charge my Samsung phone either. When you place a Qi compatible device on the base, the base illuminates for a few seconds to let you know that you’ve placed the device properly on the charging base. The charging base, by the way, sports a USB-A port on its back allowing you to charge a secondary device using an appropriate USB cable. Both the USB-A port and the Qi charger can be used concurrently. The Smart Clock 2 also has Google Assistant (GA) built in, so you can issue GA commands directly to the clock. For instance, since I have a Smart Garage Door controller and a Smart Door Lock, I can ask GA to check if the garage is open or if the front door is locked. I believe GA supports over 5,000 smart devices, so it is powerful. You can also set up a routine in Google Home and have GA (via the Smart Clock 2) execute the routine. For example, imagine setting up a Bed Time routine in Google Home that locks the doors and turns off the lights. Or a Wake Up routine that tells you the current time, weather, and traffic conditions to work. On the back of the clock is a Mute switch if you want to disable it from making any sounds. From a connectivity perspective, the Smart Clock 2 supports 802.11 a/b/g/n at 2.4GHz and Bluetooth 4.2. After using the Lenovo Smart Clock 2 for a while, it is everything I wanted for my bed-side stand. I am disappointed that its charging base won’t charge my S20 Ultra phone, but it appears compatible with other Qi devices I have at home. I think this is a nicely thought-out product that deserves 5 stars.

Buyer beware!!! While this is a great concept and works well once it is set up if anything goes wrong with it you are stuck. My sons cat chewed the cord and I went online to Lenovo’s website and they don’t even sell replacement parts for it. So we can’t get a new cord so now we have a Isley $89.00 clock.
