Having the clock and temp info is really a step up from a normal voice assistant, but doesn't have the complexity of a screen based assistant (basically it is a modern day smart clock radio). The sound is also very impressive from such a small device.

The setup itself was easy and works with my Sony TV with Google assistant built in. The display is clean, simple, and nice to be able to glance at the time, weather, and more at a quick glance. Great clock, low price!!!! Love it!!

After every few days, three the most, I must un-plug and re-plug the power to reconnect the wifi. I've tried to search for solution, but none existed.

This is an all you need bedside alarm clock and glad I made the purchase.

And if I have any questions about temperature or the weather.etc. I can ask Google I already had one in my bedroom and thought it would be a nice touch to my LR.

I don't think I can go back to a regular clock again. It displays mostly everything I need to start my day and it even reads you the news! I look forward to adding more in each room if a new model comes out.

Great, Easy-to-Read Alarm Clock, but not Mic.

I love the display as it is not too bright at night and easy to read. I also really like how the temperature reading is large enough to read from across the room. I like the display better than the more expense Lenovo smart clock. The downsides...I do not like how the extra digit ("0") precedes hours 1 through 9 as shown in the picture. It is just unnecessary. Also, the microphone is not that great. I felt like I had to yell to get it to recognize me saying "Hey Google." I had my other clock plugged up and farther away when I said, "Hey Google", and this clock did nothing, while the higher end Lenovo smart clock recognized me. I ended up returning it for that reason.

If your Smart Clock is having trouble picking up your voice we recommend changing the mic sensitivity by opening your Google Home App on your Smart Phone or Tablet -> Select Smart Clock -> "Settings" -> "Hey Google Sensitivity". We also recommend setting up Voice Match on your Smart Clock Essential so that Google can be sure it's you speaking and understand you better. If you have audio playing we recommend turning on "Lower Volume when Listening" So you and your Assistant can hear you speak more clearly when audio is playing. If you need further assistance please don't hesitate to reach out to Lenovo Tech Support at 866-426-0911

Now we get updates on all kind of facts and invitations to dance parties. Of course the other kid wants one too! I can only envision future hey google battles between the two devices. Much more compact but feature rich unit. I want one too! Setup was easy.
