But setting this up without an app or easy to use touch screen made this clock very difficult to use. There are better options out there some at the same price point more at a higher price point. However I would splurge and step up to something higher. This has potential but unfortunately being forced to use buttons with a very limited screen makes it difficult to get use to.

You can fine tune the audio by opening the Google Home app on your Smart Phone or Tablet--> Selecting the Smart Clock Essential, and then selecting the three bars with a line through them at the top of the screen. This will open an "Equalizer" and allow you to adjust the base and treble of the speaker to your prefertence.
