Good smart alarm clock

Some drawbacks: Light doesn't dim as much as I like Alarm tone is not changeable No battery backup Light night is almost impossible to use Speakers isn't as good as a nest mini Setting up alarm via buttons is not intuitive, have to reference manual every time. If you can put up with the above, it's the perfect replacement for bedside alarm clock. I replaced both my alarm clock and nest mini that was next to my bed with this.

If you grow tired of the stock alarm sound you can set a music alarm to wake up to your favorite artist, station, news, podcast, or radio. Just say "Okay Google Set a Music Alarm" to get started. The nightlight can be turned off and on in one of two ways. First with the voice command, "Okay Google nightlight on/off". The second way is to press and hold the volume - button on top of the device for 3 seconds. No need to worry, in the event of a brief power outage, your set alarm information will be retained and the clock will atomically reset itself to the correct time when power is restored. Lenovo Smart Clock Essential - Soft Touch

It has a number of features that I am not using as I was really wanting just a clock. The instructions for installing the unit were not as clear as I would like. For some reason the connector from the power supply fits very loosely in the jack on the device and kept loosing contact which required taping in position to fix. Also the power cord should be at least two or three feet longer.

The AC adapter plug on the back of the Smart Clock Essential will firmly connect to the clock and be flush against the back of the clock when properly installed. Check to be sure that the AC adapter plug is flush against the back of the Smart Clock when plugged into the power port.
