I use Apple stuff exclusively in my house with the exception of this as Apple does not make an alarm clock. Like being able to see the date and temp at a quick glance. Only annoying thing is I can’t figure out how to turn off the night light feature as I don’t want it on but can not for the life of me figure out how to turn it off.

You can also turn the nightlight on by pushing down, and holding, the volume down button. Turn off the nightlight by manually pressing again the volume down button. Decent clock marred by strange design choices.

Turning the alarm off can be difficult sometimes as far as which button to press especially when it’s 6 am and trying to wonder if you pressed the right button to shut the alarm off. Other than that it makes for a decent clock for just seeing the time and the weather feature is a plus.

Once the alarm starts sounding, you can smack the top or give a voice command to snooze. You can also simply say "stop" without the usually necessary wake words ("Hey, Google," or, "OK, Google") to shut it off. You can turn off the night light and alarm clock after the alarm sounds. Use the Google Home app to manage your device. Through the app, you can modify your Google Assistant settings including your personal information, your media service preferences, and your connected smart home devices.

You can adjust the sound of the speaker by opening the Google Home App on your Smart Phone of Tablet. Selecting the Smart Clock Essential, and then selecting the three bars with a line through them at the top of the menu. This will open up an equalizer allowing you to manually adjust the Bass and Treble. You may also pair your Smart Clock with any other cast enabled smart speaker you may have for full room, or whole home audio.
