I mostly use this as just a bedside clock, but it is nice to have the smart speaker features available. Easy setup via the Google Home app. It has a USB port built in for charging your phone while you sleep. The numbers are a good size for easy reading from anywhere in the room and the display brightness level is adjustable. It's WiFi connected, so you always have the accurate time and local weather conditions from the Internet. I got it on sale which made it an even better value.

This is one of the best alarm clocks I’ve ever had. I would definitely recommend it, I even want to purchase another one for my son!

It was part of a package deal with some GE blubs. Though not used yet I can say Google clocks are neat. The nice thing about this one is it is simple: shows time, Day and Temp plus has a night light in back you can turn off or on and a usb charger in the back you can plug your phone into (you supply the usb cord). Plus if it raining it will show a rain cloud icon. What can I say, sometimes simple is good plus it has LARGE time letters so you can see it from a distance :)

Nice addition to my google minis. Size and clarity of clock is perfect for bedroom. Quality sound and easy to set up.

Perfect for what I needed. I was wanting a bedside clock that could play my own music for alarms, and was looking between this one and the standard lenovo smart clock. While the standard one looks nice and is most likely easier to control and set due to the better touch display, I didn't want a full screen in my room since I already have my phone for all that. The essential fit the bill and was cheaper. Managed to snag this for only like $15 which makes it completely worth it. Setting an alarm was a bit frustrating as you have to use voice commands to be able to use your own music with Spotify, YouTube music, etc. Just say "set music alarm" and it'll walk you through the steps. What was frustrating is that having it select the correct song/album/playlist from Spotify is ROUGH. Rarely did it get it right and I had to keep deleting and resetting the alarm until it did. If you're someone who like switching up what music you play, I would avoid this clock. This will be best for someone who wants to set it and forget it unless you're patient. The speakers on this are nothing to write home about. They are fine for the size, but I wouldn't use this as a dedicated device for music playback. Get a nest home or something larger for better sound. For alarm use it's totally fine though. Pros: + Good, simple, easy to read screen with the time and temperature. + Small size +Decent nightlight +Solid speakers for alarm use Cons: - a bit bright even at lowest brightness - minimal physical controls, mostly controlled by voice -expensive at full price. Wait for a sale.

I love this speaker. It is easy to use and I love how it links up to my youtube premium account and plays random songs or specific songs I request. I also use it as a alarm, as a nightlight, and to get the weather. It's like Alexa, but way less annoying and controlling. Sound is pretty decent too for the size and cost. Great value. Buying one for my boyfriend as a house warming gift.

My speaker sounds good and easy to install, the numbers are clear on the day and night. Great device.

I got this on sale for $20. At that price, it beats a Nest hub mini and you get a display. Sound is really good, but then you don't get these for the sound. If you want sound, get a Nest Smart Speaker or Home Pod, but then again, no display. This is my alarm clock, but I still may get one for the bathroom and living room.

Voice recognition isn’t the best but it does work well as a clock. Speaker is decent sounding for the price, I got it as part of the package with the GE bulbs. I like bulbs, this is okay. Overall we are happy. If you are looking for a smart speaker for voice control, I won’t recommend it. However it’s good for listening to music in a small room and setting up timers. Night light feature is nice too.

Super cool device. Old school clock action with the temperature as well as a smart google device to listen to news, radio, as well as turn lights and devices on and off. Love being able to see the time without having to ask, especially in the middle of the night when the significant other is sleeping. Considering purchasing another one for my garage which doubles as a workshop if the boss (wifey) will let me.

Very easy to set up! Just download the google home app and go from there. I like that the clock automatically dims when you turn out the lights at night to go to bed. It’s still a little bright for my husband but he just keeps it turned away from him. It’s smaller than I thought it’d be but I consider that a good thing. I mainly use this clock for the alarm and to play music. It’s a cute, nifty little thing. I like it a lot.

This device comes in very handy for our son who has a newborn. Lots of applications and easy to use.

Great clock and has the embedded Google Assistant feature I was looking for. I replaced a google mini with this and the footprint is similar. I also removed my old alarm clock from the nightstand which I had for redundancy just in case. This has a nightlight feature which I like as it faces the wall rather than my face so it is unobtrusive. I do not like that I have to tell Google to turn it on and off but that is minor.
