Great usage but bad lifespan

I love how it uses the screen to show things and how compatible it is with the whole google system. I do wish the screen was a bit more interactive and showed more but it's fine. Recently however, the screen has been malfunctioning and has lines vertically and horizontally. I've tried calling lenovo and they're almost no help, I'm currently trying to call Best Buy. I've had this for 4.5 months.

Unplug your device then wait 10 seconds. Plug it back in. If this does not clear the lines on the screen, now try a reset to original factory setting of the Smart Clock: Factory reset your device (only Smart Clock) With the device powered on, press down both the volume+ / volume- button for 10 seconds. I certainly don't use all the features, but I love the white noise options and the bright sound of the alarm. Definitely preferable to setting alarms on my phone.

I also have a Google Nest Hub Max and thought this might be a mini version of that. It's not. On the Max, I can ask for a specific song/artist to be played from Yahoo Music, but the clock can't do that. Instead, you get "similar" songs with a commercial after each and every song. It's very limited compared to the Max, but it's less than 1/3 of the price. I guess you get what you pay for. I would not buy this again.

Regarding the screen we recommend to perform a factory reset of the device as it is possible this will fix your problem. To do this please start by holding down the “Volume + and – ” buttons on top of your device for 8 Seconds and then waiting for the device to reset. In regards to the music you can play songs from YouTube Music, Spotify, Pandora, Sirius XM and more. Try saying "Okay Google Play Artist" followed by the service you subscribe to. You can Link your favorite streaming services by opening the Google Home App on your Smart Phone or Tablet --->Settings--->Music. If If the issue persists, please contact our customer support team at 866-426-0911

Whenever we have a question for Google, this device is right there to assist us. Speakers are more than decent for playing music as well.

Very easy to set up with your phone and has decent though obviously not great sound. Responds quickly. Well worth for the $40 I paid for it on sale.

Can't see the clock at night from across room

Posted .Hi there! If you are finding your connection is unreliable, please ensure you are connected to a 2.4ghz WiFi band - as it works best on that. I also recommend checking your WiFi settings to see how many devices it can support and also your connection range. Sometimes that can be resolved with an inexpensive WiFi extender. Only room for improvement would be a USB 3 instead of the older USB port on the back. No Turbo Charging available from this unit.
