The functions needed for my use is purely the Google Assistant functions. I think it's highly overpriced for the features and control. Took over 10 tries with the app freezing, then the clock freezing, then both crashing. After an hour I was able to get the face to display the time but am unable to do much else with it. I assume they want you to buy the much more expensive home/nest hub. I paid $40 for this and it was $39 too much.

Posted .We're so sorry you are experiencing an issue with your device during setup. I recommend resetting your device, by longpressing both volume buttons on the top. When setting up using the Google Home app, make sure to connect to your 2.4ghz WiFi band, not a 5ghz. Our online How-To & Solutions Guide can also assit you during the setup process.
