This does virtually all of what I wanted but with a smaller footprint. Plus, Lenovo added a great colorful digital clock -- excellent choice for 40 bucks!

Turn off the lights. Good mic, you don't have to talk loudly for it to pick you up, which is good when you first wake. Great speaker quality for its' size.
