He didn't have an alarm clock and always used his phone to wake up. He said he loves it. I hear him asking "ok google..." Questions all the time. The screen is clear and you can configure the clock face in several different designs. I know the dimensions were plainly listed, but it was smaller than I expected. It's plenty big enough, I guess I just thought it was bigger. The size of the screen is similar to a large cell phone screen if that helps. I would buy it again and I'll get him another one if this ever breaks.

It works a lot like other Google Home devices, in that you can link your account in Google Home and then ask Google Assistant to play things from Apple Music or set it up as your default music service. Check with the specific APPs you want to use with the Smart Clock with Google Assistant for compatibility with Google Home APP.

I used to have Insignia GHA which was upgraded with this one. Lots of features, works as expected. Couple things though could be better. 1. if you want it to display your Google Pics as background, clock numbers are minimized. 2. Google Home Mini has much better sound and deeper bass, but what you expect from really small speaker. 3. adaptive backlight light is a bit too dim, you see the clock in dark, but it is not very clear to read, especially background tends to be in gray tones and numbers turn to light pastell colours.

There are three options: 1 dim. 2 more dim. 3 darkest. To do this please swipe up on the screen of your Lenovo Smart Clock. Then select the "settings" gear shaped icon on the right. Last select "Display Settings" You can now further adjust the auto dim brightness of the screen to your preference. Was able to move my original Google home speaker to another room. Perfect alarm clock with all the bells and whistles: multiple alarms, clock faces, and shows controls for smart devices in same room. Got this one versus the new because I wanted the mini-hub screen for music and casting controls and could deal with not having the nightlight on the back. Some people are complaining about screen brightness but the auto settings work well. At night it goes into a dim mode and in a completely dark room it is not at all bright and does not disrupt my sleep.
