Too hard to set up!

I burned up two hours online trying to effect a basic setup. I finally settled for getting the clock set to the right time. I don’t know how to set an alarm. I don’t know how to talk to the machine and I can’t dim the brightness. It’s probably a good machine but I’ll never know and I wouldn’t have bought it if I would’ve known it was this difficult to set up.

Ok but a little glitchy

Surprising a little glitchy, compared to the Lenovo full sized smart displays. A weird quirk with this device is that its mac id keeps changing randomly when connecting to your WiFi network. Could be a deal breaker for some trying to manage what is connecting to your network.

Fantastic bedside clock

I now have one in the master bedroom and the guest bedroom. It works like other google home speakers. I have the nest doorbell, so I can ask it to show me the front door and instantly, there it appears, on my clock. Great for security. I think it's supposed to show my photo galleries, but can't get it to do that? That's why I gave it 4 stars and not 5.

In order to display a "Photo Frame" background on your device you will need to first download the google photos app to your smart phone or tablet. From there you will need to upload a photo album to Google Photos. Lastly select the "Photo Frame" on your smart clock by pressing the screen and holding for 3 seconds on the clock face.
