I love that it has Google. it has the radio, gives you weather. it has everything in a small little package that doesn’t take any space on your nightstand. it’s perfect.

Nice Design, Not Fully Integrated

It was a Red Dot award winner and that’s usually a good sign, but felt it was just a bit lacking. The screen is a little hard to read, and since it’s a 3rd Party Google Assistant product the same commands we have used w/ a Google Home mini did not translate over to this or work the same. It’s a nice product, a good price point, and it’s really cool there is a screen but I think a Google Home mini remains a better product for us.

It definitely belongs in the bedroom but can be place anywhere you deem fit. It's a simple display with limited settings but it has all the capabilities you'd expect google home to do such as check the weather, stream spotify, display your nest security cameras etc. it also has a usb port behind the clock in case you want to plug in your charging cable for your phone. I wouldn't pay MSRP for this product, which is why I waited until it went on sale for $60. I'm sure the price has gone down which is a great buy for those who want a smart assistant with a display.

Music Alarm?

However, the smart alarm clock and smart home functionality is limited. I spent the better part of two weeks trying to figure out how to setup an alarm to play music (service: Spotify) but had no luck. I can't play that song or radio station was usually the response. Weird since it could play it on demand (Hey Google, play 1010 WINS). I also tried to set the weather wallpaper. I was able to apply the wallpaper but I am not sure it ever worked. Maybe I got a lemon but the clock didn't meet my expectations. I appreciate Best Buy's return service.
