There are better tablets for around the same price

After reading reviews about this tablet on a couple of "tech" sites, I thought I would give this tablet a try. I have used it for 3 days now and am ready to leave my review. The GOOD: I like the size of the tablet and the weight is manageable. The sound is also good, better than most tablets regardless of price. The battery life is very good and the charge times are good as well. The BAD: The screen is unresponsive to your touch sometimes, you have to press the screen two or three times sometimes for it to register. The tablet can't handle ANY multitasking, including just having apps on in the background. In order to get the best performance, you have to close out all open apps. Otherwise, it takes several seconds for the tablet to respond to a command. Even while writing this review, I had to wait almost 15 seconds for the keyboard to show up! Another problem is the layout of the power and volume buttons. It is very easy to shut your tablet off instead of turning the volume down. The two buttons are too close together. The other problem, and it is what I consider a MAJOR problem, is that in the last 3 days, I have had the tablet closeout the app/program I was in the middle of using several times. It has happened in several different programs, including just web surfing. All of a sudden it just kicks you out and returns you to the home screen... but only after a lengthy pause of 10-20 seconds until the home screen decides to show up again. All in all, there is no way I could recommend this tablet to a friend. There are many other tablets with better performance in the same price range. This is not the tablet for you!

Comes with a good feature set for such an attractive price. Dolby sound app a nice touch as is the IPS display and micro SD card slot. Mostly stock Android for U Google fans. Came with 5.0 but updated to 5.1 the first day of use. Nice that a major OEM is offering this good deal.

    A little bit disappointed

Bought this tablet yesterday, after searching for a cheap but good quality tablet I end up getting this tablet because of the reviews. This is for my daughter and she was so happy last night when she got this, we charged it for 6 hours and when its done I started downloading games for her and the battery drop from 100% to 70% after about 15 minutes of using it. I was so disappointed because I thought with the brand and price it will at least hold up for about 4-5 hours of use but no, it's battery life sucks. It is a nice tablet and all, easy to navigate, it does lags sometimes but maybe I am just fast, the light the screen the weight they are fine and I would still recommend the tablet though, it is nice just beware about the battery life.

Purchased this tablet so that I could move my games to it and off my phone. Handles clash of clans and Asphalt 8 just fine. I love the front speakers, they really add to the games I play. Also the graphics look very good to me. Just goes to show you don't need a $600 tablet to have a good one. Good job Lenovo.

    Outrageous Dolby Audio

Bought this a few weeks ago as a beater tablet to throw into my work truck. I ended up getting the flu and using this to watch movies in bed for a day just to test it out. Dolby Atmos sound is absolutely unbelievable: the sound is above you, behind you, and absolutely immersive. I have never heard sound like this from any tablet. The screen quality is very nice, too. For $99 bucks, this tablet is hard to beat. I liked the sound quality so much, I bought the a7 to build into the dash of my 1957 Chevy truck (another review). There are a lot of price point based compromises in these inexpensive tablets, sound quality is not one of them.

Cannot beat for the price. Only issue is keypad in online gaming chat is a little glitchy. Been using for three weeks now and meets all my needs. Great for game of war. High quality compared to other tablets at this price.

Great Idea But It Falls Short

The idea of this tablet is awesome. I bought it for it's lovely graphics, its 8 inch screen, and the fact that it has expandable storage. I bought in-store and opened it at home. The first thing I noticed was there was a blotch on the screen where it was discolored. Seeing as I have had this trouble before with tablets, I did not want to go through it again, especially with a BRAND NEW tablet. The other bad thing about this device is the sound SUCKS. I do not know if there are other problems with the device because I am returning it ASAP. Pros: good size, expandable memory, great graphics Cons: screen defective upon removal from the box, sounds quality is very poor

Very good tablet for the price. Android system responds well. Apps available are numerous. Best with Wi-Fi use. Picture quality is good, not great. Video quality is much better. Worth the investment

I was having issues with my Samsung galaxy tab 4 i bought a year ago so i bought this. its fine for reading ebooks, web surfing and basic video. front facing speakers are nice. where this tablet lacks is in overall performance and video processing for action films or anything with a lot of moving video elements.

    Poor Lenovo Customer Support

Purchased this product 3 weeks ago and have had continuing problems downloading applications purchased through the tablet. Normally i have to download several times and I have reset the tablet several times. Lenovo has been no help saying it is the applications and if it was one application maybe but not multiple ones made for Android. Avoid Lenovo because IMO they have very poor customer service and i'm glad I found this out with a inexpensive tablet and not a $1,000 laptop.

Bought this as a gift for my dad. This has good enough specs for most people's tablet use (checking emails, web browsing, streaming movies, etc..). Would buy again
