Seemed like hardware issues with the laptop freezing up several times in first hour and having to reboot many times. After two to three hours trying to get it setup, finally returned it and bought HP.

I have had my Lenovo yoga 2 2-in-1 for almost 2 years now...and it works like a BOSS!!! I use it mostly for online studies...and it has not disappointed me yet! I absolutely love love LOVE the portability and surprisingly excellent performance for such an affordably priced pc. BUT!!! No keypad backlight is a minimal hindrance...OTHERWISE EXCELLENT!!!

I purchased this Lenovo Yoga 2 about 3 weeks ago and I have to say that in happy with my purchase so far. I purchased it when it was on sale for $399 and considering and HD touchscreen 4GB ram and 500GB hard drive its not bad. The design is nice and slim. Weights next to nothing and battery holds charge for a long time even when I have it set up at high performance mode and screen brightness is at 100%. The only downside to this Yoga 2 is that you will miss a LAN port which might be needed once in a while as well as a cd-dvd drive. However considering the really slim design I cannot complain too much. I can recommend this Lenovo Yoga 2 to everyone who is looking for a good laptop within $400-$450 price range.

I looked at several laptops online and read the reviews. I purchased one that was really cheap but I really wanted this one. Went to the store and saw this one as an open box item. Marked down plus an extra 10% off. Exchange was quick and no hassel. Needed it for basic use plus to store the tons of pictures I take. I have had 7 other laptops plus the ones the kids have had about 2 more each. This is exactly what I wanted! Total cost out the door was 219.00. It boots up super fast. Everything works super fast. Mine came with windows 8.1 and will not be upgrading to win 10 since all the other laptops at home and the pc are running win 10. I loveb love this lenovo. Works perfect in every way. Flipping to tablet mode does no bring the on-screen keyboard automatically but its just a tap on the screen and there it is. Battery life is awesome. Super happy with my new Lenovo.

Good Mix of Laptop and Tablet

This was purchased as a gift for a family member who was accustomed to an iPhone and had minimal desktop computer skills. The thinking was the iPhone skills would transfer over to the tablet and then to the computer/laptop. The Lenovo Yogo is great for this and the transfer seems to be happening successfully. The difficulty so far has been the learning curve with of the Microsoft OS system, so be aware of this delay. The Yogo works well as a laptop and being able to use it as a touchscreen or a tablet is a great feature.

I've purchased "top of the line" products from Apple and other "premium" vendors over the years, but since the technology is changing so rapidly I have decided that I don't really want to pay the high prices, and now I usually look for the best value. I believe that you should enjoy it, and then go on to the next improvement in a year or two. This is a good quality 2-1 laptop for the money. It's construction quality is good, and it's fairly light at 3 lbs. The Pentium mobile processor in it is faster than a Celeron of AMD but still a little marginal. Also, I do wish that the 4gb of ram could be upgraded; but there is no available slot to add more memory, as the ram is soldered on the motherboard. That's an issue on the cheaper model laptops/2-1's. Either the storage is eMMC and can't be increased, or the ram is limited. This one does have a good size HD at 500gb. Screen resolution is just average, but not bad for internet surfing and movie watching. Also, the Windows 10 OS is many times superior to an Android OS, which is really designed for phones and tablets first, not computers. Even though the OS is great, the "Windows Store" is very limited in available apps vs either Apple or Android. If you are really into apps, you won't like the limited availability, and I really am disappointed in the slow progress that Microsoft has made here in adding high quality new apps over the past year. Bottom line, if you want a manageable size screen, light weight and a good operating system, and want to stay below $400 this product is worth it's small investment.

This computer is cute and lightweight. I wanted something compact. Problem is it's way too slow. Ridiculously slow!!! Had it for one day and already ordered a different one online. Because I can't be without a computer, when the other is delivered this is going straight Back to the store. Also if you are typing the keyboard is so tight spaced that my hands cramp. A 13" would be better, had one before and it was perfect.

I purchased this laptop after going back and forth between this and the Toshiba. I had actually originally taken home the Toshiba but didn't open it. I read that the Toshiba had a TFT screen and decided to pay little extra for the IPS panel plus the Toshiba case had a pink hue to it in my opinion. This Lenovo has a spinning hard drive so ts not the quickest but it serves the purposes i intend to use it for. I have had no problems with zooming happening on its own. Just have to watch and make sure there are no extra fingers on the track pad. There are 2 things i wish were different about this.. I wish there was a back-lit keyboard and I wish it were a little thinner and lighter. You can find a great review on youtube for a slightly older model that pretty much applies to this model. Bonus is that the charger works on my larger thinkpad laptop.

I submitted the original rating and gave this product a bad review. I have since spoken with someone else at Best Buy and exchanged the Toshiba for this particular model again and this particular computer runs very differently from my first model. The keyboard is very responsive, the mouse works much much better on this model and the Pentium processor even though it's entry level is very fast. Overall, using this product for the second time for a few weeks I am very satisfied.

I received this laptop for Christmas after a few weeks of researching different ones. I wanted to go with Lenovo because I've heard great things about this laptop. My primary purpose is to take it with me so I can do my school work. Its light weight and has a great screen. I don't understand why others say that is cheap because I feel its very well made. I love keyboard and how the letters are spaced apart. For what I need it for and the price it works for me. I'm so glad I purchased this computer.

Battery dies overnight but the screen is pretty

The touch screen works, Windows 10 doesn't. I've had serious problems with this laptop not holding a charge because some random thing (printer spool, network card, an open notification, etc) keeps it from going to sleep. It won't hold a charge overnight, losing about 10%/hour with the lid closed. Another interesting part of Windows 10 is that even "shut off" computer doesn't shut it off completely so you literally can't (without causing a forced power off) turn off the computer to save the battery. It is a brand new ultra portable laptop that can't go 10 hours away from a plug, even without being used. Other than that it's a good-enough laptop with decent CPU specs and a great screen with good viewing angles and responsive touch screen. Oh, Windows 10 on an 11" screen means you are constantly trying to touch tiny buttons and in tablet mode the keyboard is huge but the rest of the screen isn't any better, so you end up not relying on the touch screen for clicking on websites and such. My touchpad doesn't recognize two fingered clicks either. Thanks Obama. If I didn't have the battery issues it would definitely be worth the money and worth the hassles but right now in order for me to get it to sleep I need to run a powercfg -energy script, then go through the output to find what's keeping it from sleeping then read up on how to fix that, then fix it. And that's pretty much what I need to do every time.

My harddrive has gone bad twice. The first was repaired under the manufacturer's warranty through Geek Squad, and the second happened right after the manufacturers warranty ended. Geek squad said they could repair it if i was willing to pay for the repair, which i was not willing to do. After it has sat for 6 months i finally decided to look into it again and took it to a local reputable pc repair company. They quoted $200 for repair, $120 of it for Windows reinstall. I only paid $400 for it a year and a half ago. Needless to say im truly dissapointed and will never buy this brand again.

This is a great light-weight and speedy laptop. The only thing I noticed is that the gray casing area gets dirty easily. I am a mouser - and not a touch-pad user - and often use the mouse right on the laptop. I am thinking of attaching a thin rubber square on the lower right side to prevent the dirt from accumulating. Otherwise, a great work laptop.

So, I pretty much purchased this laptop for school. I heard many great reviews and just thought I'd check it out on my own. I ended up returning the laptop as I felt it being a little too slow for me. I have an old laptop that runs faster, which mind-boggled me because it is a 5 year old laptop. However, I gave it 3 stars because the specs are great. Unfortunately, I need a laptop that can hold multiple tabs without it slowing down, and as I do believe there is potential in this little one, I feel that it did not exceed my expectations for the price. Also, I had a small problem with the audio. Sometimes there seemed to be a static noise when playing songs. Although, I did not have time to play with it as it was already on its way back. Moreover, the laptop feels and looks great! On the other hand, it is slow in my opinion.

    Better buys for less money

I have a Lenovo desktop that has been a true champion. I thought I was getting the same quality with this laptop. Wrong choice. I bought this laptop on 10/18/15 and promptly returned it on 10/19/15 for a Toshiba Satellite which is a much better choice. When you use the mouse the screen automatically gets smaller or larger whether you are using Microsoft Word or are on the internet. It gets very small or very large. This happened to me about 50 times. It also froze up on me at least twice. What starts bad ends bad. Exchanged this for my Toshiba satellite and received $108 back to my checking account. Good luck to whoever buys this laptop.
