I bought this to replace my Yoga 3. After having so many problems with the first one, the Yoga 2 runs very smoothly, and I haven't had any problems yet. It is a little slow though, but unless you're gaming, it shouldn't matter.

slick looking but no ram upgrade

I got this for Christmas and like the design. With only 4GB of RAM running windows 10, though, it isn't the quickest little tablet out there. I thought I could resolve most of my issues buy just adding more RAM. Turns out that's not possible, the memory is soldered in: https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/documents/ht101244 This could be a good kids laptop, but RAM will max out quickly, even with smaller applications.

    Nice 2-in-1 Laptop

Bought this laptop for my girlfried so she can study, and create material for teaching, and it is as good as expected. So far, she has not made one complaint about it. We both use PC's alot at work and at home, so anything too slow or problematic would definitely get noted. However, this aptop has been great, with a nice resolution. I gave it 4 stars because I know its not the fastast, or best laptop on the market, but for the price, this is a nice 2-in-1.

    Really like this laptop

This laptop was purchased to replace a previous Lenovo and I like this one much much better. It feels so durable, not fragile, yet it's super lightweight. It's used for basic web browsing and school work. We've had it for a couple months and it's performed great. The only gripe I have is the touchpad sensitivity sometimes causes you to accidentally change the screen size, other than that, it's been perfect for our needs.

cheap laptop that does not function

I initially bought this laptop after reading rave reviews on Best Buy. I thought it would be the perfect laptop for college and I was very wrong. Within 24 hours of purchasing the laptop, the sound system broke. I had to reset the laptop within 24 hours of purchasing! After a couple of days, the laptop decides to not turn on after being in sleep mode. The screen turns completely black even though it is on. This computer is not only slow but also very useless. It may seem to have fancy functions but I have never been so frustrated. I have had multiple laptops throughout the years. I have used HPs, Toshibas, and Dell. None of my previous laptops have given me so much trouble. I have had this laptop for 10 days and it works as if I have had it for at least 4 years. The price may seem very nice but you can buy far nicer laptops with the same price. You can buy a Toshiba or HP with the same amount of money and it will work much better.

This is a good computer at a mid-level price. The only thing I dislike is the battery is not replaceable on it. I bought it to use as for more of a mobile device as it is just the right size in my opinion for travel. The 4 GB and 500 hard drive is plenty as I do not store unnessary items on a computer. Overall I am please with the item.

Disappointed in Best Buy, Geek Squad, and Lenovo!

I bought two of these for my daughters a little less than two years ago for school (one in high school/ one in grade school). I was skeptical of the name and then the Best Buy sales representative assured me that it is a good brand; formally IBM. Recently both computers began to run very poorly so I brought them into Best Buy for Geeksquad support. I purchased the three year software support (over $300.00) to have any virus or issues removed and software re-set. According to Geek Squad (after running diagnostics) both laptops suddenly have faulty hard drives. To add to the frustration Best Buy doesn't support Lenovo laptop parts and they recommended that I purchase used hard drives from china on Ebay, and then they will install them. Not wanting to go that route I contacted Lenovo. According to Amanda at Lenovo (1-855-253-6686) they are not responsible for the parts inside of the computer after a year. I asked if Lenovo laptops normally go bad before two years, and she said that they hope to get four years out of hard drives, but it is a Seagate (??) problem and not a Lenovo problem; .although she was more than happy to give me the replacement part number along with Lenovo's parts website were I know learned that I can buy a two replacement hard drives for $206.33 ea. If I decide to go forward with this repair I will have spent over $700 ($300+ Geeksquad warranty/ $400+ on two hard drives) after less than two years. Disappointed in Best Buy, Geek Squad, and Lenovo!

We are sorry to hear about the hard drive issues you are having with your Lenovo Yoga 2-11 laptops. You might want to discuss with your Geek Squad representative, replacing the hard drives with compatible solid state hard drives. It should be less expensive than the price you were quoted for the standard replacement drives for this system. lenovo

This system is equipped with OneKey Recovery System. There is a very small button on the right side, below the power button. This button is so small, you will need a pencil or pen to push the button. OneKey Recovery will boot up your system when it won't boot up normally. Plug your system in. Let the battery charge for a short time. Then push the OneKey Recovery Button with a pencil or pen. Your system should boot to a special screen that will let you normal to your desktop, or restore to factory defaults. Once you get to the desktop, you can create a restore point on your system. Then you can follow the link below to Lenovo.com support-drivers and look for driver updates for your specific system. Once again, create a restore point on your system before you make any changes or download new software. You may also want to turn off automatic updates on your system. You will get a notice when there is an update for your system. This will give you the opportunity to create a restore point on your system, then allow the update to your system. Hope this helps:

I bought this because Rosetta Stone wanted me to pay 100.00 a year for their online access. I already own my language course, and enjoy studying it on my lunch break. They won't let you download to a tablet. My Lenova is light weight enough to take to lunch, but is heavy enough to feel solid. Very happy with the functionality of it so far.

I knew I was only getting a laptop with 4 GB of RAM and a 2.16GHz processor, but even with that it was incredibly slow. Maybe it's just my specific model which I got discount as an open box, but even after updating the drivers it can barely run two applications at once. I will be returning it and looking for something else.

Don't waste your time or money. This laptop is so poorly built it began to break less than a month after I bought it. The LCD panel on the right began to burn out, and finally vanished in a blaze of pixelated glory. Fortunately, one of the only advantages of this product is that the screen divides in half, so I still had a working screen, albeit half the size...until the entire screen decided not to turn on at all. Along with the screen problem, I've had all sorts of other issues such as over-heating and slow app start up. The warranty that comes free with this laptop is close to worthless. It's only honored under very specific circumstances. Buying the Yoga 2 has caused me a world of stress and I wouldn't wish that on anyone else.
