    worthless

I bought this computer for basic word processing and web browsing. It's been fairly worthless since the day I bought it. I immediately installed the virus protection that came with it, as well as Microsoft Word. The computer is very slow. Takes forever to start up. It doesn't seem powerful enough to even operate Word. Web browsing is very slow. Most of the time spent on this laptop is sitting by and watching it install "important updates." Seemingly every time I turn it on, it tells me that it needs to restart to install important updates. This process can take it 30 minutes. I have nothing good to say about this computer other than its size. It's nice that it's small. Other than that, it's been worthless. I must have really gotten a lemon because many of the reviews make it sound like an OK computer. Hopefully this review will balance that out. This is far from an OK computer. It's the worst machine I've ever used.

I was looking for a low-end second computer to travel with. My computing load is light; email, surfing, making travel arrangements and monitoring sports teams. This machine fits my needs. After reading some reviews with issues, I have beat the machine to ensure Wi-Fi is robust - it is. The display is excellent and all my required programs display well in the high resolution screen. The Lenovo site is a horror. Trying to register the machine is a travail and learning which drivers need to be updated (if any) is a brute process. No assistance from the company site so far.

The laptop in general is okay. My main problem with it is the first month I purchased it, the keyboard messed up and they had to replace the whole laptop because it couldn't be fixed. Now it's five months later and the mouse has completely stopped working. It was giving me an issue with the touchpad before it stopped.

I got this on October 7th, I was very excited about getting this laptop, this was my very first experience with a touch screen and 'almost a tablet' kinda gadget, my first week was OK, the laptop overheated too frequently, and the very first day started to freeze multiple times, that was not a major problem to me, but the real trouble began when one day I was doing some homework, I decided to give me a break, saved the document and put the laptop to sleep, when i returned and wanted to turn it on it just didnt, so i plugged in the charger, and for my surprised it didnt work at all, not even the LED light that is supposed to be flickering while its charging, I immediately thought it was the charger that wasnt working, so with no doubt I got a $40 bucks charger from Amazon thinking that should fix everything, and again didnt work, I was shocked and desperate, Im a college student who works in her laptop almost everyday, unfortunately I didnt get the Geek Squad guarantee because I wasnt expecting this kind of problems 2 MONTHS after i bought it, I looked up in the Lenovo page to see if they could change this laptop for a new one, while I was investigating i discover that I wasnt the only one affected by this, people who got this computer were having the same problem as me, one even got it the SAME DAY he bought it, i mean thats ridiculous, im very dissapointed in this brand and i dont know if ill be able to get a new one as soon as possible. I dont want to afect in your decision on getting this laptop, but i just wanted to share my experience so at least you all know what could be the consequences

I love my yoga ... and use all the modes... stand to watch movies, tablet to read mail and walking around, reg. laptop mode for typing. The only thing that bothers me a little is the touch pad buttons, they are not separate buttons and also act as part of the mouse moving pad, so if you move your finger alittle while pressing the right or left mouse button unexpected things happen. Otherwise I love it and the screen is very clear.

Overall this laptop is nice but battery life is poor, only last a few hours. It hits 25% and then tanks 15mins latter and keyboard feel is cheesy. Speed is slower than I expected but overall for a 2n1 in this price range it's not bad. My mid priced, unnamed 15.6 2n1 runs twice as long on a charge and is way faster. Considering returning it, I just wanted something more portable and could be used like a tab.

    Breaks down all the time

Bought my Lenovo Yoga Laptop about a year a half ago and I was really excited about it. Since that time it has broken down 4 times. Geek Squad at best buy is not allowed to touch it either, they have to send it back to Lenovo which is about a two-three week process. I would have never bought this computer had I known all of the problems that I was going to have with it. They are now telling me that I am probably going to need to my motherboard replaced which is going to cost an arm and a leg since I am no longer in warranty. If you are considering this because it is supposed to be "best bang for your buck", don't. It has become such a hassle.

    Poorly made laptop

I bought this laptop last August. I had previously had a Mac for personal use and a Lenovo Thinkpad for work. When I got a new job I had to give my Thinkpad back to my former employers. My Mac is very old and does not work very well so since I had positive experiences with my Lenovo Thinkpad I purchased a Lenovo Yoga. Since I purchased this laptop I have been extremely disappointed. First off, the keyboard and touchboard seem like they are cheaply made and are very hard to use. I often rely on the touchscreen because I dislike using the keyboard and touchboard so much. Last week, less than 9 months after purchasing the laptop, my hard drive crashed. When I asked the man at the Geek Squad how it crashed he said "it just happens, it can happen after 6 months or after 6 years". I lost everything on my computer; luckily, I did not have many important files (or any files on it all). In the 9 months that I have had this laptop, I use it maybe once a week, if not once every other week. I have not downloaded anything on it nor have I gone on any sketchy websites. Thankfully, I bought extended protection so they will replace the hard drive for me. However, I would in no way recommend purchasing this laptop. It is probably the one thing I truly regret buying.

I bought a different unit from BB and had problems with it so the young man in computers busted his hump to find and exchange it to this one. No problems at all! I love it! This is why I always try to buy from BestBuy!

    Good PC for this price

This is a good PC for surfing web, checking emails, streaming music and videos. Dolby tuned sound is much better than expected. The 11" screen is not suitable for using longer period. Even thought it has a touch screen, Windows 8 is not matured enough to utilize it. Metro is just gimmick. I think Lenovo should make Chromebook version of this.

    Great Slim Laptop

This is a great laptop and runs fast. Turns on in 15 sec. even after 2 months of use with lots of programs added. One thing I did was to get rid of the Lenovo bloatware and also turned off about 10 Windows Apps running in the Windows 8.1 background. Turned most of them off and increased the power feature to high performance. Never glitched or lags even when playing MINECRAFT or on t he internet, you tube etc... IPS display is bright enough on battery and gets very bright when plugged in. It's lightweight and battery lasts about 5 hours. Great laptop for a kid. The only weak part I could find is the wifi. I live in a brick house with plaster walls. With this laptop if I wonder into another room the signal diminishes greatly, first time I've encountered this in my house. All my other 12 devices, laptops, ipads, phones never had a problem with wifi.

    Decent Laptop

We have had this laptop for about 3 weeks and it works really well for our family. The touchscreen works nicely, the keypad buttons are easy to type on, and has loud volume from speakers. The things we do not like are the mousepad and the screen brightness. The mousepad is very finicky and the buttons are very hard to push. The screen setting may be able to be changed but has been pretty dim.

I bought this last year and it was awesome at first. I loved it!! Was so fast and the graphics were awesome. After a couple months my screen went black and there was no way I could turn it on. Then a few months later my power button broke and so I have to reset my computer in order to turn it on every time. Best buy didn't help me at all because this computer doesn't come with ANY WARRANTY! Not even like a 3-6 month!!!!! My computer screen still goes black often and I have to take it to a specialist to get it fixed. I've only had this computer for 11 months!!! Not worth the money whatsoever! Also it is super slow now

After reading a lot of the reviews, decided to purchase this 2-in-1 laptop to do some light home computing (internet surfing, reviewing work documents, etc.). It's perfect for what I needed. Getting used to having a touch screen laptop is a little tricky, but not any challenges specific to this computer / brand.

I was looking for a cheap laptop around 11 inches so I could take it to class. This fit the bill and was much higher quality than I expected. It was an awesome buy when I paid $550 and is a steal at $450! If you are looking for something to surf the internet, do word processing, and watch youtube videos then you won't find something that is a higher quality at this price.

After reading all the reviews about this computer I thought it would be a good choice. BUT IT WASN'T!!!!!!!!. on the first day it was so slow. You would expect it to be fast on the first day, at least. It takes forever to start, it takes forever for the apps to load. After installing windows 10 the screen started flickering and won't stop even when I turned it off and back on. I wouldn't recommend getting this computer.

To be 100% honest, the Lenovo Yoga 2 is the worst computer (laptop or otherwise) that I have owned to date. I bought the Yoga 2 earlier in the year because my MacBook was on the its last leg and since my school is working with 2-in-1s, I figured it woudn't hurt to get one for home. I was internally debating between an HP or a Lenovo, and after the constant recommendation (nagging, essentially) of one of the Best Buy employees, I decided to try the Yoga. It worked wonderfully for the first week or so, but after that, I started to notice more and more problems. This computer is horrible with picking up wireless signal. My family members can be sitting next to me, getting full signal while I get a maximum of 2-3 bars and a snail's pace Internet speed. After telling the Best Buy genius that I was mostly going to be streaming movies and working on school work, I needed something that could reliably pick up WiFi. Also, the touchscreen does not always respond to touch actions, which can get frustrating. Lastly, after only 6 months and taking good care of my laptop (hoping it may one day have a change of heart and cooperate with me....) my keyboard is becoming less and less responsive when buttons are pressed. I'm not a heavy handed typist, as I never have had a problem with keyboards before, but the "L" key hardly responds anymore, or I really have to jam it down for it to work properly. Overall, I would choose a different laptop if possible, and I, personally, will probably be buying another NON-Lenovo laptop in the very near future.

I purchased my Yoga 2 about 5 months ago. It constantly freezes up and gives me an error message stating that the computer has "encountered a problem and cannot find a solution...must restart system" and it then proceeds to restart, which sometimes takes up to 10 minutes. Also, the device runs extremely slow. It cannot handle running a few programs at the same time. This was my first Lenovo purchase and I am very disappointed with my device. I am about 90% sure that I will never buy a Lenovo device again. I am not impressed.

Cannot be charged on USB port

I like this computer, it is small, cheap and works very well. The display is not perfect, it is unevenly lit and not very crisp, compared to an iPad for example. I am writing this review to warn prospective buyers of one small annoying thing: You cannot charge it on a USB portm, like in some newer airplanes or the USB plugs for cars. That is annoying for a computer clearly designed for travel. I just talked with tech support and they confirmed that it is not possible. Otherwise, I really like this little guy!
