This is a great concept a 2 in 1 that does both well initially. After 3 days froze and had to do a hard reset. Returned and the second after 2 days no longer charged unit. Have to bring the unit back in. Until Lenovo corrects problem this will get 1 star. Buyer beware.

I bought this laptop for my son 9 to complete homework assignments. Mostly in google docs. It's not for 'gaming' no high graphics or large mem requires simple internet searches and google docs. The computer is sooo slow you have to wait a ridiculous amount of time for anything to start. I took it to the geek squad (yes I paid extra for their service) and zero help. So much for going middle of the road. Would have been better off with a chomebook or spending a little more and I mean just a little more could have the MacBook.

Loved it 'til the ON button broke 4 mos. in

Bought my Lenovo Yoga 2 11 four months ago and was very satisfied with it. Unfortunately, my power button will no longer turn the unit on or off. If the unit shuts down the only way to turn it on is the NOVO button which should only be used by advanced operators. When something as necessary as the ON button breaks I don't think that's a sign of a quality piece of equipment. Lenovo says they'll fix it because it's still under warranty but I have to send it to them and that means weeks, possibly months (if the parts are not available) without my computer. And the whole time I am without my computer, the term of the warranty just keeps ticking away, a fact confirmed by the person I spoke with in support. According to this same person, I could take it back to Best Buy and have the Geek Squad fix it at my expense. If Geek Squad can do the repair at the place where I bought my Lenovo Yoga 2 11, why all the shipping? If the local bricks-and-mortar store where I bought my still-under-warranty Yoga 2 11 can repair it, then I should be able to take it there and have it repaired under warranty. I cannot recommend the Lenovo Yoga 2 11 because the ON button breaks too easily and the Lenovo warranty terms are ridiculous.

Cost more to fix than buy new

Gave it 1 start becuase I could not give it 0. After very little use as a tablet, the clam that connect the base to the screen broke when transitioning from a laptop to a tablet. This is "not covered under the warranty as it is cosmetic" Of course the broke clamp caused the screen to fail. Repair cost is $487 plus $99 to have them look at it and $25 to ship it to them. I have had a laptop for 25 years and never had a problem with a screen. I will never purchase a Lenovo product again or any laptop that is a "2 in 1"

the guy at the store told me this was a great product for school work and things such as surfing the web, but it ends up freezing or is just incredibly slow even with just one program open. Very frustrating,

    Very bad Laptop

I bought this Laptop from Best buy on April 15th and touchscreen stopped working on May 10th. I worked with online support and tried all kinds of restores. Brought it back to the best buy store and they would not exchange it or take it back as I did not buy Best buy protection plan. The GeeK squad person who was extermely rude told me the only option I had was to send the Laptop to their Service center and get it back in 3 weeks or go work with Lenevo directly. I had owned many Acer, Asus, Toshiba, Dell laptops and it was an extermely disappointing excperience with Lenevo and Best Buy.

when i first got this laptop i was quite satisfied, but about five days in i had battery issues. i could put it on the charger when i went to bed and when i woke up and got on it the battery would only at 46%. through some research i found that not charging and having no battery life was a very popular problem on the yoga 2 11. other then these issues every thing else about this laptop was great.

    Do not buy this laptop

I bought this product from Best Buy couple of months back and been having trouble since. After several weeks of usage, suddenly one day the computer decided not to start up. Took it Best Buy and they could not fix it, so sent it to Lenovo. The Lenovo guys fixed it and sent it back. Now after several days of usage, there is no sound coming from the computer. Tried various things like rebooting, reinstalling sound drivers, checking for virus etc. Finally checked the Lenovo forums and found that the audio port may be a problem. Once I put in one of my headphones, I can hear the sound, but if it is taken out, no sound emanates from the speakers. Now, I have to make the trip again to Best Buy and probably wait for several weeks to get this machine fixed. I have a MacBook Air, purchased from Best Buy last year and had NO problems with it. Spend a little extra and buy a Mac or may be a Surface, but do not buy this product.

    No good.

This laptop is great on paper: Lenovo is awesome, the 2in1 idea is awesome, but I was severely disappointed. My biggest frustration with it was that the touchscreen only worked randomly. Sometimes it would work in desktop/windows 8 mode, sometimes it wouldn't. Sometimes it would work in tablet/tent mode, but most of the time it wouldn't. Also, half the time it didn't know which mode it was in. The screen wouldn't rotate properly. I am a sad Lenovo fan, as I had to return this one.

    Poor customer retention and service

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Warranty is 12 months with an extra month thrown in as per Lenove service center. Lenovo refused to fix 30 days out of 13 month warranty. If geek Squad had notified Lenovo when they checked it out it would have been repaired as per Lenovo. Lesson learned Lenovo and Best Buy are not concerned with customer retention. Don't trust Geek Squad to know what is going on with Lenovo. Check things out for your self. They are in the business of selling computers, not keeping customers happy.

    Doesn't Register Keystrokes

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

It doesn't matter what you're typing in, Word, Wordpress, a status update on Facebook- the keystrokes don't register in the correct order. You have to retype everything incredibly slowly for errors not to occur. It's maddening. A typewriter would be more convenient. Hitting 'Shift' could not register at all, or it could be over-sensitive and capitalize the next 100 keystrokes. It's awful. Runs very slowly if more than one app is open as well.

It's the worst computer i'd had. It's slower than my 6 yrs. old laptop. Right at the beginning, it's no longer working the way a new computer should be. It froze frequently, slow and the touch screen don't work all the time. I've decided to put it away . t's safer that way, it will be out of my sight othewise I am going to throw it out the window..

DO NOT BUY IF YOU NEED WIRELESS

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

If you need a reliable internet connection on your lap top then DO NOT BUY this one. While the laptop does have a good screen and a good solid feel to it the internet card is bogus. And best of all Lenovo does not have a fix. And I've already returned one for this problem and my second one has the same issue. Search "Yoga 2 wireless problem" and you'll see thousands of others with the same issue and no fix from Lenovo #they have "suggestions" but as I have found out and as you can read on the message board none of them work#. Best Buy has been great about taking my returns but they should really stop selling this model as it is garbage. I'll be buying another laptop from Best Buy but it won't be a Lenovo.

Nice little tablet. But I have had to ship mine to Lenovo Twice because of issues with the tablet freezing up and starting up. I have had this for 6 months. I would recommend getting a Surface RT. for the same price. I have had my Surface RT for 6 months as well but I received it from my company I work for so I did not have to purchase the Surface RT.

Bought this computer on 3/20/14 by 4/6/14 the laptop won't turn on anymore. I have had it plugged in for over an hour and nothing. I called lenovo and they have asked me to ship it to their repair center. Of course this problem occurs after bestbuy's 15 day warranty expired. Unbelievable how defective this product is.

Bought the laptop and was very happy when I received. I did all my data transfer from my old laptop to this one. I upgrade to 8.1 & after 3 days, the laptop started freezing to the point that you had to shut it down through the on/off button, it kept doing this for the next 3 days or so, so I took it to the Geek Squad. They tried to restore the laptop back to factory but they were not successful.I lost my data and returned the laptop.

    Battery Didn't Last 90 Days

Purchased this unit for it's portability. Sadly, within 90 days I was receiving a message that the battery was weak and needs to be replaced. Because the battery is not removable, the unit must be sent in to Lenovo for repair under warranty with a 7 business day turnaround. Not so portable after all.
