WiFi Dependable Only if You're 2' From the Router

I love this laptop, but the WiFi is HORRIBLE. I've spent hours on the phone with Lenovo tech support, but can't get dependable WiFi unless I'm within a foot or so of the router. Even then, with my Lenovo desktop and this Lenovo laptop sitting side by side, my desktop shows a download speed of 20 mbps, while this laptop shows 5 mbps. Move 2 rooms away and I get 1.5 mbps and constant dropouts. A Dell laptop in the same location works perfectly fine. Before buying, do your research. Do a search on "Lenovo Yoga 2 13 slow WiFi". Don't ignore all the problems others are having!

    Poor especially Lenovo customer service

From the beginning this Lap Top gave me some issues. Not always but from time to time...Now, the several hardware problems escalated and the use of this computer is very slow and unpredictable. Customer service from Lenovo is unable to fix a situation like this one and evade the claim. A pity because the Yoga Lap top I had in the past were great !! I do not recommend to purchase one Yoga. I will my-self go for another brand.

    Wifi connectivity sucks

I was so excited for this laptop and loved how clear the display was and how well the touch screen responded in store. The computer rep told me that this was one of the best 2 in 1 laptops on the market. When I tried to set up the computer and tried to connect to WiFi it wasn't recognizing the connection in my home, so I moved to an area of better connectivity and still had little to no signal, I went in the room with the router and the signal was excellent (duh# but as soon as I left the connection went to nothing. I called best buy #where I remained on hold for 20 minutes) to get told that best buy had no more of those laptops in stock and would have to go to another store. I went to the next closest location and explained the problem and one of the customer service reps repetitively told me to "make sure I was connecting to the router that was in my house" and that I typed the correct password. Then they decided to blame the problem on Verizon and their router problems. I took the laptop home to give it one more chance and connected to someone elses WiFi and still had the same problem. Needless to say, this is going back to the store.

    Good Cumputer When It Worked

Hello. I am a engineering student and needed a laptop suitable for my needs, the Lenovo came highly recommended by the BestBuy employees I talked to.This was a great computer at first but after having it for 2 months I kept getting a blue screen of death. It would restart automatically stating that "Your PC ran into a problem and needs to restart. We're just collecting some error info, and then we'll restart for you. If you'd like to know more, you can search online for this error: DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE." I searched this error and it seems like the Lenovo has a lot of problems with this happening. This problem would randomly happen and if I had anything open that wasn't saved it would be completely lost. I am currently writing this comment from my old computer because I and trying a factory reset on the Lenovo to see if that will fix the problem. I got the extended warranty but failed to get the Geek Squad Protection #I know my dumb fault# as I have never needed it for any of my previous computers. So there is nothing I can do unless I pay $80 for them to look at it or break it so the warranty will replace it. SO I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IF YOU MUST GET THIS COMPUTER GET THE GEEK SQUAD PROTECTION YOU WILL PROBABLY BE NEEDING IT.

    Problematic laptop

This laptop has not been a very good purchase for me at all. Two months after I bought it, I started having issues with the screen. The visuals turned neon pink at random, and I eventually had to have it shipped to the Lenovo center to be fixed. After they repaired it, I had a similar problem two months after that. This laptop has been nothing but a hassle from the day I bought it, and I do not recommend buying it.

    WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE EVER

I bought this item a while ago and have what appears to be a simple driver patch issue with my wireless card. I called Lenovo and was told SEVERAL times that I would have to pay an additional fee to speak with someone to help me. I then asked for a manager and was told that there was no manager available. RAY (#466724) was rude and patronizing (continuously pointing out that this would not have to be so hard if I paid the fee). At the time of purchase I was not told that I would need to pay an additional fee for phone support on a simple driver issue. I WILL NEVER BUY A LENOVO COMPUTER AGAIN!

    Worst computer I've ever owned

    Posted .

Despite the strong processing power and memory, this is one of the slowest, most poorly functioning laptops I've ever owned. After only a few months since purchasing, I have daily problems with the computer freezing and the track pad ceasing to work. I really only use the laptop for word processing and web browsing, but the most basic programs cause enormous slowdown. The Yoga models do have a very sleek design, which is nice, but the flip and touch capabilities often causes the computer to freeze or the keyboard to stop working entirely once you resume normal laptop mode. Do yourself a favor and do not buy a Lenovo yoga.

This computer isn't worth the cardboard box it came in. This computer has notorious Wi-Fi issues. I ignored other reviewers Wi-Fi problems. I said to my self, "this can't happen to me"---DON'T be me!! DON'T buy this computer!!!!! You can get better Wi-Fi with two cans and some string.

    TERRIBLE WIFI

Do not buy this piece of garbage! I'm not sure if the positive reviews are paid, but what everyone says about the bad wifi is completely true. I ended up purchasing a new router and this darn computer is still extremely slow loading pages. I'm super disappointed and will be returning this laptop (thankfully have only had it 5 days). My old Sony Vaio is faster on the internet than the Lenovo Yoga 2, so now my search continues. I need a business computer that is fast on the internet and this thing is just plain unacceptable.
