This laptop is everything I needed and more! It is so light-weight, plenty of storage & speed with the SSD is mind blowing! I had read reviews about sketchy WiFi but I connected right up and have had no issues for the approximate month +\- I have owned it. Very portable and with all the Yoga options just are added bonuses for me. I would highly recommend this laptop.

After about four years using my old Samsung I decided to upgrade, and I am really impressed by this machine. It's lightweight and thin, but packs enough power to do the things I need to do. The touchscreen is great, and the keyboard is laid out very well. I would definitely recommend it!

    Great Laptop For Students

This lap top is great. Its super light and easy to carry around. It's the perfect laptop for students who need a laptop for note taking. If you are buying this laptop to use for gaming as well there may be some issues with the laptop's native resolution and the necessary resolution for your game. I ran into this issue while trying to play the sims 4 during winter break. Other than that I would definitely recommend this laptop to students. It's light, fast, the screen is beautiful, clear and bright.

Really love this laptop. Very light weight, and extremely fast for your basic needs. I'm a software so I use this for some light app development and it's really great. I also didn't think I'd be using it but being able to fold it into a tablet is actually pretty useful sometimes.

I purchased based on a BestBuy associate recommendation.... and I LOVE it. The computer is fast, easy and intuitive to use. The touch screen feature is especially nice... I now wonder how I ever survived so long without a touch screen feature on my laptop! Computer is fast and screen has great resolution -- great for work and movies alike. ;)

I am engineering student and PC gamer. I got this computer for a gift to my sister who just started college. She needs it for word processing and web surfing. I was surprised by the incredibly fast boot time, feather weight but durable construction, and amazing resolution. I slightly envy her but the computers hard drive capacity was a bit too small for me. I would definitely recommend this laptop to everyday to some technical use but recommend buying an external or cloud storage.

I've had my Lenovo Yoga for a little over a month now, and so far, I love it. I use it for business purposes (spreadsheets, Word documents, some business related software), surfing the internet, email, blogging, and social media. No gaming or other intense usage. The touchscreen is responsive, the battery recharges quickly, and I love the fact that the machine starts up so fast. The backlit keyboard is great. Although it weighs in at a little over three pounds, it's a heck of a lot lighter than my old eight pound laptop. I slip it into an envelope-style cover and carry it in my purse. I've purchased a blue tooth mouse and 10-key pad for work and they both function perfectly. Sadly, the Yoga only has two USB ports, so I have to juggle accessories if I want to connect more than two that require a USB port. Because the hard drive is small (256GB), I try to keep it clean by removing photos I don't need or those that I've already uploaded to my blog, and I've found that I'm using cloud drives more productively to save space. I was able to remove some of the manufacturer-delivered bloatware when I first set up the machine, but am still trying to figure out if there's more I can delete. I've had no problems with this machine, but saw in reviews that others have, so I'm holding my breath hoping that it will continue to perform well. The touchpad is sensitive so I turn it off using the F6 button when I'm doing lots of typing. My biggest complaint is the Windows store - their app selection is seriously limited compared to the Android store, but that's not Lenovo's fault. I've just had to find workarounds for the apps I need but can't find on the Windows store.

Will be able to travel with it and get tons of use out of it. Have nothing but positive in regard to how it works and looks. Shipping was lightening fast and free.

    Great ultrabook for good price

I like this ultrabook a lot. I have previously owned windows 7 laptops, but this is the first touchscreen based ultrabook I have owned. I bought the model with a 256GB solid state drive and i7 processor and wireless AC adapater, and the boot-up time is incredibly fast. I also considered the Surface Pro 3, but I prefer having a built-in keyboard. Even with the built-in keyboard, the yoga pro 2 is very slim and light. Battery life is also very good. I use it for hours at a time and notice very little battery drain. I do wish it had an additional USB port though. It has 2 USB ports, but a 3rd port would be good.

    Portable Power House

Portability: I got this laptop to upgrade from my old boat anchor of a laptop that I was reluctant to haul to class on a daily basis. Because I can easily carry this to school and back, its helped me switch over from carrying a ton of notebooks to class to a few lightweight devices. This ultrabook also doesn't burn your lap, and isn't too loud when the fans kick on, but then again, I don't game on my lap, and the only fan noise that bothers me is on desktop video cards. Hardware: As a student, I also like to game. I can play Fallout New Vegas(100% speed on medium settings, and very playable even at high settings), and Skyrim(very playable on medium settings). Most shooters are playable too, as long as you don't go crazy on the settings. I don't use too many high resource programs besides games, though, so I can't say how well art and media editing programs work on this. This is my first computer with an SSD, so the access times blow the old computer out of the water. I'm also amazed by the simple fact that I can turn this computer on and get to my desktop in well under 30 seconds. One drawback is that this computer doesn't have a digitizer, while some similar offerings do(such as the Microsoft Surface Pro 2), but that wasn't very important to me. Battery: Lenovo states that you can get up to 9 hours battery life on this thing. I don't know many companies that are honest about "real use" battery life, and Lenovo is no exception. I used to get about 6 hours battery life, but then I changed the resolution to 1920x1080, because I had some programs that had trouble opening at the ridiculously high resolution. It still looks beautiful, and I seem to be able to squeeze 7 or 8 hours with lower resolution so long as I keep the workload light. Wifi is pretty iffy at class, so I put it in airplane mode, and have more than enough juice to get through a class day. Software: I thought Windows 8 was just silly when it came out. It really doesn't fit unless you have a touch screen interface. Thankfully with the touch screen and the hardware, Windows 8 on a Yoga 2 Pro plays out as smooth as a tablet, but I would say that this ultra book is just a bit too cumbersome to use as a tablet. I actually enjoy using what apps are available in the (admittedly scarce)app store, because of the smooth interface. You can have up to 3 apps side by side, one of them being the desktop if you choose, on screen at once, so its a decent multitasker. I'm not very fond of Lenovo's "air gestures" or camera gestures that seemingly activated at random so I had to disable that within a week of using. Now there has seemed to be "teething issues" when the Yoga 2 Pro came out, like bluetooth or wifi issues, but they must have resolved that by the time I received mine. Even the best manufacturers have lemons, though. This was a pretty hard decision with the great offerings between Samsung, and Sony, but I am very happy with my purchase.

Amazing display, fast start up, runs all programs, so far, without incident to include the online Star Wars The Old Republic. The. Apps it comes with are useful, though I can't figure out how to setup the facial recognition lock. Unlike my previous HP, this computer is not full of pre installed junk ware and is not running updates every time I use it. Being in the military I love the versatility of the tablet, tent, stand, and standard positions and the extreme light weight. The casing has remained solid enough in the desert sands. I've got only a couple things that could be better. I would like to have a cd drive, but that's what you get with an Ultrabook. I would also appreciate a longer battery life.

The first unit I purchased stopped connecting to WIFI after three weeks. I researched online and found this was a common problem. I tried numerous fixes but nothing worked. I ended up replacing it for another one and the new one has worked fine. There are still a few bugs but I am not sure if that is related to other WIFI issues with my provider. Over all this is an awesome computer. I have not seen the color issues others have noted. The touchscreen works great and the ability to flip the screen around and use the laptop like a tablet works well. The tent function is also an amazing feature. I would definitely recommend purchasing this device.

This laptop has sufficed for what I have needed up till now, and has certainly been far better than my past laptops. Primarily I wanted a laptop that was light, good under the hood, and had some of the innovative technology that has become popular (e.g. touchscreen and tablet transformable). From researching numerous brands, the Yoga 2 Pro seemed to match my needs the best at a reasonable price. Certainty you can get the higher-end laptops with similar features, like Asus and Sony, but at a cost of around $2000. With a graduate student's salary this is quite unreasonable, and the Yoga was right for my budget coming in around $1100. I have been pleased with the performance in mundane activities such as surfing the web and watching Netflix, but I was even more happy with its performance in my work. I do a lot of coding in MATLAB which involves running scripts and as well creating graphics. The Yoga performs well in these tasks, especially in creating the graphics which sometimes bogs down laptops, and in running MATLAB's benchmark test received a higher than average score. For me, its work utility has been the most invaluable quality. However, the computer does have its cons. One of those is the keyboard which I just haven't got use to. It has "slick" texture to it that makes typing a little difficult sometimes. Additionally, when typing the track-pad can get in the way causing the cursor to jump in some random location. Another problem I have encountered is that due to its high resolution, sometimes the scaling of objects on the screen are off. Perhaps there is a way to fix this permanently and I just haven't looked into it enough. Other notes: -The tablet option is pretty cool and useful for reading papers and articles. -The keyboard lights up, which is helpful in the dark -There is quite a bit of ad-ware, but some of it interesting and worth checking out. If you don't like it then just delete it. -The speed on start-up and opening programs, only if it is just a by-product of having a solid state drive, is awesome. -There is a power setting issue, mostly due to Windows, that causes the screen to flicker. It's fairly annoying but can be fixed by adjusting the different power options.

Got Yoga2 Pro and was real happy with it. Spent 2 days getting it Tailored to my operation and then started getting messages that hard drive was creating Smart Messages that drive was failing. Removed my changes and returned for refund, Interface was very frustrating in getting it customized. Win 8 did not seem to want to cooperate or I was expecting it to do too much similar to Win 7.

I was the proud owner of a lenovo yoga pro2 for about 1 week until I decided to opt back in to an apple laptop. The computer itself isnt bad and it is a great concept, being extremely portable and fun! My only quarrels with the laptop was its battery life and noise it made when the fans turned on. I got about 4-5 hours on a regular charge and if I recharged it while using it to its maximum capacity I only got 2 after that. Apparently I needed to turn off the computer after a charge to get the battery working properly for some reason. In addition to the battery life the computer would constantly turn on its fans, which were loud, thus making the computer pretty hot from the bottom. If you expect to use it on your lap think again. I wouldn't say this is a terrible computer but there was room for improvement. I would recommend to wait until the next generation of lenovo yoga's to buy one and for the new windows os to be released!

I haven't explored this computer enough yet to give a super detailed review. Speed and features seem to be as promised. I had an issue with the brightness - there are a few tutorials online to help resolve that issue. It would go from too dim to too bright with nothing in between, which was very irritating at first. I don't complain about things I can't control, like the fact that Windows 8 is stupid. I'm looking for usability and this computer provides it.
