Pros: Perfect laptop for the Win 8 interface. Fast, slick, elegant, overall just a pleasure to work with. Has a good wow-factor to it when sitting next to the usual array of MacBook Airs Cons: Gets kinda hot, can be a little slow to switch between the different modes, throttles CPU too much in tablet mode, can't disable natural scroll direction

The lenovo yoga 2 pro is great. It's lightning fast, weighs hardly anything, and the screen is gorgeous. Overall its just a well designed form factor. The flipback capability is super convenient, and the hinge system feels very sturdy. One problem users may encounter is that the screen res is actually so high, there is not a whole lot of 3rd party software that will support that high resolution of a screen (for example google chrome, itunes). Meaning that a lot of the software isn't caught up with the hardware. my only real critique is that the trackpad could be larger. But it is better that the hardware is more advanced than the software than the other way around, software will catch up. My last computer was a macbook pro, and this is a good computer for apple users who need/want to switch to windows.

I am happy with the entire machine but the mouse totally sucks. As I move the cursor, I never know when it interprets the movement as 'Enter' and end up many places Ii never intend. It id hard to aim and control where you want to click and once you click, the cursor gets pushed out of target. Very frustrating. I will no longer use this mouse but will replace it with a wired mouse. It might take one or more attempts to press 'Enter'. It is unpredictable and all depends on your touch and where it is touched.

Great bang for the buck. The option of going from laptop to tablet, etc is excellent. The light weight, speed of the processor and amount of ram are perfect for how I'm using it. Constantly taking it from one place to the next. Battery life is good and the back lit keyboard is an excellent feature. The only downside is the screen resolution, the HD resolution shrinks a lot of the fonts and pop up boxes down so small they're hard to read. I'm going to look for a work around on this problem. Other than that a fantastic convertible laptop!

Had paid for repairs twice and Its broken again

I'm writing this review late because, I just noticed other reviews with a response from manufacturer which is its a lot better response than calling support. I paid almost 3K for this laptop. I used this laptop 7 times before it first broke. I used it if I have to print stuff for work or do evaluations for my interns. This computer is broken for the third time. This is the nature of what happens....It just shuts off and on non stop until the battery dies and its the same problem each time. I read the reviews and they said it was a problem but no one could help me. Since I paid so much I took it to a local computer shop and they fixed it for $125. They had to change something. It broke again last year after just turning it on after a while and I told myself, I paid so much I'll have someone else fix it. It cost $150 this time. It worked 5 times and guess what I turned it on today and its broken again with the same problem. I don't know what to do. I don't want a new laptop. This is is practically brand new and no scratches. It works great when it works though. Please help me exchange this laptop for a new one. I can't afford to keep paying for repairs. FYI, my friend's husband has the same computer and he said not to do the update and his is fine. Mine updated while I left the room. =(

Even if this is on sale, you DON'T want it. It's sleek, light weight, pretty, paid the extra for this model for the better processor, and seems okay to start with, but give it a day, you'll be hit with the problems left and right, and Lenovo does NOT care to fix them. 1) The screen flickers in and out of brightness, constantly, while in use, with no power savings on. Gets dimmer every day. Soon I won't be able to even see the screen even when turned up to full brightness. 2) Then there is the heat in the back - no fan for the new hard drive and it gets hotter than HADES! Do NOT let your kid use it on their lap, they WILL get burned, it gets that hot. 3) The bluetooth only works when it wants at first, and then the settings all disappear and it doesn't work at all! If you care to find a fix for that, give it up. The Lenovo forum on the Lenovo home page makes it clear Lenovo is not fixing this problem, so any bluetooth mouse you purchase is a waste of money. 4) Then there is the modem - it works on and off, when it feels like it. You swear the internet must have gone out, but no, everything else in the house will work. You just have to wait until the computer decides ITS going to work! The problems are not the wireless router, the modem, not the bluetooth mouse, not the chargers, all the problems stem from the computer. Do NOT get the Yoga 2 Pro, no matter HOW cheap they want to pawn it off on you for. It's a rip for $1000! It's a rip for $500!!
