Sexy computer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great computer. Not sure what the others mean about the Yellow being bad. It looks fine to me. The battery life is my only complaint. I get about 3hrs of use at 80% brightness. Also, I have not had any WiFi issues. Best Buy easily has the best price on this i7 8gb computer with 256gb hard drive.

SCREEN MIRRORING WONT EASILY WORK...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this to replace an aging Sony Vaio. Most of the features were great, and then, I tried to use the project to a wireless monitor function. I'm very tech savvy. I could not get this function to work at all. Screen Mirroring was the thing that ultimately sold me on buying this laptop. After several hours of frustration and research, ALL of the tech forums for this product agree that the project to a wireless display function is finnecky at best, and at worst, does not work at all. I tried a multitude of ways to wirelessly connect. It just doesn't work on its own. Maybe I need a Miracast or some other dongle to get it to work, but that is not what I was sold. Now I have to go back to the store, explain the problem, and deal with CS's excuses on why they may or may not accept this return.

Great computer except for the heat.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently purchased this computer and is has been great. However; the reason for my lower rating is that the computer can become very hot around the vents making it difficult to rest on your lap.

Avoid Lenovo Yoga Products!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I looked at many other products before deciding to purchase this laptop, but ultimately decided on it because of the combination of performance specs and form factor. The laptop is light, ultra portable, and fast. Unfortunately, the build quality is horrible on this machine. After owning it for two months I figured out that the HDMI port is recessed too far in, and unusable with normal HDMI cables. I called Lenovo about this and they said that this had been recognized as an issue, but as of yet they had no fix for it. I asked if they had any type of adapter to fix the problem and was told they were still researching the issue. HORRIBLE! I had to buy an HDMI adaptor from Amazon to mitigate this issue. About 4 months later, the headphone jack just stopped working. When the headphones are plugged all the way in, you get no sound; about quarter of an inch out, you get sound on one side, and if you're lucky enough to pull the plug out to the precise spot, you get sound on both speakers, but good luck getting the headphone plug to stay there. We tried multiple sets of headphones just to make sure, and the results were the same with all of them. I did find another adapter which converts a USB port to 3.5mm headphone jacks, but do I really want ANOTHER ADAPTER? What happens when the USB ports start failing??? This machine was too expensive to have these kinds of issues after only six months of very light use. I plan to go to Best Buy this week and ask for warranty coverage to hopefully fix these issues. In the mean time, I would recommend that people stay away from Lenovo Yoga products. If you do a web search for the same issues I've encountered, you will see that they are consistent with reported issues of this and the newer generation of Lenovo Yoga ultrabooks.

I liked it but I had to rteturn it
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For an i7 it doesn't perform much better than my i5 Gen 3 ultrabook. The Passmark rating for my i5 Ultrabook was 1600. This i7 got a rating of just 2000. I would have expected around 2800 to 3200 for an i7 Ultrabook. I really did like this product but in the end I returned it for two main reasons. First, the screen colors did not meet my expectations. I have seen many comments about the yellow issues, but my deciding factor was that the whites were not white, but a cream color compared to my other laptops. My Surface RT 32 screen was brighter and whiter than this one. I use the computer for text entry all the time and a bright white screen in important to me. Second, twice the touch went away and I could not operate the screen using touch, just the mouse. It did come back after a few seconds, but that also concerned me. Best Buy was great about the return. No problems there. Thanks Best Buy,

So far, so good
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this to replace a 9 year old Toshiba laptop, and to get me away from having to sit at my desk all the time. Despite its light weight, the Yoga 2 Pro feels solid. I am able to run virtual machines with no problem. The only issue I have is that some applications do not know how to deal with the high resolution screen.

High-end Ultrabook that's actually affordable
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While the Yoga 2 Pro offers a very good laptop / tablet combination, it ultimately makes an excellent laptop more so than a tablet. This is down to two things – the first with Windows not being the most pretty to use in Portrait mode, and the second being that it’s still a bit weird to feel the keys at the back of the device when it’s folded into tablet mode. However, these are far from deal breakers, and at the end of the day the Yoga 2 Pro is probably one of the best Ultrabooks I’ve seen this year. Its beautiful design combined with decent hardware make it an excellent choice for anyone looking for a superior yet affordable Ultrabook.

lightweight and thin
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro is one of the best Ultrabook on its price range. I've been using this Y2P for 2 weeks now and never encounter any major problem. The only downside of this product is the display. When the brightness turned down to low, about 20%, the display starts to flicker. I've done every set-up for the display like the auto-brightness, power saving, etc. and still never get through with this problem. It only happens if I turn down the brightness to low. I've read a topic in Lenovo forum and that's really the common problem of this device. I'm still waiting for the solution. Other than that everything works well.

Great Computer for the Money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Like some other reviewers on here, I originally purchased the lower, $999 model and found quickly that a 128GB hard drive fills up much faster than it used to. So I said to myself, for $200 more, I can get a faster processor, double the memory, and double the hard drive space. I'm am very happy with the purchase. I do estimating in my business and our software works in landscape mode, so this is the perfect machine for this type of work. Battery life is very good, although some may argue this point. And I have not had any issues with my wifi connections where ever I am. The display is very high res, which causes some applications not to display properly, but the software vendors are addressing this issue as more and more machines hit the market place. My only negative is that the case is designed as a slip case, meaning you can't use the machine in laptop mode with the case. The other con is the lack of being able to upgrade the hard drive to a larger size. True the drive is a solid state drive, but they should design a way to allow users to do this. But, overall Lenovo has designed a great machine.

The good is so very much better than the bad is ba
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nothing much to say here. the Yoga Pro 2 represents lenovo' stop of the line consumer laptop and as far as specs, design and build quality goet, there is no caparison in its price range. Not even the infamous MacBook Air. what I do not licke about the Pro 2 is its almost mushy keyboard and the mouse that seems to just draw oils out of the human finger, leaving it in an constant state of looking dirty or just oily. This I hate.... if someone knows of am Oleo phobic touchpad shield I can buy to cover this surface from fingerprints, please share the wealth. Confession,, Today I packed it up and took it to the mall to return in in lieu of the thinkpad version. Needless to say, I still have it. ..pound for pound this thing is the best you can buy. not even the thinkpad youa 2 comes close..Its absolutely gorgeous.I cant put it down

Did not upgrade well to Windows 10
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Due to driver and other upgrade-related issues, the performance of the machine has been disappointing since upgrading to Windows 10. The machine really does not have the zip that I had anticipated from an i7 processor.

Good laptop
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this laptop but I had to exchange it three times before I got one that actually worked correctly. That was my only major complaint. The other thing that is slightly irritating is the batter life.

Excellent at first, now having an issue.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased my Yoga2 Pro last July. Everything worked as expected. Now the display beginning to exhibit back light bleed in the four corners. The bleed is quite pronounced when viewing a dark screen. Otherwise, I feel it is a good machine. I am think about taking it in to Best Buy and let them look at it. If they think it is excessive I will send it into Lenovo for repair. :(

The best laptop/tablet
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this laptop for my son at college. It is absolutely awesome. It is fast, powerful, and the tablet capabilities are awesome. My son loves the solid state drive because downloading assignments is almost immediate. Anyone needing a powerful laptop/tablet, this is it.

Worst Laptop Ever
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Can't relly decide which is worse, the Windows 8.1 operating system or the terrible touchpad control. Both will result in the most frustrating experience you have ever had with a laptop. The touchpad is so bad I resorted to carrying a small USB mouse. Windows 8.1 should just simply be abolished. The quirky controls coupled with the horribly unresponsive touch pad will leave you screaming with unwanted zoom ins, outs, skips, you name it. As a very, very longtime laptop user, mostly Dell and HP, I figured laptops were a commodity now. Not so with this piece of junk.

Best high-end, ultralight, super display laptop
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hi, I simply love this laptop, the yellow color problem mentioned is to be ignored for the value it provides overall, there is no match to this laptop including Apple. 8GB, 250GB Solid State, highest resolution amongst all others, ultra light, extreme design 2 in 1 laptop+tablet+tent modes. What more can be asked at this price. Thanks to all who made this possible. Lenova, Intel, MS Windows 8.1, Best Buy store and everyone else for their contribution.

high screen resolution makes readig impossible.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this laptop because it includes a keyboard and was a much better deal than Microsoft's Surface Pro i7. windows 8 is a pain to learn. The screen resolution is much too high. If you need glasses this is not the PC for you. I can,t read the text. I lowered the resolution and set text to 200% and now the icons are distorted, but I can read the text barely. There are also issues with the web. Pages not loading. Proxy server errors, etc. I do not have these issues with my other laptops. I would not buy this again.
