Totally stopped working
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I only used this for 1 year and a half and now I am shopping for a new laptop. I will never purchase any Lenovo product. I think they got inferior products and a waste of money. Won't turn on! Won't charge. I got a lemon.

Not the Best
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The things that turn me off about the yoga 3 was the short battery life, at max you may get 4 hours. The AC power cord is also short about the length of a cell phone charger. The screen constantly flickered which was very annoying. I saw people complain about the fan motor but it didn't bother me at all. I really like the way the Yoga looks and the key board had a great feel to it. I had it for a week and really tried to like it but the flickering of the screen was to much. I went with the HP Spectre 360. and I'm very happy. Hope this helps

Great experience
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wrote a glowing review of the Dell inspiron right before exchanging it, in store, for this Yoga and I like this Yoga even more. (Best buy customer service was great and were more accommodating to deal with than I had anticipated btw) I picked this up a few days ago and it's been flawless. It also has none of the minor issues that the Dell had that were bugging me such as slow boot time, glitchy track pad, poor scaling and a few others I can't think of right now. The funny thing is that I hadn't really noticed that those things bothered me so much until I started playing with this Yoga and realized how much better it handled these tasks. The little bit extra for this Lenovo was well worth it in my opinion. Lenovo's maturity in this 2 in 1 segment shows as they've clearly got the details of what makes a very user friendly laptop ironed out. This far it's been a pleasure to use. Boot time is literally 5 to 6 seconds and all apps open instantly, a testament to the SSD in the Yoga lineup. I'm a pretty picky user and when something isn't quite right, it bugs my like crazy. I can't think of a single thing thus far that bugs me about this laptop and can't imagine what standards someone would have to have to be disappointed with this purchase other than outright hardware or software failure. I'd absolutely recommend this to friends and family and that's the best endorsement I can give it.

Great performance hindered by screen and mouse
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've owned this laptop for about 6 weeks, about two weeks into owning it, the screen started flickering repeatedly. A restart would typically fix this, until one day it flickered until horizontal deadlines appeared on the top of the screen. I returned it as I was within the return policy, customer service swapped out with another of the same model, no issues until yesterday when the mouse and touch screen started to go haywire, and would touch/click everything on the screen all at once. This completely rendered the laptop useless, and after much reading in the Lenovo forums, I am now convinced that this is a hardware defect. Many other users of this laptop have experienced issues with the touchscreen conflicting with the touchpad, and experiencing what I have. Others have also experienced the horizontal screen tearing issue as well. Normally I would speak great things about Lenovo computers, but this one just seems to have issues upon release. I will most likely be trading in for the HP Spectre x360 or the Dell inspiron 13 7000 or even the older Yoga 2 Pro with the i7 or the Thinkpad equivalent, as I have read nothing but positive reviews with the occasional lemon. Good remarks: Great solid performance, I use this laptop to code in java and C++, and it compiles relatively quickly. Typing on it is a breeze, though a bit cushy but that is easy to get used to. Battery life was a little less than advertised, running at about 7 hours compared to the advertised 8.5-9. Still better than most laptops. This alone is why I didn't give it a 1-2 star rating, as there are still redeeming qualities about the laptop. Negative: read above. Other notes: Issues with sleep mode are there, however, I feel that is (and has been) an issue with Windows operating systems since the XP days.

Great!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought this computer open-box at a HUGE discount (almost $300). The salesperson was excellent in directing us to the right choice for our college freshman. The computer is super fast and has great features. Very pleased!

Returning it
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a yoga 13 pro (first version) and I thought I'd update it. Big mistake. The fan runs constantly and it is REALLY WARM on my lap. I only surf the web, there is no reason that this should bog down like it does. The track pad is terrible. I was hoping it would glide easily like my old one, but it sticks and is not user friendly. It almost hurts the bottoms of my finger pads since I'm constantly scrolling. The computer has a cheaper feeling over my old one because of the hard plastic, which I didn't think was a big deal, but I guess it is. Good points - it's fast on start up. The touch screen works great and has beautiful resolution. I enjoy the chicklet keys also. Sorry to say, it didn't work for me.

My first Lenovo is awesome
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was skeptical about purchasing this product based on past reviews, however, I decided to give it a try. I visited the Lenovo site to make sure I received all the latest drivers/updates. Overall, this laptop serves my needs and it flies!

First Lemon I've ever purchased
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this computer for my fiancée to use for work. Since day 1 we’ve noticed Wi-Fi issues where this laptop is lucky to download at 5mpbs. My other computer on the same router downloads at around 110mbps. The upload speeds are actually faster than the download speeds. Sent it in to have the Wi-Fi card and touchscreen fixed they acknowledged an issue and said they replaced the Wi-Fi. They made no mention of the touchscreen on the returned form. Well I get it back and the Wi-Fi card still is a dud. I call them back up after verifying this thing is a lemon still and they want me to go through the same process that they just used that couldn’t fix the problem in the first place. I requested a new computer but since it’s after 30 days of purchase I can’t return to best buy for new one. So I have to wait another 3 business days to get an answer from Lenovo. I heard nothing but good things about Lenovo’s hardware in the past. It’s my first experience with a Lenovo machine and the last.

Awful experience
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Used the laptop for 2weeks, was so happy with it, apart from slowly learning how to work it. Then it completely stopped working, black screen. Took almost a month to get back from service, they replaced the motherboard. Then I ended up taking it right back to be sent in for service because spots in the screen started going out. Over a month of time for this second service, I was told the computer cannot be fixed and to go back to Best Buy for credit on a new computer, but they did not include the $100+ price of my warranty because the computer damage was "my fault due to pressure damage," even though I had only used the computer for a couple weeks and I was not rough with it. Ridiculous problems and a waste of my money. I'm a broke college student, I did not have the time or money for this awful situation. I really hope this new laptop from bestbuy works, bought a different brand with the same features. I really needed a reliable computer for school and this Lenovo Yoga was not. I was told by bestbuy employees this was the computer to get but they were wrong. I hope their new suggestion for a laptop is right this time.

Ghost touch, battery
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After a while the computer started experiencing the ghost tough problem that appears to be common with this device. Battery life is short. Fan is almost always running. Charge cable is short. Other weird Lenovo quirks like the thing that only allows it to only charge to 60% now no longer lets me have the option to even charge to 100% Otherwise it is lightning fast with a quality display.

buyer beware
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just bought this a couple days ago, and successfully upgraded to windows professional. I tried to turn on bit locker, as it was promised to me in the software upgrade literature, but to no avail with some TPM error. Best buy wants a software service membership plus a new windows professional license key...over $350. Microsoft denied culpability saying "we know Lenovo changes the BIOS configuration and its their fault. call them, or pay us the software service fee and a new version of windows professional...over $350." Lenovo denied culpability for all the same reasons except this time its microsoft's fault and I have to pay, you guessed it, $350+ to fix it. my office with over 10,000 employees said over half the people who buy it have the same problem. oh yeah, there is also over 350,000 hits on the first google hit to have a solution for this, so its well known. Steer Clear! I cant wait for the class action to be filed on this.

Nothing But Problems This This Laptop
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this laptop around May from a local Best Buy. I was between this and the Surface Pro 3 for a laptop for our business. I ultimately chose this one due to the higher amount of RAM since I'd be using Corel Draw on it regularly. After about a month, I had constant issues: 1) The charger has to be plugged in exactly right to charge. Sometimes you have to wiggle it a little bit to get the outlet to recognize it. 2) The browsers run super slow. I' ve tried Firefox, Chrome, and Explorer all three. None of them run properly, so it's not a browser issue I assume. 3) Programs lock up constantly on it and have to be reset in the middle of work. 4) It drops internet connections a lot and has to be constantly reconnected. 5) Bluetooth mouses drop connection a lot. I've tried 2 different ones and still have the same problem. I don't really have a lot good to say about the device. It's not Best Buy;s fault. They were great, but I've had problems since about 2-3 months in and am well past my point of returning it!

Laptop is great...Best Buy credit card is a joke
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best Buy provides products to customers for a reasonable price and offered warranty's which suffice the average buyer. I recently purchased a Lenovo laptop which I have enjoyed very much with no complaints...except for the Best Buy credit card. This was an awful decision if you decide on it. I had set up a minimum payment "auto payment" that was never initiated and caused my credit to take a major hit. FYI...if you set up for auto payment, get a confirmation number, email, mailed information, or whatever helps you sleep at night because they will come from behind and you their all. Best Buy credit card SUCKS and has been nothing but a burden to me. Also, if you call they will lack the ability to speak English, or even understand it. Thank you.

Do not but this lap top
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. To much Lenovo software loaded, very slow, changes screens without prompting while you are working on something. the internet accessibility is the worse, I put it side by side with my Apple Mac Air which is 5 years old and it takes forever to pick up the Wi-Fi in the house every time, wish I would of stayed with the Apple

Like following a school bus
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Go a little bit, stop and wait, go a little bit, stop and wait. So slow. Can't multitask. Keyboard and mouse constantly freezing up. MS Office "not responding" on half the time. Browser freezes up. Terrible. Bought for my business. Going to go back to my old computer.

The worst product I have ever bought
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this laptop in July, in less than 2 months it's broken, doesn't turn on, and the support in Brazil, can't help, because I bought in the USA. I don't recommend this product to anybody.

My worst laptop buying decision ever
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Simply hate this laptop. Should have followed my instinct and gone for a Dell but salesman convinced me this was a better buy. The Windows operating system is simply not user friendly at all. One wonders what the so called gurus at Microsofr think of user friendliness. Obviously they don't seem to care that much because they must live in a world of their own.
