Didn't last
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My son did thorough research before we purchased this Lenovo laptop. It's failing both mechanically and internally after one year and two months of fairly light use and handling. Network adapter works approximately 1/2 the time (started soon after purchase). Keyboard ceased being responsive (started 2 weeks ago). Screen won't come on unless he hits it (started today). We didn't purchase this with the intent of replacing it in a year. We bought it to take him thru his four years of college. Not only was it a poor purchase choice - trying to find time mid-semester during mid-terms to have it repaired is more than inconvenient, it's near impossible. Beware.

Not Long Lasting
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the price, this laptop was a dud. It was only about 7 months after purchase that the thing started to have all sorts of problems with shutting down on it's own and the screen going black for no apparent reason. Did not suffer any drops or damage, other than regular use. Was sent back to the maker in order to get the issues fixed and was sent back to us in same exact condition with no change. Would not ever buy again.

Good laptop, a few things need to be fixed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been using this 2-in-1 for over a month now and my reason for the purchase was for grad school. I was able to purchase it with my student coupon and it was on sale, so the total before tax was $650. Based on price, I knew I couldn't get a better laptop. Let me start with the bad things first: -Windows 10, which isn't Lenovo's fault. Hopefully in time it'll work through the issues, but things like Microsoft Edge (internet explorer# are frustrating. I like the new design and fluidity it provides #like going to shopping sites and Cortana pops up saying she found a coupon# however, it's faulty as it continuously stops working to a point where I have to use task manager to actually kill it. -Wi-Fi #FYI you will need an AC router if you want to get good Wi-Fi# sometimes has trouble connecting, which is usually fixed with a restart or shutting the computer and opening it back up again. Some people could find it annoying but it happens maybe 1x every 10 days so it's whatever to me. Also, my computer came set to turn Wi-Fi off when the battery power was low so FYI if anyone is having that issue, be sure to check your settings. -Bloatware. Not terrible compared to most, but still annoying. -It's misleading to say it comes with Microsoft Office, when in fact it is only a 1 month free trial of Microsoft Office 365 #not sure if that's BB or Lenovo). -SUPER SHORT charging cable!!! 6 ft is not a very good length compared to the cords they supply with thinkpads. Now, onto the good things: -The ONE thing I absolutely LOVE about windows 10 is the ability to split screen automatically. As a student, I find this especially helpful when I'm doing assignments in word and comparing to online readings. It's seriously amazing and definitely outweighs any bad Windows 10 things. Hands down. -Sleek, good weight, durable feeling 2-in-1. I personally wanted a bigger computer and find this to be perfect. One of my course texts is completely an online book, so I find it comfortable to flip this to tablet mode and just read. -Backlit keyboard/feel of keyboard. -Battery. Seems pretty good, I haven't timed it but I don't feel like I'm charging it all the time. -Performance is pretty good. I've had a couple times where lagging has occurred, but I'm beginning to think that is Microsoft Edge, so not really the computers fault per se. It handles what I need it to do. The fan will kick in when I'm doing too much but it keeps on trucking. Can't really complain. Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase. I had debated between this and the HP Spectre, but decided this was a better deal. If I had to do it all over again, I would still pick the Lenovo.

Perfect laptop but...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This replace my Toshiba E45t Yoga 3 14 inch is faster, lighter, portable and easy to carry around. The keyboard feel good and its easy to type on but not as good as yoga 3 pro The screen quality looks beautiful clean and more HD then just HD battery life can reach to 7 hours if it wants too.... Pro. Light, faster, battery life is longer Con. Touchpad is ok once you get use to it keyboard is not as good then yoga 3 pro overall nicely done but one thing I usually don't tilt the screen around I don't care much about it good laptop

Love it!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this laptop!! There was a little issue in the beginning with Wi-Fi connectivity (it would disconnect and reconnect randomly and frequently, interrupting my online classes or video streaming) and I seriously considered returning it, but I just Googled a fix and haven't had a problem since! It's fast, for my needs at least (education, word processing, e-mail, Hulu and general internet surfing), lightweight and I LOVE that I can fold it in half and make it a "tablet". Definitely worth the price I paid.

Great Laptop for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Enough processing power for everyday use of common programs. This model was actually fairly free of stupidware as I call it, nothing that was not easily removed. the highlight of the laptop is the keyboard! Backlit, responsive and a joy to type on. I normally use a mouse, but I did try out the trackpad, and it was 100% better than the trackball I had on my old laptop (hp stream) and noticeably more responsive than my daughters dell 2-in-1 The screen is bright and clear (I would never go back to less than full hd) and the speakers are nice.

This laptop will do a good job for you
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had the yoga 3 14" for 2 months now it is very quick at start up it takes you to sites very fast and operates with ease. I have had a few time the screen has expanded with only the lightest of touches. The screen touch has frozen 3 times and I had to reboot to get it back to the touch mode. Of course I use it each day. For nothing works 100 percent all the time and what I mean by this statement is if its made by man then there will be some glitches just not to many we hope. For this reason I will give the Yoga 3 5 stars. For the average user this machine will get the job done and more. My wife has a MacBook Air and it has also had a few freeze ups in the 6 months she has been using it. Now I have trouble keeping her of the Yoga 3 because of the touch screen feature. Windows 10 has been great the battery has a very good charge life 0f 8 to 9 hours depending on what you are doing. Anyway if you need a good overall machine the Yoga 3 may be the one for you.

Bubbling Issue Resolved
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I don't know why my previous review was under the Yoga 3 11inch Laptop priced at $799.99. Because last week they had the Yoga 3 14inch priced at $799.99 now its back to $899.99. Anyway I originally bought my yoga in-store for such a hefty price @ $999.99 and you would think that it wouldn't come with anything wrong with it. I had this mouse/bubbling issue the 4th or 5th day of using it. Luckily it wasn't after the 15 day exchange/return policy that Bestbuy has. Anyway, I searched online and found an update which resolved this. I am posting this for people who may have encountered the same issues. At first I did a reset of the laptop and that totally messed me up. I also uninstalled the synaptics drive and downloaded the downgraded version because I though that would help the mouse/bubbling issue but it did not. Made it worse, doing so-I got the blue screen "WATCHDOG" issue popping up everytime I shut the computer down and started it up... but I realized after researching that I needed to install the latest Synaptics drive. I installed the latest drive and that lessened the mouse/bubbling issue and the watchdog issue went away.. but FINALLY I found the firmware which LENOVO addressed about the bubbling issue. I upgraded the firmware and I have been using my Lenovo nonstop!! I tell you. It is fixed! HOORAY! So I am posting the link below for others!! (This was my post from earlier) So after much searching I found this update from Lenovo Website on the bubble issue. I updated the firmware on the site and WAALLAAAH!! My Laptop is working condition. No more bubbling. IF you bought this LAPTOP the firmware update is for you!! Not sure about others but please check here. So there is hope. Here is the website: https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/yoga-series/yoga-3-1470/documents/ht103512?tabName=Solutions **Yahh!** Let me know if this helps anyone!!

Laptop really nice. Customer service terrible.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The laptop itselff is really nice and easy to use. However it does not come with everything they have listed as included. It list Office 2013 as being included, but it is not. I called the store where I purchased it from and they refused to help me and told me to call 888bestbuy. I did and after over 45 minutes on the phone all they would do is give me a cheaper version (365) that has to be renewed every year. If you want office 2013 plan on paying for it because they will not include it like it states on the overview and the specifications.

It's a good computer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The computer overall is really nice. I have found like many others that the screen isn't extremely great. Wouldn't try to use it outside gets a lot of glare. Also the built in speakers are just ok but not a big deal there are easy ways around that. The biggest problem is the charging cable. It has the converted block with the plug and is just a plain block. Can be very difficult to plug in to some wall outlets. Also has a very short charging cable. Trying to find a longer one.

Better Than My Macs!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After switching over to Windows from Mac this is my family's third Lenovo and the best of the bunch. I honestly can not find anything but pro's and no con's. First the build quality. While the outside is like a tough rubberized plastic, the inside is brushed aluminum much like entire casing of our Lenovo Edge 2. This helps to save on weight, but they did carry over plastic lip that runs around the edges of both the top and bottom of the laptop and acts like a bumper to stop accidental dings and dents; maybe my favorite feature after denting my aluminum Macs to death. The keyboard is excellent and trackpad is the best on any PC I have used. Backlighting on the keyboard was a deal breaker for me and this unit had it. Second performance. It boots in about 5 seconds, no kidding, 5 seconds. Now you will need to uninstall all the factory bloatware first. The solid state drive makes it just so much more faster than a PC with a regular hard drive. The addition of a full fledged Intel Core i5 instead of an Intel Core M series even though with 8 GB of Ram and the Solid State drive you could easily get by with a Core M processor. Applications open without even the slightest hesitation and run extremely fast. Lastly it appears to have the latest Intel wireless card as it will take the full 100-110 MBPs speed that we have in our area. The tablet mode works fabulous like our other two Lenovo's couldn't ask for more in that department. If there is a downside it is that it is only a standard 720P resolution and not a Retina display, but no big deal for what you get versus what you pay for it. I had been hesitant to buy a laptop smaller than a 15" because I am a musician and run programs I need to be able to read at a little distance from; I think I found the sweet spot with a 14". Lastly I bought my as a refurb here from Best Buy and it came in perfect.

Three defective computers in three weeks
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really, really wanted to like this computer. I am incredibly picky about my technology: I wanted something light but with a 7+ hour battery, capable of multitasking streaming video and running productivity software, comfortable keyboard with a dedicated home key row, and preferably under $800. This computer more than met those expectations. However, each Lenovo Yoga 3 14 I've gotten from Best Buy has been defective. The first one's keyboard cut out completely within four days. The second had a defective touchscreen and would act like I was mashing my hands against it, causing it to open and close windows and programs on its own, when I wasn't even close enough to the computer to touch it. I took my chances with a third on the strength of the Yoga 3 14's reviews, hoping I'd just gotten a couple of duds -- but this keyboard has randomly cut out twice and the touchscreen occasionally won't register. This problem is currently fixable by restarting the computer, but for Pete's sake, the computer is less than a week old -- I shouldn't be compromising on functionality already. It will be going back tomorrow, and I'm going to have to suck it up and get the HP Spectre X360 for significantly more than I cared to pay for a laptop. It's a darn shame, because I love everything else about the Yoga 3 14. I just consistently can't get it to complete basic functions properly.
