SSD failed @ 16 months
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My one star review is based on Lenovo's failure to stand behind their product. The solid state disk drive (SSD) failed at 16 months. The Lenovo warranty is for one year, but the Samsung warranty for the SSD is for three years. This is not an after market SSD. This is the SSD that came installed in the laptop. Lenovo would not help me. That's just shabby! Shame on Lenovo.

Excellent computer, but pricey
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This computer is a really good 2-in-1, but for the price you are paying you deserve more. Overall, this laptop is really good, but at this price you can get better laptops. I think that the only way to justify its price is that is beautiful.

excellent laptop
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Yoga 3 pro is much faster when browsing internet than traditional hard drive (5400 rpm). The screen resolution is great, best I have ever seen. The touchscreen is easy to use. Accessing files on hard drive is almost instantaneous, much quicker than I am used to. Ability to use as a tablet is really handy at times. I really love this laptop.

Just not good enough
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bestbuy salesman told me this was fanless and that the core M was better than an i5. It has a fan and the core M isn't as good as an i3. It is a beautiful machine, but it really is underpowered, the battery life is miserable and the sound quality is bad (crackles and pops). PROS: Boots very fast, is quiet (despite the fan), is cool (to touch) and is a really, nice looking machine. CONS: Poor processing power, poor battery life, poor sound, poor streaming, lots of Lenovo bloatware. I want to like this laptop so much, but it just doesn't justify its price. This should be an $800 machine tops. For this money get a HP Spectre i5/i7 or even the new 13" Dell XPS. One last thing. I am a windows guy. I can use a Mac, but I am much more familiar and comfortable with Windows. Out of all the Mac laptop reviews there are only 3 ratings of less than 4 stars. One of them was mad because he bought the wrong sized Mac and another didn't know how to use it. Whatever windows laptop you look at always has has some legitimate complaints about quality, the OS, or complete failure. I am a windows guy, but I don't think I will be for much longer. This has been true for years. Why do we (windows users) accept such inferior products?

Great computer - terrible turnaround for repairs
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro. I purchased the extended warranty and Geek Squad plan. It worked well for one month and then in the middle of typing, it shut off. It would not power-up again. I brought it to the store (BestBuy) and checked another power cord. It did not work. I was informed by Geek Squad that they have to send it to Lenovo in Kentucky to be fixed and it will take 2-3 weeks. I am very very disappointed. If i ran my business this way, i would surely fail. They should have extracted the hard drive, inserted it in a loaner and let me use the loaner while the Lenova was being fixed.

Very Disapointed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the Yoga 3 pro, I was very impressed with the build quality however there is a huge shortcoming in the CPU of this thing. It was piratically unusable. It wouldn't even play 1080 videos on you tube without skipping. Fully charged I'd only get 3.5 hours of battery. I don't know if I got a bad build or not I took it back and exchanged it for a Yoga 2 Pro with an i7; which I am very happy with. The Yoga 3 pro was almost unusable, it was like running Windows 7 on an Atom. Is that what the Core M is supposed to be? My phone can load things faster than this machine could? Great design; horrible performance.

Overall a great laptop
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had this laptop for approximately 2 weeks now and I can honestly say that I am truly impressed. Lightweight, thin, ultra clear image, fast response rate and love the ability to be able to use it as a laptop or tablet or any variation in between.

Worst Computer I Ever Bought!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have owned Dell, HP's, Compaq's, IBM's and this was the worst computer I have ever owned. I bought it for the Hard Drive size, the small footprint (easy to carry, lightweight, the lighted keyboard, and the touch screen). I bought the computer in the Spring of 2014 and right out of the box the space bar didn't work correctly, very finicky. Sometimes I would have to tap 2 or 3 times to move the cursor. I lived with this inconvenience, but about a month ago the numeral 5 and 6 key stopped working entirely. The the next day or so I got a BLUE screen, long story short it required I needed a recovery disk, which didn't come with the computer. After an hour and half on the phone with Lenovo I thought I got some resolution and I would have to send my computer in for warranty work because of the blue screen, and also to fix the keyboard. I was told it was ok to take my computer to get the data backed up, because it would be lossed when my computer would be wiped. I took my computer to Staples to get the data backed up and they weren't able to do it. I then tried Microcenter and here is what I was told, "Lenovo uses a hard drive they aren't real familiar with and not used in any of the computers they work on." Microcenter attempted to contact Lenovo technical support without any success. This was the same problem with Staples, and thus the stories matched. I wasted about 3 hours driving my computer around the city for no reason at all. When I called Lenovo back to tell them this, they sent me to another departmement, saying I had to spend over $190 and buy a service plan and would take 5 days to send me a recovery disk. Additionally, I will need to purchase an external CD drive to run this disc another cost. Lenovo said that they could talk me over the phone to back up the data probably another 2 hour event, and install the back up disc. I am extremely skeptical that I will be able to do all of this over the phone, when two reputable shops couldn't do it themselves!! Then after I am forced to play around with all the software issues, the computer still will need to go back for the key board issues. Don't buy a Lenovo! Worst experience I ever had I should have purchased an Hewlett Packard. I have 3 HP's at home never no issues with them. FYI, I am typing this review on my HP. Hope this helps in your efforts to purchase a computer right for you.

Slow,Slow, Slow...Poor in Productivity
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the Yoga Pro 3 only 6 days ago. As of today I am ready to return it. It is so slow. Took two days just to sync files from dropbox online to PC. I also had issues accessing the Google Drive. I bought it because of the light weight / ease of portability and the laptop case was a nice classy addition. However all of those things are least important when productivity is next to a standstill. Worse laptop ever!!!! It is really a beauty but truly lacks in the ability to get work done.

Lenovo is not a trustable laptop (zero stars)
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this computer almost a year ago and have nothing but problems related to the battery (which is the only reason I'd purchase a laptop convertible). The battery issue began after 6 months where the battery would immediately go to 0% even while it is plugged in. I have been working with technical support to update all of the drivers. Then they need to completely reformat your hard drive and reinstall Windows OS thus any software, configuration or local files are completely erased (so you need to make sure you completely backup everything before going through this process, which is extremely time consuming to have it stored in the cloud to not lose it). Now after they've completely wasted your time, you get to send in your computer to them to have the battery repaired. This only takes a week or so. The computer works great now but who knows how long this will last for. The true issue is Lenovo has wasted days of my time backing everyone up before allowing them to format it and going through their ridiculous process knowing it is a standard hardware issue related to the battery. If you search of this issue you'll find it in multiple blogs on the internet. I believe this is one of their big downfalls with this model which is why I would not recommend it to anyone.

Horrible Experience
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was so glad when I bought Lenovo yoga. No, I'm so disappointed. Battery works a short period of time. Now, in 9 months after buying, I'm using tablet mode only. It doesn't work other way as it supposed to be .Anywsy I don't recommend Lenovo to anybody.

Piece of Horse Dung
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Worst computer ever. Within a month the USB ports and the HDMI ports stopped working, I was writing my graduate dissertation and saved it all on this poo known as a computer. One day it crashed, lost it all. I was told two months after buying it, the motherboard was bad. I sent it in and they replaced it.. So here I am, the second one, same problems. The ports have stopped working and now I am just waiting on the whole thing to die again. The computer randomly decides its been put into tablet mode, then back into laptop mode whenever it wants. Overall, I HATE this computer. I would NEVER EVER BUY ANOTHER LENOVO again. Untrustworthy piece of animal excrement.
