It obviously was packaged damaged. That was a hassle. I had to go down to Best Buy in vestal and was offered something “similar”. It did replace it with the same model that was delivered to my granddaughter for college. Just wondering what kind of warranty is on it? Thank you for your reply.

Decent laptop

Touchpad is not that great, sometimes does not register a light tap. Opening the laptop is annoying because you have to touch the webcam unless you open it without using the lip.

To start, regarding the touchpad issue, to help remedy this, first, in Windows Settings, follow these steps to get to touchpad settings: Bluetooth & Devices > Touchpad. There should be an option to toggle touchpad options there. Also, under the "Taps" option in this part of the menu, you can adjust touchpad sensitivity. If this doesn't do the trick, then try installing any available updates through the Lenovo Vantage app by selecting the "Check for updates" button on the homepage of the app. Then, check for updates in the Settings app by selecting the Windows Updates tab and selecting "Check for updates" button.
If your issue persists after applying updates and restarting your system, we then recommend reaching out to our support team at this number: 855-253-6686, and providing a representative with details of your issue, so that they may help by providing a solution for you.
With opening the laptop, we recommend leveraging the "bump" that protrudes out the top of the laptop lid as a leverage point to open the laptop.

If it starts to get hot you can simply adjust the screen so that the air vents let out all the hot air. The color imaging is also great and super vibrant.

I WANT TO ADD MY GEEK SERVICE TECHNICIAN AHMED WAS OUTSTANDING. He preserved to ensure conversion of Optimum email history was transfered successfully during my setup appointment OUTSTANDING!!!!

Great laptop for my purposes.

Also, Geek Squad loaded Webroot on my computer and McAfee continues to pop up-that is annoying! Everything else is good.

We strive to provide the best experience possible, so if you'd like to, we want to work with you to try to improve your experience by addressing these pain points.
To start with battery life, there are many variables that contribute to shorter battery life. Thankfully, many of those variables can be adjusted. By default, the system will tend to give more speed when needed, which can sacrifice battery life. If you want to squeeze out more battery life, we recommend utilizing the Lenovo Vantage application that is preinstalled to adjust settings related to power and battery performance (to access relevant settings, open Vantage > Device Settings > Power). You can also take advantage of the keyboard shortcut, Fn + Q to toggle thermal modes and easily switch between prioritizing battery life or power, or even the best of both worlds.

But nice keyboard touch and quick operation.

To start, regarding fan noise and brightness settings/features, this could stem from system software and optimization. We recommend ensuring you have the latest software by checking for updates, as this could correct the issue. To do so, first, open the Settings app > Select the Windows update tab > Select the Check for updates button, applying all available updates. Next, open the Lenovo Vantage app > on the homepage, select the Check for updates button, following on-screen prompts to apply all available updates here as well.
If updates have not resolved brightness control issued, we'd love to learn more about what the issue is to assist you more precisely. For example, are the brightness function buttons not adjusting display brightness? Does display brightness seemingly adjust automatically in a way that is inconvenient for? Please share what you can and reach out to us via the Q&A section of the product page so we can continue a dialogue around this.
