Fit for Purpose

It is noticably slower that the Microsoft Surface Book that is replaces. Speaker volume and timbre could be better. Biggest issue is that I cannot use Miracast with NordVPN which, I am told, is due to an inferior Wi-Fi chipset used by the Yoga. This means I cannont use it to stream to my TV due to resident NordVPN processes.

The Battery life was not as expected (could be just my specific laptop), but had to exchange the laptop because the battery life was so inconsistent (only 4-5 hours of battery life in normal class room usage)

Windows 11 and AI are a little different, but overall it seems nice. I wonder a little about the hinges being tight but hopefully they don’t break down the road. I’d buy again

We are glad to read that the Yoga 7 2-in-1 has been great for you overall.
Regarding the heating issue you mentioned, this Yoga features an active cooling system, along with other components and software, designed to enable the user to power through work without throttling due to heat produced or have the system shutdown due to high internal temperatures.
We recommend that the bottom of the device, where the air intake vents are, is clear of obstructions to increase air flow. Additionally, this Yoga features Smart Control, enabling the user to use the key command combination of Fn + Q to toggle between thermal/performance mode. For instances where you may use the device in your lap or a situation where the intake vents may be obstructed, we recommend switching to cool or quiet mode to help with the heat felt on the bottom of the machine.
Also, please check for and apply any available updates through Lenovo Vantage and Windows Update Settings to help ensure you are using the latest software and drivers to ensure your system is running as efficiently as possible.

Excellent laptop!
