Missing USB standard A

Good Laptop -Terrible Mediatek Adapter

Owned for 4 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I normally don’t leave reviews, but the wireless and Bluetooth issues on this Lenovo laptop deserve a warning for anyone who relies on stable connectivity. The laptop itself is fast and well built, but the Mediatek Wi Fi/Bluetooth combo card has been a constant source of frustration. I’ve had repeated problems that I never experienced on my older HP with an Intel adapter. Major Issues: • Bluetooth pairing failures Simple devices like the OBDLink MX+ refuse to pair reliably. Windows shows the device, attempts to connect, then immediately drops with “Connection failed.” It took hours of troubleshooting, driver resets, and service restarts just to get a basic serial profile Bluetooth device to work. • Unstable Wi Fi, especially on 6 GHz The laptop struggled to stay connected to my Eero network. I eventually had to disable 6 GHz entirely because the Mediatek adapter would randomly disconnect or refuse to authenticate. My other devices — including older ones — have zero issues on the same network. Bottom Line: The hardware is fine, but the Mediatek wireless/Bluetooth adapter is the weak link. If you depend on stable Wi Fi or Bluetooth for work, diagnostics, or peripherals, be prepared for driver issues and unreliable connections. If Lenovo offered an Intel AX210 option, this would be an easy five star machine. As it stands, the Mediatek card drags the whole experience down.
