Double thinking my purchase…

Overall, the laptop worked well at first and the setup process was simple. Unfortunately, after about a month of use, the speaker stopped working. I went through all the recommended troubleshooting steps and even contacted live support to try to resolve the issue. When that didn’t fix the problem, I ended up reaching out to Lenovo directly and had to start a warranty repair request. It’s a bit disappointing to run into a hardware issue this soon, especially since this is my main computer for school. I’m hoping the repair process goes smoothly, but I did expect a little more reliability this early on.

Regarding the heating issue you mentioned, this Yoga features an active cooling system, along with other components and software, designed to enable the user to power through work without throttling due to heat produced or have the system shutdown due to high internal temperatures.
We recommend that the bottom of the device, where the air intake vents are, is clear of obstructions to increase air flow. Additionally, this Yoga features Smart Control, enabling the user to use the key command combination of Fn + Q to toggle between thermal/performance mode. For instances where you may use the device in your lap or a situation where the intake vents may be obstructed, we recommend switching to cool or quiet mode to help with the heat felt on the bottom of the machine.
Also, please check for and apply any available updates through Lenovo Vantage and Windows Update Settings to help ensure you are using the latest software and drivers to ensure your system is running as efficiently as possible.

You have to restart computer everytime you power up to use keyboard. There is a fix in settings but it slows computer powering up and down.

Dull lifeless display

Otherwise it was a solid built laptop. We upgraded to the Yoga with an OLED display.
