Great idea bad execution

So then the sales associate recommended I get this one. Too many glitches. The mouse doesn't work. It works when it wants. The battery is great. For some reason it doesn't connect to wifi. I sometimes have to restart or reboot the laptop so it connects. Great idea bad execution. I should have gone with Apple.

The first time they replaced the mother board and sent it back. I tried it the next day and the same critical error appeared. It is back in for repairs and if it is not fixed this time I will demand a new unit.

The Lenovo Yoga 700 seemed to be the best combination of quality, performance and price. The laptop had great reviews and didn't disappoint. My son is very happy with it. We bought an open box unit online to save a little money and it was just like new. Would definitely purchase open box again.

Pros It is small, light and runs cool and quiet. Feels solidly built. Backlit Keyboard is nice for the lowlight work. Cons No blu-tooth. I found obtaining a proper micro HDMI connection adapter/cable too much of a hassle. The cons are rather insignificant in all.

Does exactly what it needs to do

I wanted an SSD, mainly to speed up booting and loading programs. It does just that. As with our previous Thinkpads, it works just fine, and provides decent performance at a decent price. She's not using the touch screen much, but I suspect that will change. Overall, a good choice on our part.

Some issues with the graphics drivers out of the box but easily resolved with an update. Other reviewers have had issues installing the update - on my machine, I had to disable the old driver (and use the generic Windows display driver) before I was able to install the updated driver. Everything has worked great since then.

You can follow the link below to Lenovo.com support-drivers and look for new driver updates for network-WiFi for your specific system. Be sure to create a restore point on your system before you make any changes, then create a new restore point once the issue is fixed. Here is the link:

It is very quick and has great battery life. I honestly didn't think that I would use the tablet function of it that much but it is actually a really nice feature.
