Great 2-in-1 after Geek Squad repair!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this for my daughter for a graduation/going to college gift. Got a great deal on an open box unit. But kept having LOTS of issues with mouse pad and display. Took to local geek squad twice, and they were able to fix it the second time using a patch from Lenovo because I discovered it was a Lenovo known issue. Once it was fixed I told my daughter I would gladly trade my larger Lenovo laptop because this one is so much faster (both have i5 processors, but this one must have the newer, better version). This 2-in-1 was very frustrating at first, but in the end, after a Geek Squad agent used the Lenovo patch to fix it, I was very glad I got this for my daughter! Also glad that I got the Geek Squad extended warranty!

Loved at first....
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was SO excited to get a new laptop after not having one for years. I did a ton of research and the Lenovo Yoga models were getting excellent reviews in comparison to MacBooks at a lower price point, and better overall ratings than the similar Dell 2 in 1 model. I liked the features, gorgeous image quality, sturdy construction, and the touch screen. I had wireless connectivity issues almost from day one, and the tracking pad was jumpy (as in the curser jumped around on its own). I figured that even though this was a mid-range laptop and these issues could probably be tweaked & fixed, it should work properly while brand new and who knew how it would perform after 2 or 3 years. Although I liked the matte plastic body of the Yoga, it showed oily hand residue (hand-lotion) very easily. I returned it for a certified open-box 13.3 Macbook Air for the same price (sale price even!) and I am thrilled.

Love this computer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this computer. I have the 15" version. Love the slim, light weight design. The keyboard touch is the best I've ever had in a laptop and allows me to type faster with it. The only weird thing is that they put the DELETE key in the top right corner (that's fine) but the INSERT key is 4 keys down on the PgDn key that you have to hit the function key to access. It's a delight to use this laptop.

Perfect for entering college freshman
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased for my daughter who's entering college this fall. This laptop is the perfect size. Small enough to slip into a backpack without compromising on screen size. With an SSD it is super fast. No bells and whistles, but also not a ton of bloatware. The free Internet Security was also a nice bonus. I would buy again.

Good product for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It had been awhile since my last laptop purchase and I'd say I don't regret my decision. Some graphics issues but they have since been addressed. I just use it for the basics and it does just fine. Could be a little faster at some points but for me it works fine.

Great price for a laptop/tablet
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So this is my second Lenovo. This one wasn't as thin as my last laptop, but still has great portability. I like that it is light enough to travel as I'm always on the road. The screen is a little touchy, but works well and good for the price.

Great size, underwhelming visual
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for something to replace my older macbook pro and ipad, so I knew I wanted a 2 in 1. After reading mostly positive reviews, I went with the Lenovo. I like the size, but I can't get used to the screen resolution. I can't put my finger on exactly what it is that bothers me, but I'll continue to play with the settings and see if I can come up with a better configuration. Seems to hold a decent charge, but I like my screen bright. I'm not a huge fan of how the keyboard feels when typing, but again Apple has a superior feel (which you pay for). For the price, I am happy with the purchase.

Great laptop for college student!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was debating between a MacBook and the Lenovo for quite sometime but I felt that the Lenovo was a better suit for me due to the tablet feature and touch screen option. I love being able to make this laptop mine and customize it the way I want to. The Lenovo has so many more features on it than the MacBook and I am pleased with my decision.

More Problems
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had this less than 2 weeks. Started having download issues so I took it back to Best Buy where they said that the McAfee security program was causing the problem so they uninstalled it. (and gave me a free Web Root as a replacement program). A few days later the Driver failed. It took 2 calls to Lenovo tech service to get that repaired. The next issue was the screen, when it was turned on I got light bursts all over the screen that would go away after about 15 minutes. Took it back for a refund!

Fatal error crashed the pc - BRAND NEW
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would NOT recommend this Lenovo product and based on some comments in the Lenovo support forum, I would think twice about buying Lenovo products. There is apparently an ongoing issue with the graphics card in Lenovo products and how it interacts with WIndows 10. Specifically this Yoga 700 problem has been generating Video Converter Errors since at least summer 2015. My brand new Yoga 700 began having video failures from day ONE. My browser would often lock up and crash and I'd have to restart the browser numerous times during a session. Finally, after the 6th day of owning the pc the entire computer shut down unexpectedly and rebooted without prompting. When the pc came back online it requested a password to gain entry to the desktop. I never created a password, only a 4-digit PIN. Because I didn't have a password, I couldn't restart gain access to the desktop. I called Lenovo Support and their only recommendation was to have Best Buy try to download any saved files that I had put onto the harddrive during those 6 days of ownership and then do a master reset and return all the settings on the pc back to factory defaults. That was unacceptable - I totally lost all confidence in the product and in the Lenovo brand. I returned the pc for a full refund and purchased another pc brand entirely. BE CAREFUL and do research online before buying this pc!

Its just OK
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had the Yoga 700 for about 6 weeks. I was attracted to the light weight a slim profile and it certainly met my expectations on both. Unfortunately the battery life is only a few hours so being away from an electrical to long isn't much of an option. The keyboard lights up in the dark which is great for after hours work but the finish on the laptop and the keys is a major skin oil magnet so the laptop also looks dirty and I cant imagine my frequent windex cleanings are good for the finish. My BIGGEST disappointment is the video the laptop never knows if your wanting to be in tablet or laptop mode and the video driver is constantly getting caught then you have to wait for it to free up then clear the alert message which sometimes pops up multiple times in succession. Bottom line I wouldn't recommend the Yoga 700 to a friend I would suggest adding a few hundred and getting a better quality machine, the aggravation factor is not worth the savings.

Posted .Thank you for choosing the Yoga 700-14. The issues you mention, the video driver getting hung up, sounds like a driver update issue. You can follow the link below to Lenovo.com support-drivers and look for graphics and video driver updates. Be sure to create a restore point before you make changes, then make another after you correct the issue. By the way, you don't want to use abrasives like Windex on your system. It will scratch the surface. Use a good screen cleaner that does not contain ammonia. Here's the link:

Good so far but concerned
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So on here the laptop got 4/5 stars average so not bad. I got this laptop 2 days ago. Just worried. I have seen reports of the laptop failing or something going wrong after a week to a month. I bought this laptop for college so I am hoping it will last at least 2 years. So far the laptop is excellent. Just from looking at other reviews though I feel there's a 50/50 chance of this laptop failing early on. I guess I will see but I am hesitant to wait past the 15 day return policy.

Posted .Thank you for choosing Lenovo! We believe your system will continue to perform up to your expectations. If you haven't already done so, you might want to set your computer to NOT automatically update. You can find the tips/tricks article on this subject at the link below. This will give you time to create a "Restore Point" on your computer you can go back to if an update causes compatibility issues for your system.

SUPER NICE BUT HAS ISSUES
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this as a geek squad refurbished laptop for a discounted price , What a Sweet laptop as far as features , looks , absolutely what I was looking for . BUT ... when I tried it out .. instantly notices the phantom screen issues .. multiple windows open if you move curser with touch pad .. when I tried to use touch screen , faint large bubble / dots appeared on screen and again multiple window opened . Brought it back and Geek squad employee was rude about the issue saying all windows touch screen laptops have that problem .. NOT SO I did read other reviews that recommended to get latest DRIVER for Display hardware inside laptop and maybe update bios .. I used to do those things with less expensive models in the past .. felt I shouldnt have to do it in this case .. nor did I want to do so. anyway returned for refund .. but sad for doing so , because if not for that hardware/screen issue it was the " perfect " laptop .

Great computer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just got it, I love the speed of it and the backlit keyboard. I had an HP before and had allot of problems with that one. So far I am very pleased with the purchase. I would consider getting this brand again.

Very loud, poor camera quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The computer crackles 90% of the time. It's so loud to the point that I stopped using it in class because it was disturbing other students. The camera quality reminds me of a early 2000's flip phone. Pros: great battery life, cool features from windows 10, awesome idea to combine a tablet and laptop Cons: very slow even though the specs say otherwise, loud, crashes a lot, annoying pop ups, video streaming interrupted by pixilated lines, Final words: great concept just needs to work out some really major kinks
