With regard to the right shift key issue you mention, there is a free software APP called KeyTweak that may help you. You can switch the key functions of specific keys on your keyboard with this software, so you could change the right shift key with the key you hit in its place. Just Google search "KeyTweak" and you will find articles about what the software does and you will find the download location for this free APP. lenovo

Got bad in 3 months of purchase. Lenova fixed it. Stopped working after 1 month. Does not have international service support. Currently in India. Have to throw this off. My money gone. Best buy: Please dont keep such junk in your showroom. I am a regular customer and yet nobody warned me about this junk.

Failed after second use. Lenovo says known problem. Took it back to BB per Lenovo request. Nothing they can do, except give another or refund. Not sure why Lenovo selling them to BB if known hardware failure error. BB tech said I was second person today to return same model, a few others over the past week.

    Great standard use laptop

My 2 or 3 year old laptop was having problems that couldn't be solved with a Windows refresh/reset, so after weeks of futile troubleshooting I decided to simply buy a new one. Based on reviews here I bought this laptop and have been enjoying it for about one week. The size is perfect if you don't mind a smaller screen, but for travel use it's a great factor. The screen is crisp, the keyboard size and feel is decent, and the CPU speed is more than adequate for general surfing, email and standard office type applications. The touch screen is a nice feature that I enjoy. The screen flips back entirely in "tablet" mode, but it's really a bit heavy to use as a tablet. As a laptop, however, it's very light and super thin. It doesn't have an ethernet port like I had on my old laptop, which can be helpful in some cases, but ultimately it won't be required since most of my access is wifi-based. It has one USB port which is fine as I never need to connect more than one USB drive on an average day. About the only thing I didn't like was the micro HDMI port. I have plenty of regular HDMI cables, but didn't have a micro-HDMI cable, so that added about $15 to my purchase (I found a cheap one online). I will also say the small-ish (100+ GB) SSD drive is quick and energy-efficientt, but is small compared to the 500 GB SATA drive I had previously. It also had an unused "Windows.old" folder that was taking up about 15 of those GBs (although that could be deleted with a little work to recover that space). it didn't have a recovery partition but it does have a tool to create a recovery image on a USB drive. Otherwise, this laptop was a good choice and I would recommend it.

I was a bit worried about the Pentium processor at first but after using this for two weeks, I have to say I'm in love! PROS: This ultrabook is 2.36 lbs which makes it very easy to bring with you and travel with. I have run medium sized Excel spreadsheets, streamed movies, had multiple Word documents open along with about 11 browser tabs without lag. The 4 gig of RAM could be higher as applications keep getting larger but it does everything I need it to in a very portable size factor. The keyboard is comfortable - and this is coming from someone who types on an ergonomic - and the battery will last me a good 7 hours with mixed use of internet, application and video streaming. The microphone catches my Cortana commands nicely and the wireless is very fast and has a good range. The speakers produce a good sound and can get to a decent volume and the full HD display is lovely. CONS: In some outdoor lighting, the screen can be hard to see. There may be an adjustment but I haven't found it yet. SUMMARY: Overall this was perfect for my needs. I would not recommend this for heavy graphics or gaming but if you need a light weight travel/work/cart around the house computer with full HD then this is a great choice.

This system is equipped with OneKey Recovery System. There is a very small pin hole on the right side of the device, right near the power button and the HDMI port on the device. You will need a pin to push this reset button. Plug the device in. Let the battery charge for about 15 minutes. Push the reset button. The system should boot to a choice screen where you can choose "Restore To Factory Default". Select this. It will delete everything from the hard drive except the original factory install of the operating system. You will need to reinstall all programs and files after the reset. If you don't have copies of the files, try to make one before you restore by selecting "Boot to desktop" and trying to back up your files. lenovo

My 7 year old Air was showing its age and now that I can be in the Apple environment in the cloud I thought I would save a lot of money and look at a Windows PC. I chose this Lenovo PC at half the cost of a MacBook Air. Pretty happy right now. I love the touch screen. Apple is missing the boat. Screen is bright and beautiful. Set up was easier and pain free compared to the last time I had to set up a PC. My Apple email and calendar are all here. I enjoy the tiles for Hulu, Netflix etc.....The different configurations from tablet to tent is really slick. A backlit keyboard would be nice but not a deal breaker. Speed and battery life are really good. Only issue is my concerns as an Apple guy with the Windows platform and potential issues. Last time I had to use Microsoft support it was a disaster. But until then I really like this computer for just over $400 at Best Buy.

I love the size, weight and speed of this laptop. Perfect for our home use, which is mostly web browsing. However, there is one thing about this laptop that drives me crazy! The right Shift key on the keyboard is in the wrong spot. I type using the standard home row position and don't look at the keys when typing, so I am constantly hitting the wrong key. It's in a different spot that any other keyboard that I've ever used. I can't imagine how this got through any type of user testing scenario without being identified.

This is one of those purchases that far exceeds expectations on a daily basis. I was in the market for a Windows laptop and thought that I was going to have to buy a MacBook and use Boot Camp to run Windows on it. After examining every laptop on display I came upon this Yoga 710 on sale for $449 and I wasn't expecting much from it. I was looking for something a bit larger with more robust specs, and not necessarily with a tablet feature. I immediately noticed how much faster this laptop was performing in-store versus the others. No joke! Have to use it to believe it. Windows 10 runs really nicely on this laptop all around!!! Period. Add to it the build quality and design and you may have the best "DEAL" in Best Buy. If you just need a Windows PC because if you do many techie things you just need a Windows PC then this fits the bill. If you need a PC to browse the internet, send emails, log into Facebook, use Office 365, listen to music, and a bit more with the versatility of a nice size tablet then you should give this a hard look. Tech notes on this...great battery life, memory is soldered on motherboard so not upgradeable, SSD is upgradeable. No apparent driver issues to date. Lightweight and ultra portable. AND....Windows still doesn't need more than 4GB to run nicely as long as its swap drive is fast and that is certainly this case with this SSD. Lastly, smaller keyboard and right shift key placement are not such a big issue as far as I am concerned.
