Very Nice laptop for the money. Slim and powerful.

Unfortunately the main fan blows through the bottom of this device, unless you use it in tent mode or tablet mode the device overheats in laptop mode after a few minutes.

The screen started flickering shortly after I bought it. I used it less than a year before recently buying a HP Spectre.

Do not like the layout and have not figured out how to turn certain features off.

My eldest child is using is quite a bit for her school work. I have not used it yet.

Spontaneous purchase based on price, without research. Read reviews after I got home. Realized the strange placement of the RH shift key would never work for me, since I am a touch typer. Returned unopened. On the bright side, Best Buy return was easy, no wait, no restocking fee. Just do it within 2 weeks.

I like it but I don't love it. I was expecting more from this item.

There is an issue with some of these laptops where it thinks the laptop us hotter than it actual is. This causes the fan to spin like crazy even when simply browsing the web. Called Lenevo, they said it is a known issue and told me to return. Checked BIOS updates, too, fwiw. But nothing.

keyboard is conjusted, graphics rendering is slow.

If you will use this laptop ONLY and never use any other keyboard for anything, anytime, ever..... then this could be a fine laptop because your muscle memory will adjust to the keyboard. However the tiny right shift key has caused me hours and hours of lost work and frustration. You will have to slow down your typing and think about using capital letters on this keyboard.

I regret making this purchase. No support from Lenovo Support team even after repeated calls. They keep redirecting me to the Software/Prime support. They were not able to resolve my issue with the Laptop Camera. Even though the product was in warranty.

I purchased the 710 14" last week and so far it has been pretty impressive. It had all the specs I was looking for and was available at a great price ($699). It is worth noting that it has a slightly smaller footprint than some of the other Windows 14" laptops thanks to the very thin bezels, although not as thin as those on Dell's infinity display on the xps 13 which, to be fair, can cost upto $1200 for the variant with specs as good as those on the 710. Its also very thin and has a premium feel to it. Couple of things that didn't work well for the 710 - 1. Placement of the right shift key is on the right side of the up arrow - this makes typing inconvenient. 2. The mouse pad had a flimsy/rattly feeling to it as though some part didn't snugly fit in so I had to get an exchange. Although this is most likely a device specific issue, it was slightly disturbing to see another review on this website citing the exact same issue. Overall - its a good buy for just $699 and if you're the kind of person who is always looking for "bang for the buck" then this laptop might fit your needs.

The Good: This is a solid laptop that performs well. The screen is beautiful and it is reasonably lightweight. I compared this to the HP Spectre X360, and the hinge felt more solid on the Yoga 710 when you picked up the laptop. On lots of the other convertibles/ 2-in-1 computers the screen flopped around when you picked up the machine. I also liked that Lenovo didn't fill it up with a bunch of third-party bloatware. Cons: The touchpad is noisy. When you do a soft touch (not a click), there is a tapping noise from the whole trackpad moving slightly. I went back to the store and tried many of the laptops, and this seems to be common on many low- to mid-range laptops with click integrated into the touchpad and not in a separate button. This does not seem to occur in more premium laptops with a higher build quality. This alone was not a deal-breaker. Overall: Ultimately, this seems to be the best value in the store for a Windows 10 2-in-1 laptop. 6th generation processor, decent battery life, reasonably light, great screen, and a large amount of storage.

Is all that it took for this laptop to become useless to me. Constantly freezing and fatal errors. However, Best Buy was more than happy to replace it with a superior model, Dell Inpiron, as they were unable to fix in store.

I had been looking for a laptop for several weeks that fit within my budget of $600-$700 that wasn't total junk. After searching online for a bargain and coming up empty, I went over to my local Best Buy as my last hope in finding anything, but expected the prices to be way over my head. When I saw this laptop, it's stunning appearance caught my eye which truly can't be given justice over any picture online. I was able to receive a college student discount of $150 which bumped the price down to $599, a price I had never thought such a great laptop would sell for! I had read several reviews about it before buying and saw some complaints in regards to the key layout as well as the "noisy touchpad". The key layout doesn't bother me a bit to be honest and as for the touchpad, I probably wouldn't have even noticed it if someone hadn't pointed it out beforehand. I am surprised that anyone would give this device a one-star rating or return it to the store over two things that don't bother me a bit. It is super fast, the touch screen is extremely responsive and I believe it will be perfect for me to use for college. The battery life lasts way longer that I expected it to, especially when the "Battery Saver" mode is switched on and the brightness is down (it lasted about 6-8 hours). I am very pleased with my purchase.
