Mostly good but with build quality issues

The trackpad is loose and rattles slightly when you tap it. Requested a replacement and the replacement was even worse than the original. So I kept the original and am just living with it. Now, the audio Jack won't recognize that headphones are plugged in. Both of those appear to common issues people are complaining about online. Also, the entire frame creaks when moving it with only one hand. And the pointer is kinda jumpy when you actually click the hard button instead of tapping to click. The last two complaints are things I have also noticed on another, older Lenovo computer I have. The screen resolution out of the box is also not that great when comparing to other computers. I haven't messed with it to try and fix it, but it just seems a little weird. This could just be an easy settings fix. Overall I am slightly disappointed with the computer.

Light weight and portable

Ive had a Lenovo Desktop before and its never been any trouble so when it was time to replace my Vista laptop and i went with this product line. Im not a heavy duty user but do use the laptop often. Solid state really makes a difference in retrieving info and being quiet.

Good for the price

It is pre-installed win10, everything works well. There are some minus disadvantages, 1) the shift button on the right is too small 2) sometimes, it seems not go to sleep when I close the screen. Still, it a good product.

With regard to the system no going to sleep when you close the lid, check your power management settings and be sure you have the system set to sleep when the lid is closed both when plugged in and on battery. Secondly, With regard to the right shift key issue you mention, there is a free software APP called KeyTweak that may help you. You can switch the key functions of specific keys on your keyboard with this software, so you could change the right shift key with the key you hit in its place. Just Google search "KeyTweak" and you will find articles about what the software does and you will find the download location for this free APP.

good product for beginners

The FHD screen is excellent, very gentle on your eyes as resolution makes image very clear. It's has micro hdmi port, make sure you get the same cable if you want to hook up to television. The touch screen is very responsive and has high accuracy. With SSD Windows boot time is pretty fast. Very happy with the laptop so far.

Other than that, very happy. I tried hard to adjust; wanted to keep it. My wife didn't appreciate the language when I kept hitting PAGE UP instead of SHIFT.

A Best Buy employee recommended it and it meets all requirements. Very nice. I wish it had a more options for internal storage though-so 4 stars vs 5.
