Purchased this laptop for my son who is in Middle School. Great performance, touchscreen, flips over, SSD so it's lightning quick. This computer is perfect for somebody in school if you can afford it.

So far my experience with the Lenovo 710 2 in 1 has been positive. The table feature is pretty cool. It is fast and reliable. It is a little difficult to open the screen without feeling like I am going to break it, but nothing bad has happened to it yet. I haven't had any issues with the hinges as previously stated in other comments. Battery life isn't extremely long, such as in an ultrabook, which is why I hope at some point I can replace the internal battery. I am happy with my purchase, especially since I got it on Black Friday for $600. On the Lenovo website I see that they are now selling the 720 though, which makes me believe this computer is no longer their main focus on sales.

I bought this computer because it's sleek, lightweight, has lots of memory and can be used as a laptop, an easel or a tablet. Almost no margin gives a bigger looking screen. Unfortunately it contains Windows 10, which I really don't like at all.

Computer is easy to maneuver, lightweight and price was good. I miss the number key pad, but am getting used to being without it. I love the different ways to fold it and the touch screen.

i just bought this laptop in Feb 2017. at 5 months old i had to send it in due a horrible hinge issue. (lenovo has been known to have bad hinges. wish i would have known i would have never purchased. from reading BB reviews and lenovo forums, there have been several affected models over the years. dates go back as far as 2011) I loved this machine until this happened. the hinge jammed/failed on the right side and shattered the screen! i'm very gentle with my electronics. this machine was in immaculate condition and very well taken care of. no reason to have hinge issues after only 5 months of moderate use. sent it in for repair and got it back quickly. here's where the rest of the story continues going down hill. when i got it back it was filthy. the new hinge has two gashes in it. that's definitely not how i sent it to them. i also noticed that the fix was not done correctly. the lid didnt close evenly on both sides. this made me worry that my hinge issue would return, but this time i'd be out the warranty. they also sent with the machine, an unacceptable repair action report! all it had listed was that they replaced a camera cable.. um... ok? they might have replaced the camera, but what about the hinge work? what about replacing the entire screen? that wasnt of importance to mention on that sheet? i called the service team and told them about my issues. they escalated the case to a manager. i was contacted quickly and was told i'd need to send the machine back. this time it would go to their corporate offices in NC. i was told they'd need 5-7 days. as of today it has been 9 business days. i've sent 3 emails this week and not one of them have been responded to. one email was to request a different manager because the one i was working with was not pleasant. and had the audacity to tell me to purchase an extended warranty if i was so worried about the quality of the machine. RUDE! that's not how this works.. i know they can't guarantee that the issue wont happen again. but clearly i've been inconvenienced TWICE now. the very least they can do is extend the warranty for the hinge/screen for a couple extra years for me. .. you know, like most other decent companies would do who value their customers. maybe the hinge issues dont happen enough to warrant a recall, but admit they're faulty and compensate the customer who's experienced the issue with such a young laptop. and especially a customer who's had to send their laptop in twice, because the first time the repairs weren't done properly. i've been without my laptop for a month since this all started. and no ones returning any of my emails. this is my first lenovo.. also my last. no one in my house will ever purchase an lenovo again. avoid like the plague. I hope NO ONE else has to go through what i'm going through right now.

I went in to get a different computer and walked out with this one. I really love the display and the aluminum casing. The SSD is a new feature to me and I really like it. The laptop is very lightweight and really fast. My biggest issue is simply that the right hand shift button is in a really strange place on the keyboard. But, I am getting use to it. Also, it took me some time to adjust the touchpad to my liking, but I finally have it there. If you can catch this on sale like I did, it's a great buy.

It is very solid notebook for eveday productivity use (do not buy if you want to play more then very simple games on it). It is more then adecvate in any aspect with only few minor complains. It would be great if it would use USB-C for charging, more USB ports would be definitely welcome and position of power button on a side is probably not the best. Excellent SSD speed (accordingly benchnark it is faster than 95% of all tested SSDs), very disent CPU performance, relatively light with good battery performance, very satisfying keyboard (sorry Apple) with light, metallic frame, great fingerprint scanner, impresive 15+" screen with touch functionality (I do not care about touch), good quality compact power supply. Too bad it is not produced anymore.

After going through a few cheap laptops, my wife and I decided to purchase a better model than the typical "disposable" ones we've purchased before. She's using it to get her Masters degree at night, and I'm using it to run a business and work from home during the day. So far, the performance has been great. We've only had it for over 3 months, it it works just as fast as the day we've bought it. Battery has a decent usage life to it, handles any kind of typical school or work functions, and plays movies on Netflix or cable flawlessly. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone for any kind of use. My favorite feature is the fingerprint scanner. Allows us to easily and quickly change profiles. The one thing I hate about this is the shift key on the right side is split in half from a standard keyboard. So, I'm constantly hitting page up instead of shift because of the design. (Shift button was cut in half and page up is in place where normally it'd be just a shift key). It was annoying to the point I was going to return it, but it was a deal if the day, and we had school coupon as well as Best Buy points. Oaid less for computer than what a geek squad protection plan cost, so had to keep it simply because of the deal we got. Luckily I had a wireless mouse and keyboard so I just use that when typing. Would have given it a 5 star rating if it wasn't for the shift key being so small and so far off to the right.

To keep it short, this pc is NOT intended for gaming (can still run Overwatch but at the lowest setting and not 60fps) but rather for school work and other things that you can do with windows. :) I’ve had it for 2 months and I’m in absolute love! One thing to look out for is it’s lack of ports. It only has a headphone jack, two USB ports, an hdmi mini port and an SD card slot. I’m not too worried as I don’t use all ports but that’s something I wanted to specifiy about. The screen is a bit on the soft side of colors and not the brightest but it’s adequate to my standards. also it’s touch screen! Makes my life easier since it’s already a fast pc. If you choose this I’d say you made a great move.

I looked at endless reviews of other laptops before settling on this one. My 9 year old HP Pavilion dv6 finally bit the dust. I got this on sale black Friday weekend and it is an extremely quick machine. Less than 15 seconds from power button to internet surfing. The battery life is awesome I can go a full day on a charge whereas my HP when it was new was only 1.5 hours. The backlit keyboard has 2 levels of brightness but I do not like how spongy the keys are. Wish they had more tactile feedback. But I mainly do iTunes anyway so not a deal breaker.

Very happy with this Lenovo Laptop. Has everything I need in an ideal size, weight, battery life with software and hardware that meet my needs.

This lap top is lighting fast and easy to use. The size is just right for me and I love the versatility of it. Lots of storage with a sharp, bright display and just a great value for the price.

Computer works FAST. But keyboard has odd tiny right-hand Shift key that is hard to find. So I use the 2-in-1 feature to flip around the keyboard and use screen on an easel, purchased a full-sized keyboard in front for my desktop usage. Don't like the resolution, print is too tiny, and adjusting this leaves clarity a bit to be desired. Find the power button to be hard to find and depress. Otherwise, because its is FAST, pretty happy.

I picked this laptop up during Best Buy's Pre-Black Friday event. This was an opened box item with all accessories for a steeper discount on top of the Black Friday sale. The laptop is heavy, but feels good to the touch. Screen is bright. Wow, it took about 5 seconds to boot up. Make sure you get a SSD hard drive, as the mechanical hard drives are very slow. Sacrifice the size and store everything in the cloud. 256gb in my opinion is enough space. Easy set up. I had everything running in about 15 minutes after updating drivers.

First I thought 15.6 screen would be heavy, then this came with excellent configuration an full hd elegant screen with its performance proved me wrong. Currently in love with this laptop

Bought this for 599 during 2017 Black Friday, and I have to say, this is the best Ultrabook there is for the price. Looks and feels premium, works smoothly, and very versatile.

This Lenovo computer is especially fast with the Static HDD... I recommend this configuration. As my "eyes" are getting older I need the "bigger" screen this laptop provides. The (Best Buy) rep showed me the touch screen... I considered it an unecessary gimmick @ first but I do use it more than I thought I would. Windows 10 is not as bad as I thought it would be, however Cortana's frequent interuptions are quite distracting. I have disabled this feature in all ways except editin the registry. For the record Microsoft you goofed this up and might lead this custormer to a future Apple product. Also annoying to me is the MS EDGE browser..always trying to point me to MS sites, and when I use a superior browser (like Chrome) MS Edge puts notices up telling me Edge is "better"... These FLAWS are all Windows 10 items, a younger user may overlook or appreciate WIindows 10.......This would be an outstanding windows 7 machine.

This latop is light, sleek, and fast. Sexy charcoal finish too. Beautiful screen and the touchscreen works great. I really can't complain about anything except the keyboard layout in the bottom right with the right-shift key. That's it. Best laptop I've owned in years. Keep in mind this is an all-rounder laptop - not for use in serious gaming or major cg production but great for everything else.

This is a great machine for the price. A touch heavy when being used as a tablet but still a rock solid option. The only design feature I cannot forgive is the placment of the Shift key on the rightside of the keyboard. It is too far away from the main screen, seperated by the "Page Up" button. This poor placement causes the accidental strike of the "Page Up" button while typing and attempting to hit the Shift key resulting in the need to page down to where you were in the document.

I bought this laptop to replace and old machine we used for basic browsing and email. This laptop is more than sufficient for that. It is really fast, super quiet doesn't weight a whole lot. Some people have complained about the shift key placement but it doesn't bother me at all. Overall good machine for what it is.
