Posted .Thank you for choosing the Lenovo Yoga 710-15. This system ships with a Micro HDMI port. You can use a Micro HDMI to HDMI adapter to connect an external HDMI device to the Yoga 710-15. In tablet mode, the key pad would be onscreen, as the laptop keyboard becomes inoperable in tablet mode. If you need more USB ports, you may want to consider using a USB Hub with this device. Being an ultra portable, 2 in 1 system, the available ports are at a minimum.

There are hundreds for free instructional videos there about Windows 10. Just type Windows 10 Introduction in to the YouTube search window. You can watch free videos there that will show you the basics all the way up to tips and tricks videos and they're all free.

Performance wise, it's a bit slow, having noticeable drops in frame rate in Crusader Kings II and Kerbal Space Program. Strangely it runs Fallout 4 perfectly for me. I've also had problems with the responsiveness of my cheap logitech mouse on this laptop, which I do not have on my other AMD A6 laptop. And finally this is my first 2/1 laptop, and after about an hour of use, I've never used it tablet mode again.

Posted .Thank you for choosing the Lenovo Yoga 710-15. Be sure to turn off the touchpad when you are using a mouse, you can do this by using the HotKey at the F6 position on this device. Additionally, you can make adjustments to the touchpad in your system settings. You can get there by clicking on the magnifying glass at the bottom left of your Windows 10 screen. Type "touchpad" in the search window. Select "Mouse & touchpad settings" from the list of choices. You can make general adjustments to the touchpad there. You can also select "Additional mouse options" for more detailed adjustments to the touchpad sensitivity by increasing the delay of the touchpad.

If you are getting substantially less battery life, be sure there are no unwanted programs running in the background. Here is a link to some tips for finding out what is draining your battery:

If there are no unwanted programs running, to maximize battery life, try changing your power management setting to a more conservative one. You can do this in the control panel, in the power management category on your system. Select a more conservative power management setting to extend battery life.

Posted .Thank you for choosing the Lenovo Yoga 710-15. With regard to the right shift key issue you mention, there is a free software APP called KeyTweak that may help you. You can switch the key functions of specific keys on your keyboard with this software, so you could change the right shift key with the key you hit in its place. Just Google search "KeyTweak" and you will find articles about what the software does and you will find the download location for this free APP.

Posted .Thank you for choosing the Lenovo Yoga 710-15. This system should be a fast system with its Core I-5 processor and 8GB of RAM. Be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programing errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. With regard to the function of the fingerprint reader, there may be driver updates for your specific system. Follow the link below to look for new driver updates for your specific system. You can also run diagnostics from the Lenovo site as well. As always, be sure to create a restore point on your system before you make any changes. You can do this by just typing "restore point" in the search window within Cortana and follow the link to create a restore point. Here is the link:
